From our back deck.

If you want it, I’d say go for it! Where else are you gonna find one like it?

We had a cabin on top of a mountain. It is beautiful there. We had to go to a campground near Erwin for the whitewater rafting trip. There was what was proclaimed as a VW bus car show going on there. What it was was a hippie fest, complete with all that encompasses. Once we returned from rafting, the Yukon I rented to drive all of us there smelled all the world like pot on the inside. I hope that goes away before I return it, as we were told to not smoke in it. That whole festival was a sight to behold! I’d have stayed longer, but the kids and their women were with us, and the wife objected. Thanks again for the suggestions! That was a beautiful area, and I intend to return sometime when it is just me and the wife and we have more time to explore.

LOL! Many moons ago, on our first wedding anniversary, the bride and I ventured up to the Biltmore for a little getaway. I stopped at a decent looking hotel and inquired about reserving a room for a couple of nights. The desk clerk looked at me indignantly and said I’d be better served across the street at the Motel 6. He was probably right, but at the time, it pissed me off. 28 years later, I’m retired. I bet that arrogant SOB is still working.

Soup/chili are winter foods in my opinion.

A quality double layer belt will last for years…long after you get tired of looking at it. Stiffeners might help, but are not necessary in my opinion.

Where on earth do you keep uncovering these gems??!!??

Whatever we do, we mustn’t offend the burglars by doing anything to discourage their practice.

No sir. Not at this time. Thanks for asking though.

LOL! I think Jenner Blankenship, who started this company, was my grandma’s cousin.

I have to admit I’m really curious why you’d think there would be restrictions on firing a gun on your own property.
-
I would think so. Have a positive backstop and be respectful of your neighbors. I’m guessing you recently moved to Tennessee?

.380ACP bullet question…reloading.
gregintenn replied to Beltfed's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
A hollow base bullet if the same weight should give slightly lower pressures than a comparable flat base bullet of similar construction and shape, as the t would yield a slightly larger combustion chamber. However, in order to make weight, the hollow base bullet should be slightly longer, so it would have a larger bearing surface in the bore, so I expect these two factors would pretty much cancel each other out, however minuscule they were to begin with. That’s a fancy way of saying use the data you have and enjoy! -
So does this simply mean we are now officially caught up from the Covid fiasco, or does this foreshadow some tough economic times ahead?

My wife talked me into entering a holster I. The county fair. I guess they liked it.

I picked 3, 5 gallon buckets of purple hills today. We canned one and gave the other two away. I didn’t get half way through them. Anybody close to Macon County that would like some?
-
Is going on this week. If you’re bored and nearby, stop and get a dose of hillbilly magic. We pride ourselves on a very good fair for a small, backwater place.

Doesn’t look like it in those pics, but I bet Mr. Bill would agree. Honda makes some pretty good stuff!

Isn’t she the head of the ACLU or Teacher’s Union or some such nonsense?

Let’s not make this a political thread please. I’m interested in the business/financial impact this might cause the economy. I assume this is a very large trucking company. Will it’s void be immediately filled by its competitors? Will there be empty store shelves? Will it be bought out and “keep on trucking?” This stuff fascinates me for some unknown reason. @Erik88, I figure this might be in your wheelhouse.

The anti acid is a nice touch. Sounds like you’ve been busy.

You do have a point.

Oh man! That’ll get a dad’s blood pumping! It’s a miracle no one hit her afterward. I-40 is a dangerous place! I made a good portion of my living working on I-40 through the years. I could tell you stories you probably wouldn’t believe. Thank God she’s ok!!!

Mine looks like a board. Band aids remove too much hair upon removal. Think I’ll just stick to jeans.

Just heard on channel 5…24 year old Devin Slayton was the driver who hit and killed him.
