  1. As if I don't have enough crap in my pockets as it is now, this will come in very handy to me at work without running to a tool box. Thank you for the idea! I need to go to the garage now and dig through my hardware collection.  :)

    P238

I've had the Rosewood model for a few years and love it. Stays in my front pocket except at work. (Can't carry at work). It doesn't like Silver Bear ammo though, it just will not feed. Still have over 900 rds of it that I'm not sure what to do with yet. My 238 just doesn't like it.
  3. "Just doing my job" does not give them a free pass. They are adults and should know right from wrong. They are just as guilty as the A-holes in D.C.
  4.   The rifle is cool too.
  5. To keep myself from being banned from this board, I will keep my thoughts and emotions to myself.    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/10/08/pentagon-freezes-death-benefits-for-fallen-soldiers-families/
  6. When will the stupidity stop? Parents should be screaming at these so called educators. http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2013/10/07/long-island-middle-school-bans-footballs-other-recreational-items/
  7. Peanut butter Twix with chocolate milk has got to be the the greatest candy bar combo known to man. Problem is, I can rarely find Peanut butter Twix. Everyone always has that caramel crap in stock. Zero candy bars is a close second place, but theres something about peanut butter twix that draws me in and defeats my will power and logical thinking. What is your sweet tooth weakness?
  8. I've never owned a boat, but I've heard the saying, "The best day of your life is when you buy a boat, and the best day of your life is when you sell your boat". Looks like you have a great project to take pride in and plus it is something thats been in your family for many years. That makes it that much more special. I look forward to seeing how you progress with it.
  9. Soon it will be mandatory for all kids to wear helmets outside of their home......then it will be helmets 24/7 or face a fine. We are so screwed. I really feel bad for my 5 year old nephew and what he will have to deal with as a young adult, if we as a species makes it that long.
  10. I'm glad he is focused on the important things.
  11. I like the aerosol cheese in a can. Squirt type. Thats what the crackers are made for. I have to admit though, given a choice between that and trying to plink a cracker, I will take the 10/22 any day. I still love my canned cheese though.
  12. Ok, I just got my suppressor back from being rebuilt. The machine work on the baffles is very good. I used Winchester subsonic mentioned in this thread and Remington subsonic. Honestly, I really can't tell that much difference using a 10/22. Putting it on a Walther P22, I can tell that it is much better. I wish I had a decibel meter to measure before I sent it off and when I got it back using different ammo and host weapons. All said and done, I think it is good. If and when I can find different brands of subsonic, I will try them all out. The Winchester is the best so far, but I've only used that and Remington.    I'm not disappointed with the rebuild, but I'm honestly on the fence that it is worth the money depending on the host weapon. Again, I can tell a difference with the Walther. The 10/22, not so much.
  13. I caught an airplane on fire once right at the boarding gate. Black smoke pouring out of the auxiliary power unit. I blew the fire bottle and the temp went down on the gauge and then slowly started rising again. Only one fire bottle for the APU on that airplane. I forgot to close the fuel shutoff valve feeding it after it caught fire. So it kept burning. The gate agent asked me over the radio if they could board the aircraft and I told her "No, the airplane is on fire, I need the fire department at A8" She came back and I swear she said, "Does this mean we can't board?"   Fire department comes in with excitement, (they don't get to play fireman much outside of training), hose down the airplane, baggage belt loader, passengers bags, and me standing at the back of the aircraft. It was declared a crime scene until the NTSB came and got statements from me, the flight crew and everyone witness to this. Police officers actually guarded the aircraft and we were not allowed to take bags off or anything. For safety, the cop let me shutoff all the power to the plane. Needless to say, the flight did not go that day, but the passengers got a good story to tell everyone why their flight cancelled. I got to stay and change out the APU after the NTSB showed up. After that incident, I was nicknamed fireball and was told they were going to make me wear mittens so I couldn't flip switches and push buttons.   In my defense, that thing was going to catch on fire no matter who tried to start it next. I just happened to be "That guy" and I did not help the situation by not closing the fuel shutoff valve.
  14. I think a bill should be introduced that states, if you pass a law, you are bound to the fact that it applies to you. This crap of voting things in and being exempt from it is a recipe for eliteness. "Do as I say", "I know whats best for the common man" type attitude needs to go ASAP. You vote it, you live it. Ok, I'm back from my fantasy land now.
  15. I remember my first video game. Pong as others have mentioned. My father got it at Radio Shack and we had to hook it up to the UHF connections to make it work. It was so cool, the neighbors would come down to play. I also remember going with my parents to buy a new car. We left the lot with a brand new 77 Chevy Vega. I wish I had that car now. So does my father.
  16. I'm with the same company and received the same letter.
  17. I find it sad that men like this are pushed out and discarded because of politics. By a POTUS that has never served a day in uniform. I used to be proud of my military service and one day I realized that it is not about serving the country, protecting freedoms and all that crap. It is about serving and being a pawn to politicians and corporate interest. I never encourage young men and women to join the military. It simply is not what it is made out to be.
  18. I'm just hoping, waiting for .22LR to be plentiful again. I shoot it more than any other caliber......or I should say I used to shoot it.
  19. So you pass laws to "protect" us common folks when at the same time you are exempt from those laws because you can't implement time management in your own life. Nice.   http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/09/16/it-law-washington-state-lawmakers-dont-get-speeding-tickets/?intcmp=latestnews
  20. My EDC is the Maxpedition Falcon II.  Kind of pricey, but it is a great quality bag. I was worried it would be to small, but I can easily fit a full size notebook binder, laptop computer, charger, mouse, and personal hygiene items in it.
  21. I thought the dot was for when they get married, they scratch it off to see if they won a gas station.
  22. These guys are out of Nashville and put on a good show.    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YAnoikJaQM
  23. I've got 6 pack abs..... They are just way back in the fridge.

    Trade advice

I would take the Springfield in a heartbeat.
  25. Your not paranoid, I do the same thing. Black electrical tape. No one really wants to see what I'm doing when I'm using my laptop...
