  1. Auburn & A&M this weekend. #13 & #14 in rankings. Should be a good game. Bama & LSU as well. I wonder if this might not be closer than Bama wants it to be? TN & UK. UT had an off week, so they're rested a bit from bumps & bruises. UK has had a stretch of tough games. Hope UT can eek one out but I'm not convinced. Don't HS play-offs start this week? Other than MBA, I have no clue who is good this year.
  2. I may be more than just a bit prejudiced against SA OEM barrels. My first 1911 was a SA & it had a two-piece barrel, which left a lot to be desired. I swapped in a Wilson NM barrel & groups dropped to less than half. XD's that I have shot were also less than impressive in accuracy, at least to my standards. I admit to using an extremely high standard here. I'm basing my standards on the guns I own: Baers, Night Hawks, CZ Custom Shop, target pistols like Walther, Beretta, Hammerli, etc. I also admit that might be an unfair comparison. All of those guns cost about twice (or more) than what the new HP will cost. About like putting a Pontiac against a BMW or something. On the lighter side, I've done a couple of things for this gun that I've never done before. I've bought extra mags, I've ordered grip screws & will be ordering new grips this weekend. All this I've not even held the gun in my hand yet. Were I the Devil, I would get a copy of the HP sales numbers & fax them to Browning's head offices. Sign it with a big fat "thanks!" at the bottom of it.
  3. What I make of all that is a first class chinese fire drill. Reminds me of the Pedo Biden administration: no organizational skills, no plan, piss poor execution and deflecting blame onto others. I still ask why the guns weren't locked up & under the total control of the armorer? If she wasn't on-set, the guns shouldn't have been available, IMO. Libtards are always lamblasting gun owners when a firearm is stolen: "Why wasn't it locked away?" Well, right back at them, IMO.
  4. Libtards were aghast when pics of Trump & Melania showed them doing the tomahawk chop at the game in Atlanta.
  5. Ambi safety, different sights & (hopefully) tasteful checkering of the front strap. *I* would be interested in a Bar-Sto barrel or perhaps a Nowlin.

    New Gun!

They recently came out with them. The one I bought was the gun shops first one. We were setting up for the Crossville show & I snatched it right off the table before a price tag even got put on it. LOL!

    New Gun!

24" bbl, threaded as well. I have a 5.7 can so I'll use that one when I need/want to. Still need to sight the scope in though.

    New Gun!

What do YOU mean by "some people"?????!!!!!!

    New Gun!

I disagree. When the owner of a gun making company trashes both the Constitution as well as the gun buying public, *I* see that as a "serious concern". YMMV.
  10. That gun screams for some VZ grips, IMO. I'm off to go shopping.............................
  11. They're caught short with the correct bags, I bet? I also bet they grossly underestimated the popularity of the upcoming sales of this model as well.

    New Gun!

Triggers, accuracy, looks, balance, resale value, etc. Oh, did you forget about Bill Ruger, Sr saying citizens don't need more than 10rds? Or that he REFUSED to sell hi-cap mags direct to citizens? That's the kind of company owner you're defending?

    New Gun!

Well, to a point. Beretta, Steyr, Walther, FN, etc all now have factories in the US. Ditto for Honda, Nissan, Toyota, VW & BMW. As much as I hate saying it, we do now have a global economy, IMO. At my age I've gone exclusively with quality over where it's made. Must explain why I don't own a single Ruger in 125 guns I own.
  14. While some 300lb go-rilla is trying to separate your trunk from your limbs.......................
  15. If they made voting as hard as buying a gun in NY/CA/IL, etc, the liberals would be rioting in the streets 7/24, IMO. I miss shows like Point/Counterpoint where they allowed two different perspectives to be defended as well as attacked. I'm betting libtards got weary of having their ass handed to them in debate.
  16. That's an internal issue. Send it back for repair. Taurus has excellent CS & warranty.

    New Gun!

Sounds like a super nice collection!
  18. His lack of attempts was because they were often 21+ points behind & they had to throw the ball every down. Fewer attempts last year + no carries at all this year = a rested talented RB, I hope! The Mannings had Marshawn Lynch on their ESPN show last week. Peyton asked him if someone called him, would he come back? Lynch thought about it for a minute & then said "no".
  19. Should add "unshaven" to the shirt! LOL!
  20. Did they make you sit in a booster chair when you got your booster shot?
  21. Much like stereotypes, there's usually a good reason behind them. Personally, I prefer the FN & H&K brands on my tupperware.
  22. I actually owned & sold a Rohm once. I got $40 for a POS .22 revolver. Sold it to the guy working the door at a Goodman show at the Nashville Fairgrounds. He knew what it was because I asked him. LOL!
  23. Really? I didn't know he was out of the league this year? Well, I hope he has some gas left in the tank!
  24. We'll all sleep better knowing that....................
  25. The Titans were penalized 11 times for 161 yards. Don't know yet if that's a team record or not?
