  1. Are we ever going to get any? Sure, I could find a deer. Probably could shoot a deer. But then what? I don’t have a walk in cooler. I’m not butchering one covered in flies. It was summertime, now it’s hurricane season. Maybe it’ll improve next week.
  2. You’d be money ahead to sell it and buy a nice one.
  3. Am I gonna have to come shoot it??!!?
  4. ^^^Now there’s a man who knows how to catch fish!!!^^^
  5. Unless he found something wrong, those are the people who piss me off.
  6. I’m guessing he’d like to run it through Carfax to see if there are any reported accidents that have been repaired. I don’t know what harm someone could do with your VIN number. They could get it looking through your windshield at the WalMart parking lot.
  7. Easy fix, but that rifle about blew up! Could have been a barrel obstruction, bad ammo, or something else possibly. I’d want to find out why this happened before shooting it again.
  8. No idea. I’m sticking to the dollar cost averaging theory of investing. Buy a specific amount each month. Works for me!
  9. I doubt I’m alone in thinking we need to see pics!!!
  10. LOL! This drum was nearly too big to fit in my dip net. Sadly, not much else to report.
  11. Lol! Second from the bottom is an 1894 Marlin in 44 mag. I really like that rifle and don’t have any inclination to part with it. I can highly recommend one. There are many out there. You’ll run across one eventually.
  12. That is a prize indeed! Congratulations.
  13. Could a fella come and watch?
  14. I haven’t seen a primer there in well you get a year. Probably longer.
  15. Give slower, magnum pistol powders a try. Win296 or Alliant 2400 come to mind.
  16. Glad to hear the young man bagged a nice buck! I’ll bet he didn’t even feel the recoil. I always loved taking a kid on the juvenile deer hunt. They sure would get excited. I wish I could still get excited like that about anything. As far as the rifle, take the young man t a gun show and let him pick out what he likes. Nothing wrong with a well cared for used/vintage rifle.
  17. Nice buck and a beautiful man!
  18. When we took our carry permit class, a young lady next to me was shooting a model 60 with full house loads to qualify. She passed, barely, but she sure looked miserable. I felt sorry for her and also admired her tenacity.
  19. If we’re going that route, make mine an engraved Colt Single Action Army.
  20. Geiselle SSA-E is sure hard to beat.
  21. Ok. I’ll concede the L frame Smith is superior to the model 19 K frame. I’ll go further and say that purely from a shooting standpoint, I prefer the N frame Model 27 or 28. The K frame sure is easier to carry. A J frame, in my opinion, should have never been chambered in 357 Magnum.
  22. One of my kids would fall asleep before you made one round around a field on a tractor. You’d have to drug the other one to get him down.
  23. She sure liked riding a 4 wheeler! (We’re not telling her mom.)
  24. He died more than once this week according to what I’ve read. An interesting character for sure, and a musical legend.
