1. I went yesterday. I only saw 2 items that I was interested in, and they were priced exactly at MSRP. No thanks. Not into haggling like I used to be. Overall, a typical Jackson gunshow.   ETA: Still wanting $1200 for a DPMS .308 Sportical? Are we still in panic mode?
2. My first was a Keltec PF-9 way back in 2000. I sold it a few months later. It jammed at least twice every magazine.
3. They do. I went to the shop and saw the CNC equipment and lowers.
4. I would get the AK. The SIG was cool if you wanted to add a bunch of accessories to, but since Midwest Industries released their rail handguard system and numerous companies make M4 style buttstocks, there isn't much of an advantage of the SIG. AK's have more parts available than the SIG and is way less front heavy.   AK-47>SIG556R
5. I am looking to get a PSL (big AK) and Mosin barrel shortened and threaded for a suppressor. I could send it off, but rather get it done locally.   Anybody know someone I can do a walk in drop off and pick up around Jackson?
6. To be honest, all I wanted was sharks with lasers on their heads. But until then.....
7. So far I am 113 days since pending date on a SBR Form 1.
8. 7.62x39mm 7.62x54Rmm 5.56x45mm .45ACP .357MAG .38SPL 9mm .22lr
9. Scenery doesn't change much... unless you go to the bow, then there is no wheelwash.
10.
More info on CMT please...
They recently started making custom AR's. http://www.cmttac.com/ Pic Thread: (Not mine - But I did see one like this in person. It is absolutely beautiful.) 11. I got mine engraved at CMT in Lexington with laser.
12. I finished mine with Spar Urethane with sanding between each coat and a final buffing of 000 steel wool.
13. Future SBR.
14. What are you really accomplishing buy using a polymer lower? Does losing 7.2oz in the center of the weapon really going to make a difference in how it feels? Granted, I don't have any experience with polymer AR lowers, but it seems to me weight shaving be better appreciated towards the muzzle end. Wouldn't a lighter rear end make an AR even more unbalanced? An example I bought my son a RRA SS midlength upper. The 16" HBAR barrel made it almost impossible for him (11 years old) to shoot offhand because it was so front heavy. I sent it to ADCO to have the barrel under the handguards reprofiled to a gov't profile. 11oz off the barrel end made a huge difference.
15. I had 2 barrels done by LRP in Andersonville. Prices are affordable.
16. Why the love for suppressors? The reduction of muzzleflash and recoil for starters. I can't think of any reason sound reduction would be unfavorable with a firearm. Chicks dig it. Hunting with a suppressor is legal in Tennessee. Chicks dig it. It is legal. Chicks..... well you know. Plus it is a great conversation starter at the range, it offers a chance to expell negative stereotypes the media has engrained into public opinion about NFA weapons and they are just fun to shoot.
17. It may just be a pistol upper on a SBR registered lower. The stock needs a carbine buffer tube to work. He seems knowledgable about the NFA process so I doubt he would violate the law while recording it for youtube.
