  1. Welcome in. Good to see spouses get involved.
  2. Yeah, I went out this morning about 10. No waiting, went right in. Started to pick up a little by about 11, but I think the rain slowed attendance. I got around pretty well with out problems.    Did see one thing that caused me a monetary HMMMM. Two guys walked in with several boxes marked "Sig 400," pulled out a marker and priced them at 2000.   I have no other comment. I'll leave that to you.
  3. Welcome.
  4. Go Granny! Go Granny Go!  With apologies to the Beach Boys for stealing a line.   That's great. I just hope there are no reprisals from the terrified attempted-robbers.    Man, they ran like scared little kids! And that scene with them stacking up at the door. That's priceless.
  5. Does the poster of a sale ad in the classifieds have the ability to mark it Sold. When I try using topic moderation or edit, I'm told I'm not authorized to perform this function. I was able to lock the thread, but it still shows For Sale rather than Sold.
  6. Spoiler Alert!! Someone will...........
  7. Kudos to the speaker. A very good interview. Presented himself very well as a knowledgeable person and gun owner. I'd hope to come off as well should I be in that position.   And I must say, Steve Hayslip gained a few points with me for his off-camera attitude. I'm very surprised. I wonder where he is on this?
  8. And as it's nothing but a pep rally for O, I doubt getting many, if any, known Pro-Gun people besides the politicos in side.
  9. I agree with you, wjh2657.  I have a Taurus Tracker in 44 Mag and much prefer it with the 44spl loads.  Sold my 629 a few years ago and it absolutly was a creampuff with the lighter ss spl as well.   The only drawback to either is the cost of shooting. And these days the 44 special is about even, and in some cases I've seen, higher than the magnum loads.
  10.   Was that the SS Taurus 450? I had one of those for a while. It had a 2" ported barrel and was a really good looking little pistol. I bought it on impulse because I liked its looks and feel.   Then I shot it.   Actually I shot it 5 times. After the 2nd round, I stooped, shook my head, and decided to finish off the cyclinder.    Then I sold it. Thing was brutal. Even with the porting, the muzzle had a little flip, and the resulting blowback would be very noticably felt.   It did however, produce a beautiful little fireball when shot.   I'm not putting the gun or the round down in any way, just for me; that particular combination was a little too much...Actually, a lot too much.   P.S. A little story on that gun. I sold it to a buddy who wanted it as a back-up when he was a midstate sherriff's deputy. The next week he asked to sell it back to me. I kept it about a week and sold it again to another friend in the bodyshop business. He wanted a gun to keep in his shop desk. I got it back again after a month. Sold it a 3rd time to b/s tech and there it stayed...until it was stolen from his truck one night.

Not too likely to happen. But you never know...I really like the looks of the 226 Stainless on the Classifieds.
  12.   Probably a better time to go for crowd avoidance. Might miss some of the deals though. :stunned:
  13. Sorry. Wrong comment for this.
  14.   Hey, it's still a great story!
  15. I knew you were a comedian, but this is one of the better ones.
  16.   Yes I figured the "blasphemy" comment wouldn't be long in coming.   I'm almost ashamed....nah not really.
  17. Actually, after looking at the video, looks like she vote more like 6-8 times. Just using other peoples names. Nothing wrong with that now, is there?   Did you watch the short video of Dr. Benjamin Carson speaking at the CDC(?) Prayer breakfast? Definitely some good speaking. And O's impassive little face as the Dr. spoke.
  18. Surely of no concern. Who could possibly imagine anything like Egypt and Iran agreeing on a purchase of "surplus" weaponry just lying around not being used to attack say... Israel?
  19.   Maybe not for you. I don't shoot half of what I have. May actually add some more to my selling this week. A few that have been in the safe for almost 2 years and not taken out. :stunned:
  20. Informative. Impressive. Thought Provoking. Chilling.
  21. Very Nice. I've passed on several of them. I think I have too many 1911 as it is. But that kinda thinking has been subject to change.
  22. Love the P7. One of my many gun regrets not getting one.
  23.   I would be. That just infuriates me and I don't have to live there.
  24. Welcome to Tennesse and your new home.
  25. There is no reason for ANY person to go to California.
