  1. Don't even hesitate. Snap that puppy up! And I must agree with Steelharp and disagree with Ishel...with todays' markets and pricing, a G30 of any flavor with 2 mags rarely goes for not less than 475+ around here, and the best price for mags unless a tremendous sale is found, is about 20-22+ on up to 32+ for retail. And from my personal experience, unless you got tiny baby hands or grizzley mits, the difference in the grips isn't easily discernable. And for me, the grip covers just don't work. If you could get it for closer the the 500 mark, that would be a really, really great bargain; but don't lose it over the other 50. Worst case I'd say getting 4 extra mags is worth at least 12.50 each. But that's just my very own opinion. And I don't care for Glocks, I only have a 22, 23, 24, 30, and 2x19. And getting closer to a 21 and a 17.
  2. I think the whole building has bars.
  3. I think so, but I didn't reread the whole thread. But regardless of that, both are good movies.
  4. Also the name Old Hickory in the thread title is a slight clue.

    New Gen4 G21

Good comments guys. Been thinking about a G21 to add to the Glock family at home and this kinda reinforces my desire to check them out more closely. Initially I didn't want anthing larger than my G30, and am still rather partial to it, but the thought of a Gen4 21 or a 21SF as a house gun is very appealing to me.
  6. I don't like it...I love it! This is a true American Patriot, a man who values his country, his heritage of American made products, and will back up his principles with actions. Congratulations and thanks to Mr. George Duke. Your grandfather would be very proud of you.
  7. Nope. Non-public purchase. Wife might see.
  8. Was told about a new gun shop yesterday, so I went for a visit. The Nashville Gun Company in the Old Hickory area. Going East on Old Hickory Blvd, about 3/4 of a mile past the crappy looking OHB Bridge; which needs to be weeded and trimmed. It actually has greenery on the spires of the towers now. Anyway, I digress, on the right side in the little building that has been a pharamacy, beer joint and smoke shop, and everything else over the last few years; and just before the turnoff to the old Dupont buildings. So I stopped in to look it over. It's a kinda small shop, run by Reese Ervin, and he's still getting set up. But the young man took the time to talk to me and show me some of his inventory. Very personalable, friendly, and seems quite knowledgeable on the new and past weaponry. Showed me the new Sig P938, yes that's 938, as he has one(?) in stock. It looks and feels pretty nice and was tempting, but really not for me. Has a really good selection of long guns well displayed on the walls and will have, when he gets them all out, a pretty good inventory of handguns. Don't know about his hours of operation as I didn't ask, but I'd assume pretty much like others in the area, but you can call at 615-294-5806 (yes I got his phone number as I was impressed) to find out. I believe he does some on-line sales on some of the auctions, and Reese tells me he does travel to some guns shows. Do you think I'm promoting him? Well you'd be right. I'm a customer. I did make a purchase while there, but that's another story. But do try and check him and the shop out. I think you'll like the experience.
  9. Do as Raoul says, but I have to vote Glock. The Baretta just isn't for me because of the size and weight factors.

    Longmire

Ouch!! That hurts. I like those shows. What's better than watching greedy people capitalizing on the misfortunes of others and make money off it? And aint it amazing how many of those lockers have such high dollar items in them that are simply left behind?
  11. Good call on both counts.
  12. Got one of the TRS-25 models in a gun buy and have to say it seems quite sturdy. Not getting a whole lot of rough treatment on an AR15-22 though.

Thanks for reminding me, I forgot about it. Will hope I can catch it in the On Demand section.
  14. Not exactly my style, but you did a great job on it. What are the horizontal slots on the slide for?
  15. The jerk is very lucky he wasn't shot or beaten to death for real.
  16. Very interesting music.
  17. Naw, I think you're beginning to get the scarcasm down.
  18. Yes, Yes, and Yes. And let us not forget the "Credit wipeout, free credit report idocy."
  19. I'm all for humor, but when do you guys expect to start it....... :squint:
  20. Ruger 22s and S&W revolvers seem to kick my desires up several notches these days. Not to say that many other things don't as well.
  21. Yeah, he does seem to have a problem with that. But I do wish you'd stop posting pics of the 8045, I still regret selling mine.
  22. If you've been around here very long, you know graycrait speaks the truth. If you don't know of him...check his posts. He is our ss guru, bar none. That said, I vote for Rugers as well. Love the 22/45 versions. And as you've heard, prices are all over the board on them. Just look and take your pick. Good hunting.
  23. Visited several times. Finally bought a Browning Prosteel last year. Fair price. Excellent service on the delivery and setup.
  24. Hey, David. Any ammo this time around? That is, full complete rounds, not just components. Might try to slide in after the yard sale hunt tomorrow with the wife.
  25. Keep this up and you're going to make me try one. Then My Rugers and Smith 17/18/k48 won't like it.
