  1. Top this!
  2. DO you suppose that flame cutting around the breech plug area would allow for a linear split of the barrel as shown in the picture? I'd imagine a radial crack limited to the area where the flame cutting occurred. I am NOT a metalurgist. I'm just looking for other opinions.
  3. I'd like to catch Bart Gordon in a public restroom somewhere.....he wouldn't vote for the bill afterword!
  4. But they are our lobbiest a-holes.
  5. Someone here can tell you, but I'm drawing a blank right now. I think there is a company that puts out pretty comprehensive reloading guides that are caliber specific. In other words, you can buy a reloading guide that JUST covers the 9mm. They aren't buy a few dollars each, but I can't remember what they are called or who sells them.
  6. I have all the necessary components to put together a 14" 223 barrel, single shot Contender, with a youth stock. This was to be my young son's deer rifle until he grew into something else, until I learned he and I could both be charged with a felony. Stupid ain't a crime, but it ought to be! Why can't we require our law makers to pass some sort of competency test?
  7. They had the right to remain silent; they just lacked the ability.
  8. Don't overlook the used market. I bought a like new 70 Series Colt Gold Cup for $850. Kimbers don't hold a light to it.
  9. John, it doesn't take any talent. If you can follow directions, you'll have no problems. Look over this link and make a trip to the Tandy leather store, and you'll be a holster maker. JDLawhon.com - Holstermaking 101 I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have as well.
  10. The oal should be the same assuming similar bullet shapes. Think of it this way; the reason the oal is so crucial is to ensure reliable feeding in an auto. A consistant crimp is essential as well. Reloading for rifles and especially for revolvers is not as tedious.
  11. I've heard nothing buy good reports about the Rock Islands. I haven't fired one, but they look great. I intend to get one sometime.
  12. I don't recall any signs. I'll buy you a 12 pack of your choice it you shoot a dinosaur while you're there.
  13. I don't know about Cleveland, but the one's around Nashville are like a flea market, with an AC/DC concert crowd and a $10 cover charge.
  14. To me, Sandra Bullock is like Jamie Lee Curtis. Neither is really pretty, but both are ultra hot in an animal attraction sort of way.
  15. He tells me he isnt currently taking orders. I hope he'll notify us when he rectifies this situation.
  16. He may well be a member of the State of Tennessee Corrections now.
  17. Now I want one of Rob's knives!
  18. You do raise a valid point.
  19. Westwindmike is a good guy, and is selling some valuable handloading manuals in the classified section here. You'd do well to buy what you want from him as he has them attractively priced.
  20. Whoever said you should NEVER hit a woman has net seen that ad.
  21. I wonder if he cronographed that load.
  22. MidwayUSA - The page you were looking for could not be found...*** Midway has them.
  23. Have you checked with The Reloader's Bench in Mt. Juliet? That is pretty common brass.
  24. I'll nearly guarantee some moron put a 100 grains of some smokeless powder in it. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!! Those rifles WERE designed to shoot smokeless powder. They list approved loads on the paper you posted. Guns aren't idiot proof. I expected this to happen when I first read of Savage selling those muzzleloaders. I wish I'd have purchased one before they quit making them.
  25. Why?
