  1. Yeah, thanks for the link. Glad I didn't have any high expectations for it.
  2. Anyone have any info? Is it something "new" or is it another Bushmaster with a Remington engraved lower? Thanks.
  3. I'm gonna check it out. Hopefully it wont be as lame as the GSKGS gun shows in Louisiana.
  4. Read every word...thanks for the link.
  5. Really think any Americans are giong to pick oranges for even minimum wage? I would suspect prices for everything are going to skyrocket. And you think independent contractors are terrible now, wait until there is no low ball competition.

Maybe since I've been out of high school a while and haven't had the opportunity to be enticed by peer pressure but,...... How do you let someone convince you to piss and or **** in a bottle to get high?
  7. Considering I only own 2 rifles, I chose 6.8SPC and 7.62x39mm. The Silver State Armory stuff is great. The AK is for the "zombies".
  8. I did that once w/ my first Glock. Wish I hadn't sold it.
  9. I never said I couldn't shoot it well. Personally I think the 40c's trigger is worse than the unaltered Glock's. Shooting the G27 does not feel like wrangling a greased piglet. The wide slide and slim (med) grip/frame of the 40c makes an unneccessary inconvienence for something I bet my life on. The Glock, much like the 17 and 32 I have been comfortable carrying, fits me better than the 40c. http://http://www.tngunowners.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=40&cat=4 Yes, the M&P sucks. VIVA el GLOCK!!!
  10. Air-weight snub nosed revolvers. Any caliber. Why does training with a firearm which you will defend your life, with less powerful ammunition than you will actually carry in it, for abbreviated range sessions because it is unpleasant to shoot. I wouldn't train with a wiffleball bat and expect to hit homers with a 30/oz Louisville Slugger in a baseball game. ...2nd nominee is the M&P 40c. Could have saved $499 +tax and bought the Glock 27 first.
  11. Itchin for a TPD AXR.

Any difference in "flash" from the Phantom and an A2?
  13. My Leupold 3-9x30mm VX-1 does the job for my Bushmaster 6.8mm on paper @ 50y. How it does in the field, who knows...?
  14. For me it was true. I didn't do well at all with Big Dot's past 5 yards. Switched them out with Mep's, and did my usual cloverleafing @ 10+ yards. Big Dot's just weren't for me. Same with the Ghost ring sights I had on a Glock 17.
  15. Welcome again from Madison Co.
  16. I perfer the AR15. For me, Pistol grip rifles are more comfortable to shoot than traditional stock rifles. Maybe because the M16/AR15 is all I know other than shooting other guys bolt action hunting rifles at the range. The good thing about the AR15 is with the flat top, optics and heavy barrel options you can make your sight picture comfortable to where you want it. The only other plinker I felt was insanely comfortable to shoot was this guy's PS90.
  17. *Yawn* With all the effort put into the 45GAP I was wondering why the heck Glock would screw themselves with a slim frame 45 ACP. The general public (i.e. ME) has been demanding a single stack 45ACP Glock favoring the 1911 style for years. Or even a compact 45ACP without the need for a stupid pinky extension. (something between the G21 and G30) Of all my handguns, I like my Glock 32 the most followed by my beloved Kimber CII. So, in closing: F' the G21SF, make my full size G36, and "All we are saying,.....Is give Glock a chance":)
  18. All I can think of is www.forthehunt.com Also known as Gunbroker.com. I've been eyeing some of the Ruger single actions, but the grip doesn't feel right to me. Still, like you said, a great conversation piece. ETA: there is a gun shop down hwy 51 I think it is Old South Trading Company in Dyersburg. They have a bunch of classic firearms for sale.
  19. 6.8x43mm Bushmaster XM15.

    My Black Rifle

Are you refferring to those found on rounds chambered, but not fired? Like just doing a function check? If so, those are supposedly normal. It's just the inertia from the firing pin. It freaked me out the first time I encountered it, but according to other internet commandos, it's normal. Sure wish I could find some 6.8mm snap caps.
  21. My son and I tried both of the Hatchie TWR spots and wasn't impressed at all. The river wasn't active and the lake had so many trees close up on the bank, it was aggravating trying to cast into the few clear spots, I'm just going to try somewhere else next time.
  22. I have the usual suspects: AR-15, Glocks, 1911, .357 revolver, .380, and my son's .22lr rifle and P-22.
  23. Thanks guys. My son and I will probably check out Lake Graham this weekend.
  24. Well, I just got my hunting and fishing permit and haven't the slightest idea where to go fishing. My 6 y/o son fishes way more than me when we were back in N.O. Anybody in West TN know any good spots around Jackson/Memphis? Also, anyone here a member of TN Sports Foundation? Seems like I need a sponsor to become a member.
