When you drive a CMV, DOT can pull you over at any time for any or no reason at all and perform a roadside inspection. It isn’t like someone in their POV. Totally different rule set for CMVs. That mud flap is a violation in and of itself. That kind of thing is also generally a red flag that more violations are likely to be found because it’s the sort of thing that should be found and corrected during the legally mandated pre-trip inspection.

You’re right. The officer’s excessive use of force by sending in his K9 to attack a subject who was fully surrendered, non-resistant, and in the custody of another officer is far worse.
-
This is one of those instances where I think many folks have a problem with looking at, and analyzing things in an honest manner. They always want to find a singular person to blame for the entirety of the situation. The reality is the guy who ran and the k9 officer were both wrong in their actions. The actions of either is neither excused nor justified by the actions of the other. Each must be investigated, charged, and prosecuted where appropriate independently and in isolation of the other

White House press release from a meeting they held. Since senior leadership in LEAs are political positions and they oftentimes go on to seek positions of greater power, there is a name on this list of attendees that should be of specific interest to Tennesseans in general and Nashvillians in particular.

I think of Glock a lot like AC/DC. They have their lane and stay in it by putting out the same thing every couple of years with only the slightest variations. Is there really any innovation? Not for decades, but when you grab their latest release, you know exactly what you’re gonna get.
-
My biggest thing is that I’m glad to see another major manufacturer move into the chassis system. Sig and bespoke Glock clone manufacturers have been doing it long enough to show the viability. This is the direction I want to see widely adopted in the industry. It’s the completely logical way to do a polymer framed gun. Giving pistols AR levels of modularity would be amazing.

The review embargoes dropped, and I’ve seen a couple videos on it. I ain’t mad at it.

Nah. If Joe was shotgunning nose beers, he wouldn’t be mumbling and stumbling like the town drunk even though he doesn’t drink. The booger sugar is quite famous for putting quite a bit of pep in your step.

Covenant Shooting In Nashville. Did I Miss Something?
Chucktshoes replied to Moped's topic in General Chat
@Snavebaonce again I greatly appreciate your willingness to share information that you know with us. This is information I don’t think many of us have seen adequately explained, or even disseminated very much at all by the authorities. I believe a greater effort to be more forthcoming with these details would go along way towards quieting down some of the conspiracy theories that abound. Wouldn’t cure at all, we all know it wouldn’t. I do believe it would help though. The lack of openness and transparency about why certain information is not being publicly disseminated, combined with the legislative efforts from Governor Lee with regard to the special session, and the red flag law only compound the ideas and suspicions that nefarious action is afoot. so once again, I know it has to be difficult for you to engage with some of the speculation that goes on around the subject here, so you have my gratitude for your willingness to share what you know with the rest of us.- 29 replies

Maryland State Supreme Court on firearms ballistics matching
Chucktshoes replied to Chucktshoes's topic in General Chat
Hell, you don’t even have to take a file to it. Just shoot it enough and it’ll change on its own through wear. -
This is for use with the Brownell‘s BRN-180 uppers. It is a updated version of the old AR 18/180. it is a piston system, and therefore does not require a buffer tube. The rail on the rear allows you to install any one of the various pic rail attachment style braces or stocks. I have one and I am a fan of the platform.

I don’t do this very often at all, but swat is a personal friend of mine, and though he is new to the site, I can personally vouch for him as a legitimate and honest dude. -
Surefire X300 or X300V on my medium/full frame pistols for CC or overt LARPing. Subcompacts don’t have a light.

The Maryland Supreme Court has decided that firearms ballistic experts cannot give unqualified testimony regarding whether or not a particular bullet was fired from a particular gun because it’s just not scientifically possible. This is an excellent, excellent decision from a court striking at the junk science that comprises most of crime scene forensics.CSI may have been enjoyable television, but it’s also mostly science, fiction and fantasy. https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/marylands-highest-court-limits-ballistics-evidence-trials-100286757
