Blackstone's St. Charles Porter is among the best porters I've ever had. Very good stuff. It has won several awards. Another nod for Jackalope as well. Here's a pretty exhaustive list: http://nashvillebreweries.com/ Note: Big River is now called Rock Bottom.

How much do you want to bet that within the next 12 months there will be a successful vote to raise their own pay as well?

WOW! Sotomayor the lone voice of reason in 4th Amendment case
LagerHead replied to LagerHead's topic in General Chat
I think this is the takeaway from this case. -
I don't think that your grandmother could ever have asked for any more than for a family that loves her to be there with her at the end. She was truly blessed in that regard. I pray for your family during this difficult time.

Look at all the little holes that look kind of like the holes shotgun pellets would make, except with a larger spread.

Guilty verdict in German exchange student's death
LagerHead replied to waynesan's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The theft wasn't the issue. The fact that this guy basically ambushed the victims was. -
Can't blame you. Most people will wait if there is an apology and an explanation. But when you continually stonewall someone that is just bad form.

WOW! Sotomayor the lone voice of reason in 4th Amendment case

The devil you know, right? -
In what is sure to be a shock to conservatives and libertarians alike, Supreme Court justice Sonia Sotomayor is the lone voice of reason in a case involving 4the Amendment rights. In short, a guy was stopped for having a busted tail light in NC which, at the time, was not an offense as you were required to only have a single "stop lamp." The stop resulted in a search which resulted in a drug bust. The majority basically said that the search was legal because it was "reasonable" for an officer to not know such an incredibly simple piece of the law. What a crock! http://reason.com/blog/2014/12/15/supreme-court-sides-with-police-in-4th-a

Sheesh, you don't half ass anything, do you? Where's the surgery being done? I can't recommend Centennial enough if you have any choice in the matter. Here's hoping for 1,001 successes.

Hey, at least we have the Predators. Go Preds.

Hell yea! I have never been real sure on the legality of this sort of thing, but given that I wouldn't end up in the klink along with them, I would definitely do the same.

No offense, but you're not the standard setter for the entire gun-carrying community. Some people don't deem it necessary to take a life if they believe they can avoid it. If they're successful, how is that a bad thing? You shoot to stop the threat, not to kill. If the person dies, well then that's their fault for putting themselves in a life-ending situation.

While I agree that guilty folks should die in prison, there have been plenty of cases of people being released 15, 20, or even more years after they were imprisoned because they were actually proven innocent. Not just acquitted, but proven that they absolutely did not commit the crime. They would all be dead if we didn't allow for the appeals process. A better alternative would be to not imprison people for victimless crimes, which, I would wager would save us a lot more money.

That's gotta feel good. All the joy, none of the pain! But seriously, congrats to your family. Nothing like a little bundle of joy to brighten up the season.

Depending on what your budget is, check the offerings by TDK. They make a "Trek" line that includes the A33/A34 and the A360, which I have. Both versions are somewhat water resistant, with the A360 being slightly more so. Both produce pretty nice sound, but the A360 has the added benefit of having a USB port you can use to charge your phone while you are playing it. It also produces sound in all directions, hence the name. I use the A360 at home to listen to music all day while working. Absolutely love it. The 360 is in the middle.

MacKeeper. It's pretty much a do everything program: Antivirus, backup, etc. It can be a resource hog at times, though.

I guarantee you there are people out there that would say yes to this.

Does he tell his teachers not be embarrassed, that mastication is perfectly natural and that everybody does it?

That's a nice rifle. Anxiously awaiting a range report.

It is pretty sad. I've never felt the need to brag about my time as a Space Shuttle Door Gunner as part of Task Force 320 (twice as elite as TF160), Operational Detachment Whiskey. Just having served is reward enough. Our motto was, "I could tell you about our missions, but BANG, you're dead."

Let me get this to David and Mac and we will get this corrected. Stand by.

It's too bad they couldn't get past the first sentence without lying. Hell, they couldn't get four words in. In 2010, there were 11,078 murders committed with guns in the U.S. Hardly the "[t]ens of thousands" that CNN is portraying. You know, I'm honestly surprised that CNN got that wrong. Just kidding.

If the Ranger Regiment wanted him to have a second chin, they would have issued him one, dammit.

"D'oh, that's a big gun. Is that a 45 cal?"
LagerHead replied to suspiciousmind's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
No, just the ones who claim that anything less is for sissies. (I carry a .45, btw. But I don't want to get shot with even a .22.)
