Is the book (50 Shades of Grey) too dangerous for an old fart and his mate? I figure some of the guys here are maybe capable of some action. If TMF is cautioning...I guess I shoud worry.

Somebody call The Rabbi! Any talk of reacharounds should include him!

Caster, ol' buddy, after all the ribbing...I must confess to having a Sub2000 with Beretta mag setup in my safe; where it's been for over a year. Just haven't taken it out. Always seem to find something else I'd rather shoot when the range mood comes over me. Maybe next time...
-
Very nice. Aren't you afraid that it will eclipse the Beretta love in yor life?
-
Looks Great! Congrats on the new pistola and a great wife.
-
Sarcasm??? What's that? Why Caster is the most straight-talking, level-headed, even-keeled, and kind-hearted person who posts here. Just ask him.
-
See. That's your reason right there.
-
Just trying to help. :pleased:

Oh yes you do. Repeat after me. I need a Sub2000...I need a Sub2000...I need a Sub2000...See, all the stress is gone. Just like magic. Just decide now on 9 or 40...Glock or Beretta....9 or 40....Glock or Beretta....

Craig, once again, I tip my hat to your tastes and ingenuity. Looks truly fabulous.

From my own experiences in trying to get a title for a car that was registered in another state, I'd suggest walking away from this deal. Back in the late 70's, I was offerred the chance to purchase a car from a co-worker at a great price, and was told he'd lost the title during his move from Michigan, and the car hadn't been registered or tagged in Tennessee. Thinking this was not going to be a problem, I went to Tn DMV and explained what I wanted to do. First the current/orginal owner had to aaply for a lost title in Michigan, get it mailed here, register the car here, then sell it to me and I'd get it re-titled. Sounds simple, don't it? When I kept getting stalled by the co-worker, I took the vin and Mi tag number and started calling Michigan about it. Short version of the tale...I got calls from the dealership that orginally sold the car, Chrysler Credit Corp., a Michigan collection agency trying to track down the car, and finally, a visit from a local Chrysler Credit rep, trying to find it. Why? The "owner" had reported the car stolen to everyone and moved here with it. So when I started this whole process....I got caught up in the middle. Because I wanted a "steal" on a slightly damaged car. I had foolishly given a couple hundred as a down payment and had the car parked on the grounds where I worked so I could control it til all was done and I'd pay it off. I had a reciept and partially filled out bill of sale when I was visited about it. Meanwhile the seller skipped town when I told him about the calls and the visit at my workplace. I was very lucky not to get further involved, like possession of stolen property, etc. Luckily I had office co-workers to document my story and verify that the orginal owner had worked there and that they knew about the dealings. I tend to ask more questions these days, especially if it's too good a deal.

Ony if the said zombie is "clean." ( Oblique reference to the want a clean shooting buddy thread.)

Congratulations ...you old fart ! We are coming up on an official 24. How do they put up with us for so long?

As a big fan of BBC's Top Gear, I'd vote for the Focus ST. Not that I wouldn't like a Boss Mustang, but having seen reports on some of the British Focus models; I think that they would be a screaming blast to drive.

As with most of us, I'm always looking at the next "perfect" little carry gun. For me, this isn't it. For me, the first criteria is hold, feel and fit in the hand, and this one doesn't pass for me. I just don't care for the way it fits and feels in the hand, and not really a fan of the looks either. I've seen a few in several shops in the Nashville area, but couldn't comment on the sales numbers. But as always, this is just my opinion, and yours will vary.

Owned? Let's see.... AMT Auto Ordnance Astra Automag Beretta Browning Charles Daly Charter Colt CZ Detonics FN Glock Heritage Arms High-Standard Hi-Point IMI/IWI H&K Khar Keltec Kimber Llama Metro Arms Remington Remington Rand Rock Island Ruger Tanfoglio Taurus S&W Sig Springfield Steyr Walther...and probably a few others I can't recall. What have I kept? That's another story. I've begun to realize I can't keep them all; so now it's a much smaller list.

I've picked up several K-frame trade-ins over the last few years and have had absolutely no problems with any of them. I got a rough looking SS Model 66 that had the smoothest trigger I've ever felt on a revolver. It initally looked like warmed over crap, but after a little cleaning, it looks like a lightly carried gun. It's very tight and has rifiling that looks as good as any new gun I've bought. It's really hard to go wrong with one of these. I keep looking as they appear, never know when the next really great one will show up.

Very sharp. Makes me wish I hadn't sold mine a couple years ago. Shot it yet?
-
In a word...no. I love good sf. Too bad this wasn't one.
-
What a shame. A legend in the automotive world is lost. Where would all us gearheads be without his great contibutions to Ford, the Mustang, and the racing world in general? RIP to The Speedracer.

Can't say that I've had that problem. I typically shoot handguns at 7/10/15 yard intervals and find that in most cases I'm pretty much getting 3" groups at 7 and 10 yards. At 15, I tend to widen, but The little Smith is as accurate as I am and better. I never claimed to be a marksman. But seriously, no, I haven't had any issues I couldn't attribute to my skills or lack thereof.

A one-year warranty definity is not fun, but that's at the manufacturers' discrection. However, the more I read on this thread, the more I question the On Target operation and handling of the situation. Doesn't leave me really wanting to go there.
-
Sighting channel. It's supposed to make target acquisition easier and faster. Just like the older Colt and A&W revolvers. And the New Colt Agent as well sues the system. Personally, I don't get real excited by it, but there are others who will swear it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Very nice. I have a blued 3913 that doesn't get much range time but it is a keeper.
