1. In the cab & toolbox right now..... 8x6 tarp wool blanket machete towing strap 2 ratchet straps 2 cans condensed milk* single shot, compact .22 rifle & 20rds ibuprofen wool hat & gloves 5 gallons of water 12v compressor & tire plugs jumper cables rope Eno hammock* towel flashlight 3 cigarette lighters short handled shovel * Not carried on purpose, just never taken out & it seemed like a good idea to leave 'em! Most of these things have been used to get me out of a self-inflicted 'scrape' at some point or other.

3. Doubletap. Sorry!
4. Well, I'm now it's proud & very happy owner! :) It's not perfect, there is a little putting on the cylinder in one spot, but the cylinder gap is perfect, lockup is solid & the trigger is unbelievable! I managed to talk him down $25 because of the pitting, but it really doesn't bother me in the least. I've run a few .38s through it & it shoots better than any other handgun I've shot (I'm not a pistol guy) & I'm probably as happy as I've ever been with a new toy! Sent outta my ass by flying monkeys.
5. It looks like I'm going to take a look at a Dan Wesson .357 tomorrow. From what little I can see in the pics I think it's a 15-2 & I think it's a 1977 going by the serial number. Is there anything particular with these that I should look out for? Seems liked it's priced well ($350) Does this sound about right? I know they're well known to be good shooters, but other than that, I know nothing about them. It's primarily going to be a range/woods-bumming gun, but it may replace my .380 on the night stand.
6. And beans & bread & canoes & milk & toys & gardening gear & furniture & tires & bicycles & pasta & meat & fruit & candy & custom birthday cakes & hunting licenses & barbecues & fishing tackle & baby things & pet things & guns & school stuff & jewelery & clothes & computers & baking goods & cheese & shoes & you can have your vehicle serviced while you shop & you can have your eyes checked & prescriptions filled......... If you ever move to a country WITHOUT Walmart, you'll understand how awesome all that actually is.
7. Shutupshutupshutupshutup! Sent outta my ass by flying monkeys.
8. As of now, I'm thinking maybe mid March, April maybe? Sent outta my ass by flying monkeys.
9. In the words of everyone on Archer...........sploosh.
10. The scope definitely stays. I'll look out for the Weavers. The current mount is a Marbles see-thru. It's actually a fantastic, solid mount, just a wee bit tall for me.
11. It really does! Give it a flick & it drops right open. I may have to replace that scope mount though. As nice add it is, it just has the scope about an inch too high for me to get a good, solid cheek-weld
12. Took it out for it's inaugural trip this morning. I could only get 50ish yds & it was blowing a gale, but so far, I'm really liking what I see. I LOVE the feel of the action, compared to all my other levers. Silky, glassy smooth, right up to that final 'click' where it locks up like a vault door.
13. After a lot of looking, I've finally got my hands on a 'Dream Rifle' I've wanted one for ages, but never been in a position to be able to buy or trade into a good condition Savage '99. I've seen & handled many, but they were never as good as I was led to believe, or crazy expensive. Every time Gregg posted a photo of his, I wept a little with envy. I now own my very own! It's a 1946 model 99EG in .300Savage & I couldn't be happier!
14. Manchester. I'm open to other suggestions, but Terry's isthe only range I know that would accommodate a good number of us on one line. I've never been to many others so please throw out some ideas!
15. Just spitballin' an idea..... Would anyone be up for a traditional-type meetup? I'm thinking nothing but sidelock muzzleloaders, single action revolvers & leverguns only. No black guns, no AKs, no Glocks. I'm thinking if there's enough interest, say, 20 people, we could monopolise Terry Walden's range for a day. Grill up some steaks, drink a few non-alcoholic sody pops & generally have a big old time, playing cowboy. What say y'all?
16. The ONLY charity I have anything to do with is St. Judes.
17. Why do blue cheese & yogurt have a 'use by' date? Who decided to put pineapple on a pizza? Why do I park on a driveway & drive on a parkway? Why do I have to be 'This' tall to ride at Disneyland, but I can be any width to get into a Popeye's?
18. Hmmmm..... Were it I, and a frugal, greedy bastard I be, I'd hunt around & buy 3 guns. A 16" Rossi in .357/.38 A 20" Rossi in .44 mag And a Marlin 336 in .35 or .30-30 With a little judicious hunting you can get that combo of coolness for sound a grand. I've got or had all 3 (+ several others I can think would fit the bill) all between $300 & $350
19. Ah, they'll bury him for a week, then dig him up & he'll be right back to work ;)
20. Go Dave! Them's some pretty deer. Merry Christmas! :)
21.
I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even know how big this has gotten. When you wretch at the thought of social media and spend much of your time roaming the forest in search of juicy morsels worth the price of bullet and the butter to sauté it in, you don't leave yourself much time to take the opinions of the world. Phil Robertson is the embodiment of being in the world but not OF the world.
I reckon he knows EXACTLY how big this has become. You don't become a multi-millionaire business owner by NOT being aware of all social media. The 'character' he plays on the show is exactly that: A character. Sent outta my ass by flying monkeys.
22. Whoa, whoa, whoa.......So you're telling me that right wing, Christian ministers are AGAINST the gays??? Well, I don't know about y'all, but I for one am floored by this! :O
23. Now where does a body go about finding a facemask like that? :D Beautiful buck man!
24. That's AWESOME!!
