  1. Hate to post the same thing....but that really does look great. And I've realllllllly hated brown in all it's shades.

    ROFL

  3. Probably not me. Broke from the last trip to Eastside.
  4. This says a lot. Weight. Consistant trigger. Any questions? BTW, I own both Glocks and Sigs. I personally like them both, but as several have mentioned, the bulk and weight of the Sig does tend to tell on me after a few hours.

    M&P 9 vs. H&K P30?

For me, the M&P 9 would be the choice. Haven't fired the P30, but having shot the M&P, I prefer the feel of it over the P30. JMO:)
  6. Since this thread has been resurected, I'll add another comment. I still like my PT145...but have acquired a G30 since last post. I really like shooting it and find that I may be just a bit more accurate with the G30 than the PT145. But still haven't had any problems with either gun. Both shoot well and reliably. I really don't have a preference, but...the Taurus does seem just a bit more comfortable in my hands.

    para p10.40

A friend of mine has a Para P12-45. Very good firearm. Accurate and easy to shoot. Has given no problems that I know of. Worst I can say about it is that it's a little wide with a doubles stack 45 mag. Is the P10 a single or double stack version? 40 can be a little brisk to shoot for some, but the stainless frame should help with the recoil on it. Does the size fit your hand? Is it comfortable to hold and shoot for you? With 300 rounds of ammo, figure roughly 80 bucks, and in the shape you say...I'd say it's a fair price, moreso for him than you, but not really out of line. If it suits you...offer 600 and be prepared to go up if you really want it. Good luck.
  8. Ditto on the Remington ammo. For some reason, the 15-22's just don't seem to like them. Eats CCI and Winchester just fine.

    FMK 9mm ?

Never seen one, but it does look interesting. And at that price point, it wouldn't break most of us to try it. And...it looks much better than a Hipoint.
  10. I'm not sure I understand the question. But John will ask what you want done, inspect your gun and give you a price for the work. He's always treated me fairly and will resolve any issues you might have. ( I've never had any problems.)

    Facebook

I can live without "Facebook" or "liking" anything on it or associated with it. I'm old school...I prefer to like things and people face to face.
  12. I have used John Wall at Eastside Gun Shop. Through, knowledgeable, and reasonable. That says it all. Just my opinion.
  13. Yeah, I feel like Ned Beatty will pop up any second.
  14. Gatorade G2 Fruit Punch. Addicted to the stuff over the last few years. It was one of the few thing s that tasted at all good during chemo.
  15. Seems like any movement of a handgun or long gun really is bad for most of us. I think that the regret of losing a firearm from any cause is universal to us. I know that I usually won't part with a gun unless it's for a better one, and even then the withdrawal from the loss is painful. Not being a smartass really, I just don't like to sell my guns. I do but, I miss them later.
  16. EMP's must be on everyone's mind right now. Looked at one while at the Armory last weekend. Couldn't decide between the G10 grips and the stock crossed cannon grips. So I wimped out and left. But I do see one in my future and I'm sure it won't be long.
  17. Don't be afraid...Come into the light. Taurus is good.
  18. Words fail me.
  19. The above comments pretty much cover things. If you're just trying out guns to find your likes and dislikes of caliber and size' I wouldn't really worry about anything but a good dependable ammo to run thru each to get a feel for the weapon. WWB from Wally World, UMC, PMC, or just about any brand should suffice for your testing. Full metal jacket and hardball ammo; no fancy jhp's or hot load SD for this type of shooting is necessary.
  20. And my personal preference has always been a holster without a thumb break.
  21. If you look like your avatar...that's a darn good possibility.
  22. Thanks for the posting. I thought I knew my cars better than I did on the quiz. Scored 81.

    But which 1911 ????

That Metro Arms Amigo in stainless is call out to me. Think I'll go visit my buddies at Eastside in Nashville and see about one. Thanks for putting the bug on me for another 1911.
  24. What if you're new to the NFA dealings, and have already submitted paperwork for a suppressor. Is it a great issue to change the ownership to a trust at this poin?
