Baldwin shoots two on movie set, accidental misfire???
bobsguns replied to TennesseeCamper's topic in General Chat
Her entire purpose for being on the set was to take care of the gun(s). Nothing else. Not to stock toilet paper, not to provide security, not to taste the food. It was to KEEP THE GUN(S) SAFE! She failed miserably. Not only did she allow them to get out of her immediate control, she failed to check them when they returned. She's either stupid or was sleeping with someone in order to get that job. Either way, she IS criminally responsible of a certain %. That's where the courts will determine what's what. -

Short answer: $$$$$$. The mil uses a BFA: blank firing adapter. Obviously this is for a semi & not a revolver. But a barrel could be welded-up for the last inch or two & then a small (1/8th or so) hole drilled in it in order to allow gas to escape. Different calibers would be a nightmare as blanks use standard cases but a star crimp. We already have laws against criminal negligence. How well did that work for you? -

I doubt Hollyweird gives a fat furry rat's ass about clouds, black or otherwise. Child prostitution, especially gay, runs rampant in Hollyweird & no one gives a flip. Casting couch requirements have never slowed down, no one gives a flip except for Weinstein, who got railroaded, IMO. There's been all sorts of actors & stunt people who've been killed while filming or rehearsing. Hollyweird hasn't changed anything, in fact they just continue to push the envelope in order to be THE cutting edge movie. There is NO reality whatsoever attached to Hollyweird. -
The irony is everyone will eventually have one of the beautiful guns but there'll be no ammo for it........................

They're fixing to find out how "cheap" hiring cheap help can be, IMO. I bet liability lawyers are salivating at the thought of the award amount. I would also think the insurance company will bow out of coverage due to criminal negligence or some legal type of maneuvering. Once they do that, then the entire amount of liability will fall on the production company, which is likely Baldwin's company. Couldn't have happened to a better guy. -
I'd say the former is the cause of the latter, IMO. I wouldn't mind the .22 rifles though.

Not sure that really matters anymore as far as quality. Personal preference might be another direction though. Wouldn't matter to me as long as it's decent quality.

Accuracy will depend on if they used a one or two-piece barrel, IMO. On their lower end 1911s, they use (or used to) a two-piece & accuracy suffered a bit. I would like to know if a Bar-Sto HP barrel will fit? That combo would be perfect, IMO.

I'll not be taking that bet, no sir. -
Sort of. The story Stanley Kubrick tells is they were rehearsing prior to filming to begin. He was sitting in a director's chair on the set, going over the script or some such. Ermey comes out complete with Charlies, ribbons & Smokey cover. He marches up to Kubrick, squares up to him & begins his DI speech. "GET ON YOUR FEET!" were the first words Kubrick recalls hearing, followed by 10 minutes of insults & a constant ass chewing as only a Marine can deliver. After Ermey finished, he did an about face & marched back off the set. Kubrick said his skin was flushed, his heart rate was off the charts & he thought about having a panic attack. LOL! There was a Kubrick special on cable somewhere shortly after Kubrick died that that had all this in the interview. The original actor for the DI part became the helicopter M-60 gunner during the Viet Nam portion in the movie. Might be on youtube, I don't know. Ermey later said he KNEW that HE should have that part, he was born to play it. He was indeed correct. I too laughed my ass off when I saw that movie. I later rented it & my dad & I watched it, just the two of us. He went through USAF basic in the early 1960s, so he caught the verbal abuse but not the physical part. He was shocked at some of the language of the boot camp scenes, I was just laughing as it was JUST like mine in 1976. Vincent D'Onofrio, who played Pvt. Pyle, is a full blown libtard in real life, FWIW. I wonder what Ermey's Smokey from the movie would bring at auction? I bet close to $100k.

Was listening to Sean Hannity today & he read a story that says the Assistant Director (I think) took the revolver off a cart, handed it to Baldwin & said, "Here, it's a cold gun." Noted was the female armorer was NO WHERE to be mentioned during this transfer nor is anyone other than the armorer supposed to be touching the firearms. Bad juju all around, IMO. -
I want to say I tried that before but I'm not certain that I did in fact on this gun.

If you'd cut the price of the CZ in half, I'd buy it..............................

Titans won big today but Henry got only 86 yards against what was THE weakest team against the run. Still, the Titans won & that's what counts. The Jets (who beat the Titans) just got steamrolled by the Pats. Had the Titans won that game, they'd have the best record in the NFL today. Is there a team currently worse than the Texans? Even Miami isn't that bad. Jeez. Bengals beat the Ravens in Baltimore, surprising me. The Bengals might be for real this year. LSU fans are blowing up Twitter, wanting Lane Kiffen to be the next coach. Wonder what his buy-out is anyway? Be a lot easier to recruit at LSU than Ole Miss, that's for sure. Wake Forrest is 7-0 for the first time since the 1940s, I think. Their stadium only holds 31,000. Good for them though.

TX & GA, the two states the liberals currently hate the most. As PC as pro sports are, I can't believe they're allowing the World Series to be played where abortion is restricted & voters have to show ID.

Cool! Wish I could afford something. I got to meet Ermey several times, NRA Conventions, SHOT Show, etc. He was a super cool guy, always joking with the kids in his line, never rushing anyone.

Gotta be careful on that pesticide stuff. You don't want to kill everything nor pets. Here in Polk Co they've sprayed it quite a bit, doing real well in making a lot of it go away. No clue what they're using, but you'd almost certainly HAVE to have a pesticide license to buy that sort of thing. I don't know if Round-up would be good enough or not? Could call your Highway Dept, see what they're using?

Not at all, he's getting judged. HE is the Producer, responsible for hiring the set armorer. Stories coming out have the female armorer claiming she wasn't "comfortable" with her ability to do her job. Most likely Baldwin hired her on the cheap & as well as an affirmation action hire. He ignored the BEST person for the job, IMO. (Whomever that person may be, I don't know.) He wanted to SAVE money & he did so by hiring the cheapest help he could find. (This would be like hiring me to build a skyscraper. Suicide.) Stories also have come out saying both Baldwin & some of the crew had been shooting the gun with live ammo off the set, playing around (as we all do). Stories have also said crew members have quit over the lack of following safety rules on the set. This shows a pattern of bad behavior, IMO. Obviously you can judge or not, this is America after all. But like the captain of a naval vessel, HE was in charge of the set. But he'll wiggle out of it, sure as hell. -

Not if you're a famous Trump-hater. Then you'd get a get-out-of-jail-free card while some underling gets hung with the blame. Let's blame John in your case......................... -

I bet Charlie Sheen would disagree with that................... LOL! -
I have my dad's old Marlin bolt action & it's developed mold spores or something on the wood stock. I've cleaned it a time or three but they always come back. What can I use that won't hurt the wood but will kill the mold? Thanks!!!!

Hypocrisy is why. Same reason John blanking Kerry supported an AW ban but keeps a AK-47 himself. Full auto, no less. Rosie (where's the food?) O'Donnell wants guns banned but has armed security. Former columnist Carl Rowan, Sr wanted guns banned yet shot an unarmed teen who dared to use his pool. Sean Penn wants to ban guns yet he carried a 12ga pump when he visited New Orleans after Katrina. There's a list of elite hypocrites 100 miles long when it comes to firearms. "Rules for thee, not for me" is their standard.
