I really hate to speak ill of anyone, but...ever wonder why there are so many negative comments on Mr. Uselton? Could it be that people are more perceptive than he gives them credit for?

So I could cause confusion if I told someone about it. Actually because I got a great price on it and I prefer 45acp. What's not to like about a round weighing 185 to 230 grains coming out of a big honking muzzle, moving at approximately 900fps+/-, and hitting like a small freight train.?

This "free" healthcare is going to bankrupt us--both financially and morally. quote] Unfortunately, I believe you are right on all counts. Pres. Obama has shown a very marked and consistant disregard for the rule of law concerning just about everything. He is president, therefore, whatever he says is just going to be done. Regardless of the consequenses.

Garufa, I don't think there are many others here in my situatiom, but I could be wrong. When I singed up, there was a list of subjects to choose as an avatar, and for me, who knows next to nothing about life in the cyber world, it was a simple matter to pick one. Well now...I find myself in need of help to pick something and transfer it to here. What I know about these things is just about enough to sing in here and send a messsge or two. So maybe your idea is a good one til I get some help from a 6-year old who can teach me. I miss my eagle and flag.

Yes, I went in last week and was surprised at the very small inventory. Lots of opens space in the cases. Kinda have the hots for a 9mm 1911. Thankfully, there wasn't one in the store at the time. So I saved myself a bunch of money to spend this week on a Sig 220 instead. I'm pretty sure I made the right choice.

PackinMama's got some good advice there. I gave my mom a Taurus 38 Ultralite loaded with the Federals. She only shot it to "practice" a few times, but it worked for her.

What Mike said. Walmart usually has the best prices on 22 around, unless you buy by the brick online. Then you have to watch the shipping, that can eat up your savings. A little higher priced, but I like the CCI.

That's about right there, nicemac. I've been to several stores lately and have to agree. As faf as G&L, definitely the Greenbriar store.

Actually this deal was done today--2/09/12. But will wait for a while. I know it's probably just me.

How do you leave feedback now? When I fill in the required blanks, I keep getting a notice getting a notice that " A required field is blank." My guess is that it's to do with the 3rd box, the one asking for a link to the sale thread. Is this the case? And how does an illiterate old dinosaur do this please? Thanks.

Looks great on it, Eric. Nothing looks quite as good as a good set of rich, wood grips on a blued gun!

For all you old fellas. My first car was a 1962 Ford Galaxy 500 XL 4-door. Had the 390 police engine and suspension. The car was actually ordered by a then local Sheriff's Dept and when it came in, the county refused it because it had carpets and chrome trim. They wouldn't pay the extra money. My Dad heard about it and went to the local Ford dealer and bought it. He drove it for 8 years and I got it when I started my senior year in high school. By todays' standards, it was a big land yacht. Plenty of power and about 18mpg. Of course gas was 25-28 cents a gallon then. It was a blast. Powerful, fun to drive, Huge back seat. But that's another story. I really miss that car.

Still getting used to the new style and features. Looks good, but I'm an old guy who has trouble with changes, so I got a couple of questions. I apologize if I've missed the solution here. 1 Does the avatar picture cross over? 2 Will the last itrader stats also transfer? 3What are the pips under the avatar box. Thanks. Appreciate all your work here. I know it must be a labor of love, but dude...this is a lot of labor.

Great Buy! Saw some for sale in the 'boro this weekend. You don't want to know the price.

From any angle, that view is one of the most awesome in this sometimes sorry little world.

Yeah, it is. Just all over again. Anyway, I'm here! Much to the dismay of all. Guess I'll have to learn how to fill in an avatar since I don't seem to find any generics to choose from. -

Romney on Guns: In His Own Words
hipower replied to FJCrusing's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Sadly, I agree with this. My wife and I have talked about this, and although we are now down to the latest in a seemingly endless series of "the best of the worst choices' secenerio again; Romney may just be exactly that. The one with the best possible chance. -
Romney on Guns: In His Own Words

I, for one, agree. The truly intelligent people today seem to have gotten so disgusted with the whole political process that they refuse to become involved. And those that do want to involve themselves are finding that they are not connected with the power structure and have very little possibility of getting elected to a position cable of real change. Until, and unless, a grassroots movement solidifies around a single issue or candidate that is so polarizing as to garner support from all spectrums of people and politics, I fear the worst for us. -
Definitly agree with Dolomite. I have owned bot the Sigma 40 and the SD40 and still have the SD. The later production Sigma was pretty much trouble free and was very reliabe and easy tos shoot. I had John Wall at Eastside ask to play with my Sigma as he wanted to see what he could do to improve the trigger. Got it back in a few days after he'd done his magic on it and it was noticably improved. And although I did trade the Sigma later, I kind regret it, as it was a very good range gun and well worth the price I gave for it. The SD40, as said above, seems to feel and hold better, and for me at least had a marginally better trigger than the Sigma. All in all, I didn't have a problem with either on and wouldn't hesitate to buy another at the right price.

I don't think bleach has been seen in them for a long time.
