Welcome to Tn and TGO. Had to look up Walland. Didn't know where it was. I'm in Nashville, about 200 miles away, but there's quite a large and I think active bunch of TGO'ers in your neck of the woods.

As with piercedan, I saw the Rhino vid and enjoyed it. And have seen several others of yours, all so far have been interesting and informative. I guess the first PMR vid just went over my head. But I have one and have a different reaction and opinion of it.

Personal opinion. Lame attempt at humor.

CNN POLL ABOUT OBAMA"S GUN BAN'S
hipower replied to plank white's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I didn't see much of a change after voting, and I waited a few minutes. BTW. Love your avatar. That's a really good movie. I almost crapped my pants when I heard Slim Whitman used as a wapon on the Martians. -
I have lust in heart looking at that pic.

Mass Violence - This Guy has the Solution!
hipower replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Yep, been seeing references to him frequently . Makes a lot of sense. And that's rare and refreshing to watch a discourse that isn't ranting, raving and screaming. -
Thanks for the posting. Sent to a couple of buddies and one semi-friend lib. I wonder how he will take it.

gnmwilliams is very right. One of my ex co-workers has 3. Great dogs, but he was very active with them--running, hiking, constantly doing somethig with them. Then the 2 children came along and less time to spend and exercise them Became a little harder to handle, but he's still got them. His first 3 children he says.

Taurus PT 140 for a Metro Arms Classic 45. Then the Metro for a Converted Saiga AK and 500 rounds. Even swaps all the way thru. All within 6 days. But I think the OP is gonna win this one.

Yep, mcurrier beat me to the puch with it. Just watched her speaking again the other day A very intelligent young lady. She lost both parents and was able to explain or try to explain, that carry restictions and gun-free zones don't work. As well as point out that it's the idiot, criminal, mentally ill person, or just plain bad guy that killed her parents and other. The tool used didn't jump and do it all alone. But some are just too blind, dumb, or don't care to see the difference.

While I do realize this is a free market economy, I equate this to the beany baby, barbie, and for us old fart comic guys, the action figure craze; I'm not advocating a planned marketplace or social economics. I just question the ethics of buying retail and doubling the price to the end consumer for the purpose of gouging as an individual, not as a brick and mortar store. Yes, I do understand basic economics, and I have voiced opinions on "price" vs percieved "worth" in a shortage market, or in any market. Aw, the heck with it. I just typed about a page on my viewpoint and some of the awnsers. While thinking and looking back at it, I realize it's all a matter of percption and ethics, or morality if you will. And no amount of verbage is going to change one or the others opinion. Some of us percieve it to be slightly less than ethical, others as an economics supply and demand issue. I guess it's just that simple...perception

Smith fan. So I'd go with the 5903. but I'll almost agree with Caster. Live the 3913, but love the 4013 TSW. Would really like to find another in 9 that was reasonably priced.

My experiences as well. 2 guns and no issues. But things are a lot crazy right now. Might happen to me next time. t

Had a doc's appointement this morning at Skyline and went across the street to Walmart afterwards, just hoping a I might get lucky and find some 22 there. No luck of course, but I was close and thought I'd try. But while I was there, the young man beside me started a conversation. Asking what I was looking for. I didn't think too much about it and said I was looking for some 22, maybe even some 9 or 45. He then proceded to tell me he was looking as well, hoping to find some more for the weekend. Going shooting? No. He's looking for it to resell. Well....after a few seconds looking into his eyes I asked if he was going to take it to Hendersonville this weekend. Yes, he says. So I believe I stunned him then. I looked him right in the eyes and said "So you're the reason the rest of us can't find anything. You're buying it and feeding this mess by trying to make a profit from it He looked shocked that I'd said that. So I continued. "You will be selling it at Hendersonville tomorrow?" He said yes rather quietly. I said thanks. "I'll be sure and tell my buddies to avoid you."" Over reaction? I don't think so. If I can resist trying to resell mags at inflated prices, or jack up rifle prices about retail and beyond; I'm not ashamed to say that I'm offended by someone doing that with ammo to me and others. So if you see a early 20-something young man abou t5'10" and puxhing 300 lbs' stop in and give him your money. Or your thanks.

I sincerely hope and wish it so. On a similar note, I was in a local Wallyworld Tuesday and happened upon some WWB 45. As I was paying for them, a young man passing by saw them and we struck up a conversation. He was probably mid 20s and actually could string 3 words together without a F/S/MF; and was intelligently talking with me about his guns. Ended up letting him have some of the 45. It was a pleasure to see a young man not a flaming lib and intelligent enough to know the difference between his butt and Obama.

I reeeaally don't want to know how you know that.

Good SHTF Survival Fiction Books
hipower replied to plank white's topic in Survival and Preparedness
Yes, Heinlein wrote many good and several great novels. And although I enjoyed it, not nearly so high on my favorites list. -
Yes, in a sad, sad way it is.

That certainly has been evident from the actions of the Lib/Dems the last few years.

Love it!!! The perfect awnser.

Mexican politicos should mind their own damn business. When that cesspool cleans itself up and regains some sembelance of a free country not run by and supported by drug cartels; I might be willing to listen to opinions and advice from someone there.
