Do you own the building? Leasing It? Do you have insurance and liability coverage for the event? Would you need local permits to do this? Just a few questions that come to mind immediately. And just my opinion here, not trying to be insulting. Just offering a little input. If you should put it all together; I think your projected vendor fee is a little high for an unknown quantity that a new show and promoter would be. And table fees as well? I've helped out with several shows and that's not usually done. As for the admission fee, 5 dollars would probably get you a lot of traffic. But after you find out what you need to get it running; by all means post about it. Im usually up for a gun show.

If you're near a Gander Muntain store, check out their belts. I bought a black, 1 1/2'' , solid leather belt from them. It was a little pricey at 39 dollars, but needing a larger size than a normal person(bought the 48-50 size so I can have a longer belt to go thru jeans loops), and dangit was made in China. But works very well, I don't have the rollover problem I've had with other belts. And my belt slide holsters work very well with it. JMO

Yes. But just so all this "Twilight'' crap will die out. If I never see another Elvis-pompadored vampire I won't mind.

Well...at least they're not as goofy looking as the "toe shoes" -
DaveTn, my attempt at a humorus reply at was by no means meant to disrespect you, your intentions, or Dolomite; hence the emoticans following the comment. It was in regard to the indictment of the men in East Tn and their actions. And a comment of the very broad interpretation of their powers by the BATFE in respect to the buying and selling of personal firearms. And though it seems that this case is pretty much clearcut that the charges are legally valid, some wide loops are seen in it. So in regard to this, I took a little leway with Dolomite's offer to help you, since he didn't specify a source for that help. No offense intended.

Danny, you already know my choice is the RO, but I do like the Harrison sights maybe a little more than the standard sights.

Dolodmite, after reading the post and links about the four East Tn guys chargedby the BATFE, I'm not sure I'd offer to help find anything for anyone anymore. After reading the copy of the indictment, it almost seems that could be interpreted as "trafficing" in guns by their rules. And beware of trading and selling your guns...lest we be thought to be fraudulently operating a business. I tried to check some of the listed dates shown, trying to see if that matched times of gun shows, but didn't have any luck with it. I kinda thought it might be that and not just individual sales on the listed dates. But it sure will be worth following this case, as in the worst case scenerio, it has real potential to devestate individaul transactions. But maybe that's the plan...force all transactions thru FFLs. Make it difficult to impossible to sell your private property.

I'm sure she did. I would've as well. -
Like Smith wheel guns. Own several. Love shooting them. LIke the 29/629. But is the 6" going to be a carry gun for you? That's what I think you need to really look at if you don't have anything else as primary carry. How long will it take to get something else? Can you get this friend to hold it for you for a while? Give him a partial payment if the two of you are are close enough that each trust the other? So many variables here. I'd say it really boils down to how badly do you want it? And are you willing to use it for carry? Or is that an issue? Just want it for house/range gun? Don't mean to be confusing. I don't know that this is helping. But I did have a Lew Horton 629 for quite a while. Great gun, just didn't shoot it much so I sold it. Kinda regret that, but as much as I liked it, it was just not a "practical" gun for me. But if it's what you want and like...go for it.

Naw...can't be. Anybody with an attitude like that must be, at least mentally, as old as Methesulah. He's been around here forever.

Cleaning out a garage, and painting the ceiling in it. Fans didn't help.

Me neither! I 've seen enough broken bones to last me.

I'm not up on the technical aspects, but I suspect hornett22 is right on this. My understanding is that it hinges on your personal, physical location as the buyer at point of purchase. If you are not a resident of the state in which the purchase is made, that you would be breaking the law. But that's my take, hopefully one of our legal friends here will chime in on this.

It's all been said. It's just georgeous!!

Really hardy little suckers, that's for sure.

And how it landed? I've seen squirrels jump out of trees and off my roof, to the distance of about 25/30 feet; from about the same height. Spalt on the ground , then run off. Gotta wonder if that hurts/injures them.

You know, that seems, at least to me, that most women that have this type of work done always seem to end up looking fake and artificial after this. I've always preferred natural looks to the"man-made perfection" that comes from surgerical transformations. Not having seen the "after" look, I still think Catherine Bell was one of the most beautiful women in the world, with a kind of girl-next-door appeal to her. I saw a Maxim magazine she did and was just blown away by here beauty. But that's just my opininon.

After lusting over Miss Bell for many years, I gave up watching her. What's with the "messed up her face" comment?
