  1. I had to get rid of the mustang but here is my past. I was 2007 Mid-South Region Solo Worker of the Year and 2007 Mid-South Region FS Driver of the Year.
  2. Pics? Private sale? Where did you get it?

    16" vs 18" vs 20"

At 200 yards, I can't imagine that you would see much of a difference between a 16 or an 18. If you are goin to be trudging through the woods with the gun (hunting), I would recommend a 14.5" barrel with pinned and welded muzzle device. A 14.5/16 inch barrel will be plenty accurate out to 200 yards.
  4. What importer is that? I kinda like the import mark on the barrel out there.
  5. Man. Now you have me scared. I should probably stop using my 10/22 because the barrel doesn't have ANY caliber on it. /sarcasm Not all guns have caliber on the barrel. Sounds like you have been around ARs for too long.
  6. Indeed! And some of those car parts referred to are just about every engine block and heads out there. Casting is INCREDIBLY popular in the automotive world.

    Please Help 1st gun

Citation please. When I took my class, there was no record of what I shot or the caliber.
  8. People just don't know. Of course, if its a Ford, they just need to look in the windshield. If it was built in the US, it will have a sticker saying which plant. My truck says Dearborn and I hope that I never have to change the windshield so that sticker will stay forever.
  9. Absolutely. The Colt is very inferior in comparison.
  10. That is true. I have a H&R 999 Sportsman that I like but I was only basing my information on new revolvers. If you want a single action, the Single Six can't be beat in my opinion.
  11. I haven't used the M4 but I have an M2 that was mounted on my first AR. It is now on a GSG5. I really like it. I think the M4 is just the newest version of the M series. I know a major difference between the two is that the M2 uses a weird battery and the M4 uses a AA.
  12. The Taurus 94 is the cheapest new double action that I know of. I like them okay. The smiths are pretty friggin expensive and ruger doesn't make the SP101 in 22 anymore. I'm sure that there are some other options out there and someone will be along shortly to name them.
  13. A lot of people like the Heritage Rough Rider for around 200 bucks. But do you want a single action? Or are you more of a double action person?
  14. Yep. Offer 100 bucks. Tell him you are going to spend at least that much to get a new barrel for it.
  15. I'm still on the right track. I said no more guns this year back in march. Ive stayed on that path for two months so far. Haha
  16. If you are going irons only, then why flip ups?
  17. My scope came in today.
  18. Rough Texture Frame. Basically, a way to destroy your holster or body.
  19. TacSol, CMMG, Model1, and ATI are the only ones that I know of making dedicated uppers. There are probably a few more but those are definitely the most common. I chose the CMMG based on previous product experience (and having dealt with their customer service) and the fact that I have a bolt hold open and a forward assist. I also don't think any of the others offer an 18 in barrel. To my knowledge, all of the ones listed above only make 16 inch uppers except CMMG which has them in 18 and 20 inch flavors as well.
  20. Lived here for 28 years and never been mugged, raped, murdered, assaulted, etc. I guess I'm the exception that proves the rule. Oh, and those 28 years were spent in Frayser and Raleigh as a white nerd. Those from Memphis will understand that statement.
  21. Yeah the stock is great. I've always been into 22s. I love cheap 22s. They just are cool to me. Plus, with most of my 22s, I can own 5 or 6 for the price of one 9mm or 308. That means I can take more people shooting with me and get more people involved in my sport.
  22. Yep. Find someone with a ups account and ship it that way. It can still be done legally for around 15-25 bucks.
  23. So is anyone else out there dumb enough to build or buy one these things? And I'm not talking about the HK416 or M&P15-22. I'm only talking about real AR's with a dedicated upper. Here is mine. Surplus Ammo & Arms stripped lower Palmetto State Armory LPK Bill Springfield Trigger job Magpul MIAD OD Green Magpul PRS OD Green Brownells A1 receiver extension CMMG 18 LEP upper with stainless steel upgrade, forward assist upgrade, bolt hold open upgrade, and stainless collar I'm still waiting on a few parts. The scope and mount will be here tomorrow. Vortex Diamondback Rimfire 2-7x 35mm Burris PEPR And I'm waiting on Magpul to start shipping the rifle length MOE handguards. So what about it? Any of you other guys dumb enough to spend that much money on a 22? And please don't post your .223 and say "its a 22 with a 3 on the end."
  24. Where the hell are you shipping things? I seriously think people overpay for shipping.
  25. 60 transfers and that 10 dollars turns into another mini14
