    best .22 handgun

Actually forgot to make my choice for the poll. Ruger has a high quaility, low price you can't beat. Brownings are wonderful. But my handsdown favorite is the High Standard Olympic that my father shot with. A close second is my K22 Masterpiece.

Agree. Liked it so much I bought a used one last summer. Toying with the idea of a can for it.
  3. Recently bought one for my wife since she wanted a "cowboy gun". As it turns out, she didn't like it. So now I got another 22. I was impressed with it although I really like swing out cyclinders more.
  4. #1--Very good. Not where I thought it was going. #2--It snuck up on me...stamp collector...hmmmm...oh....OHH...Very Good.
  5. As with the other guys, many thanks for this posting. It will be of great value to me personally, as I don't know crap about an AR platform. And welcome back. I've missed your wit and knowledge
  6. Real close matchup on the two. I'll get them out later and give you a better assesment later.
  7. Well, I happen to own both the xd9sc and the 2075 Rami. I bought the xd a little over two years ago and have put maybe 1000 rounds thru it. Really like it. Good feel and great accuracy for a short barrel. Carries well and shoots easily. But with other purchase since then, I have relagated it to bedside status with a CTC grip and rail light. The CZ, I've had about 6 months and is also great to shoot and as accurate as the xd. It is somewhat heavier with the steel frame version, but still fits in a belt side or iwb easily. About the same round count thru it as well. Personally I like the CZ a little better than the xd. No great reason for it. It just feels good in my hand. Either would make a fine choice as primary gun. But my edc of late has been a Glock 30. Can't go wrong with 10 rounds of 45.

    whats it worth

Isn't that insane? Just goes to prove most of us are totally nuts. I recently paid almost 460 for a 2.5 model 66. Just had to have it .
  9. Not having any experience with this method, I need some basic information. Field strip as usual and place metal parts in cleaner? Whole firearm? Assembled? Disassembled? I appreciate any knowledge you have and would like to post. Thanks.
  10. Thanks for the information. I'll check it out. I definitely fit in that catagory.
  11. If there's not a sig line in that somewhere, you're not paying attention.
  12. Could be just the start of a massive strike back effort by all the wildlife. They probably read Orwell's Animal Farm and decided to start resisting.

    whats it worth

I bought my 66 about two years ago at Eastside Gun for about 380 OTD. Very clean and tight. Excellent trigger and showed almost no signs fo use or wear. It has been and excellent gun and a real pleasure to shoot.
  14. I have three Hipowers...a parkerized Belgian, a blue Belgian El Capitan with tangent sights, and a beautiful blue Belgian FN in .40. All are great. And the slight added weight of the 40 does help with the added power and recoil. Wouldn't, at this time, let any of them go. And as Jamie says, I don't think they're all that difficult to strip and clean. I've had more problems reassembling Taurus Millimiums than the Hipowers.
  15. The long awnser is that since I've been thinking of a supressed 22, I'll probably just wait and find the best choice for my pocket and the suppressor unit and buy a good dedicated 22. And thanks to Lester, now I'm back to thinking about a 9mm or a 38 super PT1911. Just too many toys and not enough money. Anyway, thanks to all for the input.

  19. Thinking about going if I'm able; I have a session with my Urologist scheduled that week to try and blast a kidney stone. Where do we come by and say "Hello"?
  20. PHFFFFT!!! That's cruel man.
  21. Simply because it's been too long since being seen...it's time for the return of ...THE KENTUCKY CONAN!!!
  22. Probably the best response yet.
  23. Totally off the wall, padded cell, straightjacketed. sedated, removed from society for our safety , looneytunes. In other words, pretty much as normal as the rest of us. I wouldn't even think of telling some of mine. Brother...you're fine.
  24. With a list that includes goatpecker--you're put off by cockroaches??? I knew you were a little off. Anyone who'd buy a Taurus is nuts. Oh...wait..that's me. Never mind.
  25. Neat game I lke it.
