  1. The AR I can handle. The FN...well as they say, different strokes and all that. But you did achieve you goal of being more colorful.
  2. Several words come to mind here--responsibility, safety, training, and judgement. Just an encapsulation of what's reqiured of us all to carry a firearm.

    They do exist

I've seen 2 of them. Both were being walked around gun shows in November and December. Much too high a price asked for them. They look interesting. Fit and finish on the one i got to hold seemed pretty good. Don't think I'd be afraid to buy one at a reasonable price when things cool down on them. But for Shug, glad you got one. Let us know how it operates.
  4. Gotta watch it tomorrow on the ON Demand setup. My wife Doesn't like the zombie stuff. So I better get off this thread before the spoilers start!
  5. Really? I thought it was from my advanced age and creeping senility.
  6. Can't add any criticsms or cammentary on your abilities. I'll just say this...I think for a first-timer with an AR platform, iron sights, and those ranges...that's pretty darn good.
  7. Woolery looks like he could almost pass for a zombie right now. Maybe he's a spy.
  8. Didn't say it was his decision. Could be those "Unknown Big Interest Backers" we always hear about pulling those little puppet strings.
  9. You know, I really should be offended by that remark. But for the life of me I can't think of why.

    Taurus M380

I've run into several small pistols with more non-traditional calibers lately. Several of the Taurus 9mm revolvers and I believe it was a Charter chambered in 40 cal. Not sure I want to try that one out though. The little Taurus 9 revolver is enough for me. Good size for a bug, manageable felt recoil, and best of all...it's a 9. Same caliber as many of my other guns.
  11. One would hope the "young and politically un-conscious" would see the results of their blind adoration and turn around. But, I still hear the devotion in some of them. Especially the young neighbors here. I took a lot of flack for my yard signs in the last few years, most loudly when I placed signs opposing the liberal candidates and agendas. There's one who has the back of his cars plastered with all the lib propaganda and I Love O signs that it will hold. At the very least, he will suffer when he tries to seel or trade the car. Those things are really difficult to get off paint and urathane bumpers.
  12. Classic misdirection tactic. Get the populus focused a completely differnt issue, then attack another thru subtrufuge and smokescreens.
  13. Your work most definitely paid off. It looks much better. Really puts me in mind of one of the Argentine Compact Hipower clones. In fact, I believe I might use yours as a pattern for what I'd like to do with my HP clone.
  14. Very nice looking. Almost makes me want to run out and get one.
  15. Nice boat anchor. I had one for several years, although not your ghetto model. They can be a lot of fun, if you don't get a hernia trying to carry it around.
  16. Hello. I'm the police. I'm here to take the report on your....insert proper crime here.... How can I help you today?
  17. Thanks for the help, when I get awake and alert, I'll try it.
  18. Very nice. I like it. Thanks for sharing this.
  19. That sums up my feelings as well.
  20. Yes, it's a small shop and the selection is pretty thin. But some of the nicest people you'd care to meet and talk with. And the range is, according to what I was told, is still being worked on, but is, as Trekbike mentioned, longer then G&L in H'ville. 47 or 49 feet I believe is what I was told. Range fee I thought was 15, maybe it was 16, anyway, that includes one target. I have been going to H'ville but just don't like the short range as much, so I usually will go on to Greenbriar. So the fuel and time costs more than make up for the difference in range fee for me. Guess it just depends on your location, what you want, and how much time you got to spend. If I want to shoot, I'll probably go there. If I want to look at more guns, I'll go to Greenbriar. JMO
  21. That's why the mods get paid such huge salaries. They know everything!
  22. Hey, it works for me. But maybe it's just taking pity on me and working, because I can't do anything else yet.
  23. I'm not going to comment on it's looks. There were enough harsh words on it when you started this project. The important question is...How does it shoot?
  24. Thanks for the link. Now those Brushed grips look really great. That's more my choice.
