Oh my! That is a jewel indeed. Sorry about your friend.

As much as I adore the current Challengers and Rams, I don't see me buying any Chrysler product in the foreseeable future.

6.5 mm Italian vs 6.5 Jap vs ??
gregintenn replied to bucnball's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Although some have been rechambered to 257 Roberts, as far as I know, 6.5 Jap is your only option for a factory chambered rifle. I have some ammo and a sporterized type 38. Honestly, a box of ammunition is likely worth more than the rifle. If you're really itching to shoot it, however, here's a small selection in stock. http://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/category/categoryId/164? -
I have to do something very nice for this lady. Got any ideas?

That's what I thought. The one that told her to go buy a new one lives nearly in sight of her house. -

She has four kids. I'm afraid they'd feel like I was trying to insert myself where I don't belong if I went to her house and did things like that. I thought of that, but I'm not sure how it would be taken. The donation is one of the best ideas I've seen so far for the situation. Keep em coming. My wife will be at her daughter's house next weekend. Maybe she could feel the daughter out for ideas. -
An older widow lady I've known since childhood had a lawnmower that wouldn't crank. She called her son, and he told her to just go buy a new one. She did, and asked if anyone wanted to take the old one before she GAVE it to the dealership she bought it from. After trying to pay, and explaining there probably wasn't much wrong with it, I took it home. Sure enough, a new battery was all it needed. She knew the situation, and is quite wealthy. I don't really feel I've beat her out of anything, but I do feel I need to get her a gift card, or do something for her. She wouldn't sell it. She just wanted to give it away. It is a Dixon zero turn. It works great now. What could I do for this lady to show my appreciation? Donation to a charity in her honor? I'm stumped.

After 25 years with the perfect woman...

I thought polygamy was frowned upon here. -
You have to really crank that nut down tightly to keep it from slipping. Could you put your press in a vice or something?

I chose not to watch the video, because I'm not sure I can bring myself to utter the words "I agree with Obama".

Scope Mounts....Tapping into the Knowledge Base

I've never put loctite on a scope mount screw, and never had a loose one. Your mileage may vary. -
Neil Young is an talentless turd. The jury is still out on Jimmy Falon.

There's one right next to it. It was great.

Hence the isolator switch! I've been told it is possible for electricity to jump a main breaker in the off position. I don't understand how this could happen, but I do not want to be responsible for the injury or death of some poor guy trying to get my power back on. As of now, I run extension cords to each appliance I want to power in an outage.

I think I got everything to make one up at the local Ace Hardware. I haven't used it, as I've yet to find anyone willing to install an isolator switch. I need to look into the interlock plate tacops mentioned.

F&W Revolver Information?

Any markings on the holster? I'd like to see it as well. -
http://www.schifferbooks.com/a-collectors-guide-to-the-savage-99-rifle-and-its-predecessors-the-model-1895-and-1899-5926.html Mr. David Royal has been kind enough to step up and publish the ultimate 99 Savage collector's guide. If you are vaguely interested in them, wish to know everything there is to know about them, or just want to drool over the many great pictures, this is a very solid addition to your firearm library. I've no connection to the author, publisher, nor the book, other than I own a signed copy and highly recommend it.

What'd ya buy??!!??
-
I'll have to retract my earlier post after seeing this one. If you don't want them, I'd suggest you leave them be; or at least do some serious research as to their condition and value. Me? I'd buy them and put them up as long as they weren't broken, badly pitted, or bubba'ed. I've a pretty fair assortment of antique mouse guns, but none of the models you've listed.

Look for leaks, check the steering for excess play, and load the hydraulics to make sure they work properly. Hydraulic pumps and tires are among the most expensive things to replace on a tractor. I'd prefer a diesel. I'd also want either a shuttle shift, or a hydrostat drive.

Why the hell did you shoot a Les Paul??!!?
-
Why sure! If they are in good working condition and pique your interests, go for it!
