  1. And you really think a little thing like Supreme court decision would stop the governmental agencies from tracking you for the slightest of reasons? Like Too much cash, too many guns, an irate neighbor saying your are a suspicous type that should be watched. Or any other...like posting comments on a known trouble-makers hangout like this.
  2. Interesting looking stoks. I'd like to see one on an AR myself. And it should really make an unusual looking SBR Capbyrd. If you do start this project, please keep us in the loop.
  3. I grined. I chuckled. I laughed.
  4. Looks like a quality product. I may have to look into it. That is if there's no surcharge for over 40.
  5. Steel, you got ripped! No 2-tone grips! Gripe about that and demand arefund or replacement. Can't you just imagine what Rab would asy to that? Anyway the insert does look pretty good. And when you decide to sell at a 50% loss, swim and I can fight over who gets it. On another note, thoroughly enjoyed the conversation last night. I'll check out the situation on my lower and see where we stand. Thanks.
  6. Very nice. I hope mine looks that good as it's completed.
  7. Have you shot the Operator yet? I traded for one about 3 years ago. It has become one of my favorite 1911 pistols. Springfield sure makes some great ones!
  8. I just read the above link and article/review and it seems very impressive. Steelharp seems to have made a very good buy. Especially if it came from where I think it did. I saw one last week there I believe and was a little interested in it. I guess I'll have to look closer next time.
  9. Congratulations. The nervousness and wierd feeling will pass as you get accustomed to carrying. Just don't get complacent about it. Be aware that you are armed and dress and act appropiately for what you carry. Most people will never know. My wife saw me take my gun off my belt slide one night and if I had been wearing it while we were out. She didn't know. If a wife can't tell, unless you flaunt it, no one else will either.
  10. I've got 2 10 rounders with mine, and one 14. The 10's are great. the 14 stinks. FTF's about every 3/4 rounds. I finally gave up on it and threw it in the junk box. Hope you have better luck than I did.
  11. Congratulations on the Rami. I got one about2 years ago and love it. When I shoot it anyway. I'll have to dig it out of the safe now that you've reminded me of it. I've been on the 1911 and Ruger 22 kick so long, I seem to have forgotten there are other guns I can go to.
  12. As with most locations of late, the first few show there were pretty good. Very crowded with walkers and the usual assortment of products, both gun and non-gun. With so many shows lately, it will be a tossup. Some will probably like it, some won't. I'm going. May take a sell or trade item. Depending on your distance from Murfreesboro, how long it's been since you've been to a show, etc. Who knows. In the end, you just have to decide if you want to hang out with some guns...or stay home.
  13. You are definitely one sick puppy! I think I like it.
  14. Revolvers can be some of the most fun guns to shoot. JMHO. Can also be some of the most accurate, at least for me. I consider myself average to good as far as accuracy goes with most handguns, usually shoot autos. But give me a 4 to 6 inch barrel revolver and my skill level really goes up. Good long sight radius, smooth s/a trigger, and I have more fun than ever. Put a SW Model 10/64/66 or a great little K22 Combat Masterpiece and I think I'm the reincarnation of Bill Hickock. Of course that only lasts til I check my target. But my point is that I really enjoy shootin' wheel guns.
  15. Not the first time its been said in many different ways, but first time in this thread.... and this is the kind of crap that makes me use the so-called Tennessee-an paper for drop cloths and trashcan liners. And no, I don't suscribe. The local delivery person must get paid by drop off count. There's one in the drive almost every day.
  16. We thought you'd like it. I rarely hear complaints about the DW guns. Not saying it doesn't happen, just I haven't run across any.
  17. Michael Moore Rosie O'Donnel Add execs behind all the stupid, degrading, and infantile commercials being done these days--WEEEE pig, any Sonic add, Wendys, Krystal, and especially the Arby's Good Mood Food jerk.
  18. Nice to see that at least some of the younger people take in by "O's" promises have opened their eyes and realized just where he's leading us. Maybe there is hope for change after all.
  19. Been looking at them off and on for a while. Really nice litte rifles. I think I want a 22 mag version actually. I've got a couple of 22 lr guns I'll have to get rid of first. I guess I'll end up with one sooner or later, but I just keep getting sidetracked by all the handguns.
  20. 250 and doesn't included the top rail. Hmmmm. Proud of our product, aren't we? I believe I'll pass.
  21. Congratulations. Good looking little pistol. I have a weakness for the 3 and 4 in barrel 45. Just might be the cause of going looking for one.
  22. Nice Springer. Loaded Operator? Added a couple hours later--Yeah I should read your post, not just look at the pics. Guess I wasn't quite awake yet.
  23. Sounds real good to me as well. Glad you got the chance today.
  24. Looks good. Can I babysit it for you?

    M&P9 vs 1911

Absolutely correct. No other criteria means as much. If you don't like, you sure won't carry and shoot it. My wife likes my 1911's, but has some wrist and forearm issues, so she can't handle the weight to shoot. But it doesn't keep her from admiring them.
