I just bought a used 1911 when field stripped it it was very dirty but barrel was clean Looks like they just ran a brush in it and called it good. Unless you’re barrel is pitting or what defender mentioned clean it shoot it or take them to gunsmith if really concerned

Hello my advice is many people will buy them as a parts only. Always need parts myself. 2nd. Your local sheriffs department will take them to get guns off street check with them. First don’t show up with guns makes them nervous 3rd there is a web site for unwanted guns. they will send a box just look up unwanted guns hope this helps

I always like other shooter experience’s with different guns so what I hear is the Glock was the winner on this day I have not had the opportunity to shoot one in 10 mm I know the smith did not win but I really am a big smith fan.
