  1. Learn something new every day! Thanks for the info. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Actually I did not know that, thanks. I guess it takes a hot load to work that brick of a bolt! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I know that feeling all too well. Its exactly why I havent shot this one yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Finally got my hands on a Garand. I have actually had this rifle for several months, just now posting it. I have wanted one for as long as I can remember! As far as I can tell, the receiver's SN dates it to a 1953. Unfortunately it is not a matching numbers rifle, I still thoroughly enjoy it however. I still have yet to shoot it. Overall it seems like it will be a great shooter though, the bore is in excellent shape. I do not plan on restoring or refinishing the rifle in any way. I love the way it looks with all its little character marks and imperfections. Just thought I'd share one of my current favorites in the safe with you guys!
  5. Trust, paper form. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks. It was a long wait but worth it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Well after an almost 13 month wait here she is. All I have is a very lackluster cell phone pic, but it gets the point across Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Just wanted to chime in on my form 1 wait. I (foolishly) submitted my form 1 for my Scorpion immediately following the rush last year due to the law change in July. It was a paper form, not an e-file. I went over a year wait at the first of the month, and am still here twiddling my thumbs. Curiosity got the best of me, so I called about a week ago and was told it was still pending!! I'm really hoping it wont be too much longer....
  9. Thanks all. I wish I could say I shoot groups like that all the time, but that is definitely not the case. I have got to give a shout out to a man named Conan at Big Daddys Outdoors in Bridgeport, AL. He is the guy over the archery department there and the man goes way above and beyond to help educate and advise his customers. He spent roughly two hours with me one day setting up my bow for me, and happily answering any questions I had (which was a lot). If any of you are close enough, or ever in the area, drop in and meet him and check out his awesome archery department. Also, if you have any pictures handy, lets see some of your guys' archery set ups! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Haven't posted in a little while (I still lurk) so I thought Id contribute to the forum. This year I decided to pick a bow back up for the first time in about 18-ish years. The last time I hunted with a bow I was 13, Im 31 now. Earlier this year I picked up a Mathews z7 extreme, circa 2011 I believe. Its a great shooting bow. I recently picked up half dozen Victory Rip Elites to shoot as wheel. These arrows are lightning quick! We chrono'd them with my bow at 285fps with 100 grain field points., not to shabby for an "old" 60# bow! Cant wait for September to roll around. Here are a couple pics for your guys' enjoyment. This is the best group Ive shot so far with my set up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I love my Saiga 12. What forearm/hand guard set is that on the catamount?
  12. Ive been trying to find a CZ75 PCR compact, to no avail. Actually everywhere Ive been is low on CZ's period. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I have "friends" that live in Portland. I just know some of theirs made it into one of these two bottles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I doubt I will actually use the stuff. Like you were implying it has a lot of entertainment value for me. It will most likely just sit on a shelf in my office. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I really appreciate all the input and opinions here! I am going to stop by SMKW and Buds on Thursday and see what all they have on hand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Me neither, I have some pretty ugly guns! My MAIN reasoning on why I havent really looked at Glocks seriously up until now is the way they fee in my hand, just a personal preference kinda thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I dont mind rails at all. My home defense gun is a Springfield XDM 40 with Streamlight TLR series light on it. Its just that I dont want or need one on this particular gun. It will be mostly just a pleasure shooter...something to just add to my collection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. i was looking at the PCR last night. I dont really want or need a rail, so it may be a top contender.
  19. Thanks! Merry Christmas to you and yours as well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I thought you guys might get a little chuckle out of this like I did. Here is one of my wifes Christmas presents to me... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks for your guys' input! I think you all have swayed me (even more than I was) in the CZ direction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. It would be MOSTLY a range gun. Maybe some carry here and there. My main carry is an XDS 45. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. So I am in the market for a new handgun. I have my mind set on either a CZ P07, a CZ 75B compact, or a Glock 19. Many will cringe when I say this, but I have never owned a Glock. I have always personally thought them to be uglier than sin, and am not real crazy about the way they feel in my hand. I am finally willing to give them a try however, with the G19. The only CZ I have ever owned is my Scorpion. So the 75B and the P07 would be new to me as well. I have thoroughly fondled all three, and like the way the 75B feels in my hand the best, then the P07, and lastly the Glock. This makes sense because CZ handguns have a good reputation for being comfortable in the hand. I am interested to hear your guys' input....which would you choose out of the three. Why? TIA for your input. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Mine came today, and let me say I was pleasantly surprised and am very happy with everything! I got a couple of cigars, some whiskey samples, and one of the one and only DLB knives! A huge thanks goes out to my SS!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
