Baldwin shoots two on movie set, accidental misfire???
bobsguns replied to TennesseeCamper's topic in General Chat
Saw this a day or two ago. I'm shocked they would doctor the crime scene before the cops got there. Shocked, I say. Story -
Miss State vs Auburn today. Should be a good game, IMO. UT vs GA. I just don't think UT has the horses yet to run with GA this year. Hopefully it'll be close. UK vs Vandy. UK has lost 3-4 in a row, they'll be P.O.'d, IMO. Bet they win by 30 points. A&M vs Ole Miss. Should be another good, close game. Lotsa rumors flying around that Mullen is out at Florida at the end of the year. Looks like his team has quit on him, they have no energy & seemingly a lack of focus & effort. Wild speculation about candidates to replace him. Coupled with the USC opening, it'll be interesting to see who gets interviewed? Most SEC schools want someone whom has coached in the conference before, at some level. Leach @ Miss State might be the exception, IMO.

When you beat the #1 seed, that means you've got a good team, IMO. I've never pictured Watertown as a football powerhouse.

Since china covid, they don't want anyone else touching their tablets & stylus'. I can sort of understand that. *I* would've been doing that a long time ago as *I* don't like strangers touching my stuff.............................. Unless they're female, of course.

Aren't you just a ray of sunshine.......................

Powder residue analysis. If you tell them, "I shot Brand X ammo & it blew up", then they'll test for Brand X ammo. Each ammo mfgr has its own formula, different from the others. At least this is what I was told at a NRA convention by one of the industry dudes. I was curious about that as well. No clue if this matters at all these days. There's a fine line between buying affordable ammo & buying cheap stuff that's not safe to shoot. I know I've weaved that line back in my younger years when I didn't know any better. For those of us who need/want to save $$$ where we can, when we can, it's a difficult call. "Do I shoot this or not?" versus "This crap looks TOO cheap for me to ruin a good gun using it." Obviously experience helps in this regard. I remember when GA Arms first got started. People were hesitant to use them because they were new & unknown. Now they've been around for decades & still make good ammo.

Based on similar experiences with FedEx & USPS tracking info, I'm convinced the info is inputted by drunken monkeys on a keyboard. I once had a shipment from FL to TN & tracking showed it somewhere out West. WTF?????? And no, by "out West" I don't mean Memphis. Shipping company employees get away with stuff that would've gotten me fired years ago, IMO.

So................. what's your point, exactly???????

FedEx delivery guys are subcontractors, are they not? I know they're hourly & not commission-based. Probably have to deliver x-amount of packages in a set time or they're 86ed? That would remove a lot of motivation to do the job correctly, IMO.

I have used them as well. A small bit of a drive though, they're off the beaten path. Good folks too. Love the smell of leather in their shop too! -

Yeah, no. That's from over 30 years of watching cops shoot in matches, watching them handle guns in shops & shows. Most importantly, that's from long-time cops whom ARE gun guys that spoke about their fellow cops. Now I agree there is a probably a big difference between rural cops & urban ones. I've had an academy firearm instructor tell me that a lot of recruits have never touched a gun until they got to the academy. I'm not going to get into the after action reports on cops shooting an entire mag & scoring only one or two hits. That's an endless argument & it's not going to change your mind at all, I get that. You want to defend your profession, I get that too. No one is saying they're bad people, only that the majority of them are horrible with guns when compared to us "gun guys". That's all I'm saying. -
Gives a perp an excellent aiming point.

Colt's been doing that for years. Some other makers (plural) are also doing that. Seems I recall Rock Island on their 2011's doing that too? Walther does it as well. The gun business is a super competitive world, more so than cars, trucks, cameras & computers, IMO. The cost of the 2nd mag might be what slides the cost of production from break-even to profitable? I'm certainly not in the business, so I can't speak to specifics but that'd be my guess. Have you not noticed auto mfgrs now only have one external door lock? No more ashtrays? All that times a couple of million & you're talking pure profit back to the mfgrs.

Cops, in general, are THE worst gun people I know. Bad knowledge, bad safety practices, bad lack of experience. Reminds me of that video of giving that monkey a full auto AK-47..................... For those in here whom may be po-po, this is not intended as an insult, just an observation. -
Yeah, I saw that. Britney Jackson, former Lady Vol basketball player from Cleveland, TN. Does seem old Albert still has some control issues. Cops gave him all sorts of chances to calm down & he plowed on ahead until they cuffed him. Sad part is, he was an extremely talented player when he was a Vol & Titan. Yet he pissed all that away chasing the almighty dollar. Sad.

Eh, that's a nasty disease. I wouldn't really wish that on a football player, no matter how obnoxious he is. A politician is a different matter entirely though....................

They're good folks, I've used them as well. OP, just down the road from you is The Gun Crew in Old Hickory. Saves you from cruising Dickerson Road, traffic, etc. Good place to kick tires on exotic guns too. He carries B&T, Korth & other top brands. Good luck! -
Sadly, it's in .22LR, made by Walther. Currently winning the auction on GB for one. Never shot one but do own several Walthers, so I'm sure the quality is there. Gently used, comes with total of four mags as well, so no hunting them down. Any current or former owners, please chime in with comments. Pic is of gun I'm bidding on.

No disagreement on any of that. He's also dying of kidney disease from my understanding. Steroids will do a number on you.

I have. They didn't run the ball even decently against the Rams but thankfully, it wasn't dependent on that. Being ahead 21-3 at the half takes a lot of pressure off. Hopefully we get both o-line starters back as their back-ups are sorely lacking in talent, IMO. In particular Lewan's replacement did an "ole`" block in the first half that should've went for some decent yardage. Instead the Ram OLB got a tackle for a loss. Every other position has quality back-ups except for the o-line, IMO. Defense DID play almost a perfect game though, I agree. Simmons reminded me of the old Haynesworth days. Just a monster last night.
