    New Sig TacOps-TB

All I can say is that you have good taste in guns and knives. I've acquired a couple of Sigs lately. A Platinum Elite 1911 and Dark Elite 220R. Haven't run anything downrange yet. Hope to sometime this week. On the can situation, If all goes well, I have plans for another 22 can and a 9mm next. But as I said, sure would like to try one on a Sig.

From what little I know about them, it seems to be a pretty good brand. Nice Tanto too, like that as well.

Very Nice. Sure would like a can for a couple of my 1911s. Maybe a little more down the line.
  4. I had not seen it til I read the post. Now it's aggravating me. Thanks a lot.
  5. Wonderful thing to do, sir. Train her well in shooting and safety and give her an appreciation for family history and heritage.
  6. Great buy you got there. One of my many regrets isi that I didn't jump on a set I saw last year in the 'Boro. Someone smarter than me got it.
  7. Yes, the DW guns are really sweet. One of my many regrets is that I didn't jump on a set I saw last year. Very foolish move.
  8. What's that old line about the size of the gun being compensation for other SHORTCOMINGS?
  9. Excellent trade. You may need a bipod to shoot it, but a good trade nonetheless.
  10. I'm with Raoul, 56FordGuy, and the others. Get younger, stronger, professionals to do it. You'll feel a lot better afterward, I guarantee it. Got my first one in my mid 30's. It was about 700 lbs. Two of us cocky guys moved it out of a shop, onto a pickup truck, off the truck, up 4 front steps, thru an entrance door, 2 rooms into a small bedroom. A few years later, bought a 4' by 6' hazmat cabinet. About 400 lbs with all the shelves. Got it off a commercial 12' box truck by myself with a 1 1/2 piece of laminated plywood and a standard rubber-wheeled 2-wheel standup handtruck. Lucky I didn't break my neck, legs, arms, etc. That was the last time I moved one around by myself other than using a small jack and pry bar to put furniture dollys under one to move it from one side of the room to the other and put on block and wood base. That was at about 50. I've gotten a whole lot smarter since then, I don't try to move more than my body weight, and that's enough these days; I get a pro to do it. It don't hurt the old man anymore. And when I got my last safe this past fall....at about 850 lbs.....I didn't hesitate, or rather my wife didn't hesitate to tell me exactly what she would do if I was "stupid, ignorant, and foolish enough" to try. It was worth the cost. I just told where I wanted it and got the heck outta the way. Then spent the evening filling and placing all the goodies inside.
  11. Well....at least it's better than the last effort to "update" the lever action.
  12. Howdy there, fella. Welcome to God's counrty.
  13. Man, I must have been lucky. I bought a used Mosquito last year and it ran pretty well. Didn't like the winchester very much, but ate CCi and Federales easily. I got the chance to trade it on a Ruger MK III Hunter and let it go. Sounds like a good move on my part.
  14. Welcome to the real world. How is it there post-Arnold?
  15. Yeah, incuding themselves sooner or later.
  16. You know, that just makes the whole situation worse. Means there's more clumsy, inept crooks.
  17. Agree, CZs are some fine weapons. I'm just different I guess, the only one I've ever liked enough to keep was the Rami 2075 compact. The larger models just don'e seem to fit me well.
  18. How very sad that someone placed in a position of trust should violate it, especially in such a clumsy fashion and for so little gain, when he has so much to lose from it.
  19. I've shot my buddy's LDA and found it quite enjoyable. Still prefer my Springfield and Sigs over it though. I did pretty much hack him off as I shot it better than he did. He'd just spent several 100 on extras--sights, trigger job, and new grips and couldn't do any better than before. Told him it's the guy behind the gun that really matters more. He really didn't appreciate that.
  20. My local regions also posted. I had a talk with my rep there, 2 of them actually, and we discussed the issue. His feelings were pretty much against the posting. And didn't make an issue of carry if discreet in doing so while inside.
  21. FWIW, I got one of the blued versions of this gun with the bullet markings several years ago from a customer on my route that was behind in his bill. I took it for payment. Was in excellent shape. Replaced the springs and it works fine. Gave it to my father-in-law to go with his Thompson.
  22. I would lean more toward this. As a nation, on the whole, I would say the majority have become too dependant upon the around-the-block mentality. That's where everything you need and want is available just a short drive away. If and when, and I'm more likely to say when, this country begins to really unravel, the average person is going to be in a world of hurt. Even a large percentage of the so-called prepared. JMO
  23. That's what I thought. Sure it's not a Para?
  24. Very nice.
