  1. I'd almost put money on the bet that a large percentage of current and ex-road jockeys have some knowledge of their use. Not speaking from any kind of personal knowledge or experience.
  2. That did have lot to do with it, but the building in general has some issues. Did you by chance happen to visit the facilities? That little room without lights for the last three shows that I 've been to there.
  3. Chet Atkins proclaimed Tommy Emmanuel a CGP. A Certified Guitar Player. An unofficial award attesting that Chet considered him one of the best. Maybe Sungha should be in that listing also.
  4. Oh yeah, forgot to complement you on the camera work.

    Awesome deal

That's quite a good price for the SD Package.
  6. I set my wifes house gun for approximately 25 feet fo point of aim/impact. I felt that was about max distance she'd shoot inside.
  7. Yeah, I know of one Swiss Army Pocketknife that disappeared. Probably more instances. It was a crowd there, but a strange crowd. I saw a couple I believe escaped from the Deliverance Family Tree.
  8. OK, old eyes decieving me. See what happens as that age number goes up.
  9. Great guns there, jimmy. Treasure them.
  10. Well said.
  11. Right on all counts for all the preceding posts. It's a rare occasion I try for popular concert tickets any more, just for those reasons.
  12. BigPoppa, my heartfelt condolences for your loss. God bless you and your family. It's been almost 21 years since I lost mine and I still miss him. My Dad, as an ex 101st Airborne, would have liked the choice you made. I chose the Royal Scots Dragoons version of Amazing Grace for our opening of the service. As the opening notes on the pipes played, you could almost hear hearts beating thru the silence that followed. Although a beloved and well-known hymn, in a small community like this one, it sure garnered some surprised looks. But the choice was appropriate for Dad, and I know he liked it. As I'm sure yours did as well.
  13. Isn't that .79 each? Not per case.
  14. OOOOhhh! A shiney one. I like it. I have a blue model I picked up locally last fall that's real sweet. Very nice trigger on the 2nd and 3rd generation Smith's. Almost makes me want a couple others to go with it. Good shooting in the first video. And the second. Maybe use both hands though, the little 39 can be a little snappy and shift around on you with a one-handed grip.
  15. Just curious if anyone else here went. My wife and I did. Our 3rd one. Went the first time because she wanted to, then found I liked it. Tonight's performance was pretty good I thought. Good strong vocals from the women, really good chorus backing them, and the musicans were superb. Also had a really good bagpiper with them tonight.
  16. . Now that I can relate to. I used to work for an automotive parts company. When I came in from my route, I've seen some really interesting people. Some of whom would make the People of Walmart look normal. And some of the wild things people do..... I was working the door at one of the company Christmas parties when a couple of guys tried to come thru the door carrying the beer keg out. At another one, we had a couple of trucks set up displaying some aftermarket accessories and a trio of partiers brought in a "lady" from the streetwalkers association, got in the truck, locked the doors and proceeded to utilize her unique services and abilities with an audience assembled. It was a crewcab truck, btw, so it wasn't too crowded.
  17. I dug mine out of the safe tonight. You're right. I'd forgotten how awkward the slide is to grasp and pull. I might just have to take tihis to M'boro this weekend.
  18. I would have thought at Gander you'd see many interesting things. Retail is like the Disney world of real life.
  19. I'd agree with you on that, but very sadly for me, I have younger family members who are really into Metal Music and some of it's derivities. I just don't understand. They were brought up better than that.
  20. You must work in a much better place than I ever did. No one ever brought anything that interesting in to show me.
  21. I love it, but what's new about that? I think I've lived my whole life that way. I wonder if that's why the wife's always in a bad mood?
  22. Time will tell on it, but I'll say this. Polymer guns have proven themselves time and time again in size and calibers we previouly didn't think possible. Could be another one we slowly come to covet.
  23. I think you just read my mind. And I had just told my wife I did'n have anthing else in mind to buy.
  24. I agree with your take on it. I go a step further in the stockpiling of ammo though. The concesus these days seems to be that the latest high velocity, large diameter hp round is about the only thing to buy. I won't disagree that this type of ammo doesn't have its place, and I have a few rounds of the type myself. But I tend to go more for quantity on a good proven reliable ammo, with a mix of fmj and hp rounds. Not dissing the high end ammo, but for me, when the cost factor becomes 20/25 rounds for the cost of 100 rounds of a good ammo. I got to go with it. My example. I shoot a lot of 45 and like a good 200gr jhp or a 230, but will it do the job any less well than a 185gr hp round I bought suggested for target and range use? JMO
