  1. Welcome to tgo!
  2. Gal I went to school with was in Memphis last new year’s eve. She had her car stolen from the hotel where she was staying. I think she had to rent a car to get back home.

  4. I reckon that 92 Winchester has me just tad envious as well. Well done, sir!
  5. Thanks! Yep, two needle saddle stitching.
  6. Looks like you were closer than I was!
  7. Dan musta been a doctor judging from that signature.
  8. No idea, but they sure seem to be priced fairly!
  9. It appears to be a 1911 variant of some flavor. What is it? I can’t seem to make out the script.
  10. Sounds like you need to go back to work so you can get a break. I thought we might get to see some woodworking projects.
  11. Thanks! What have you been up to lately?
  12. I’ve been carrying a similar trifold for several years now, and it looks just like it did when I made it. I expect t’ll outlast me.
  13. Thanks. The women seem to like the small “minimalist” wallets when wearing shorts and not carrying a purse. They don’t hold a lot, but don’t take up much space either.
  14. My grandfather was a hobbyist woodworker. I have several cars, airplanes, furniture, etc he made. These are priceless heirlooms to me. You can make the same for your children and grandchildren. Just do it!!!
  15. You garden guys gotta try this! In a skillet, sauté fish fillets in oil. Season with Tony Chachere Cajun seasoning. In another skillet, sauté in oil one cubed zucchini and 2 or 3 cubes yellow squash with a small chopped onion, also seasoned with Cajun seasoning. Prepare quick cook rice per instructions. Make bed of rice on plate, top with veggies and then fish. I just tried this on a whim, and it was delicious!!!
  16. I admire it, but do not have all the necessary tools. Figure out what you’d like to make and surf YouTube! Keep us updated with your progress. Like I said before; I admire it!
  17. No corn on the stalks. That might be the difference. Thanks.
  18. I’ll be danged if the corn isn’t starting to stand its self back up. Hopefully we can salvage at least some of it. I’ve seen it lean and straighten back up, but this was mostly laying flat on the ground. I’ve never seen that before.
  19. Wow! That seems like a deal!
  20. Welcome aboard, sir.
  21. We have a 7500 watt generator. It’ll run lights, the fridge, and freezers. It isn’t big enough to run the central unit though. I’m sure glad I hung on to some of our camping gear. It comes in handy from time to time. We have ninety something gallon water heater. It takes a while to run it out of hot water even when the electricity is off.
  22. Lights are back on. That’s cool!
  23. Ain’t a big deal. The house is still standing. I’m starting to miss electricity though. I drug out an old box of camping stuff earlier and made a pot of coffee on the grill.
  24. That was a mean storm last night. All our corn is on the ground.
