Integrally suppressed rifle
Capbyrd replied to Caster's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
No special hoops. Just a regular Form 1. As long as the entire assembly is 16 inches. If its shorter, you would need to file two Form 1s. One for the suppressor and one for the SBR. Now, as for using the shotgun, I don't know about all that. Thats out of my wheelhouse. -
Jacob, call Classic Arms and talk to Chance. He will point you in the right direction.

First 22 LR Suppressor - Which One?
Capbyrd replied to lshel's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
My first can was the Mite and if I had to do it over again I would. I've never shot it side by side with any other cans though so I can't give honest comparisons. I will say that I find it to be hearing safe with all of my hosts. Its a bitch to clean though. I've had it get so locked up that we had to put it in the vice and use a breaker bar to free it. Would I get it over again if I had to? Yes but I got it used locally for a fantastic price and it was a great intro into the world of shhhhhhh. I just mailed paperwork for a Warlock II Monday. Its another sub $300 can and is from Silencerco. SiCo has a great reputation and the Warlock has some great features. The baffles click together which should prevent the can from locking up. Its also threaded on both ends which will also help keep it from locking up. I'm excited to get my stamp back (hopefully within a year) and get these two out side by side and do some shooting. -
Only issue I've had that wasn't my own fault, was a 10/22 takedown when they first came out. I troubleshot it myself and determined the problem to be an out of spec bolt. Never put calipers on it so not sure how out of spec but putting that bolt in any other receiver would transfer the problem. I talked a fella on the phone and told him all of my troubleshooting steps and what I discovered. He said no need in sending the rifle back, he'd ship me a new bolt and gave me his info in case it didn't work. I had the new bolt in two days and the rifle ran 100 percent from then on. I called the guy back and we talked a little while. Like me, he was a big fan of the 10/22 and had a few. He said if I ever had any 10/22 or mark series issues to call him first and he would take care of what ever I needed. I like Ruger. But those that know me, know that.

I'll echo what Verne has said. Rumors are that they announced factory 9mm versions at the recent bullpup meet

What is wrong with being concerned? Nothing. You absolutely should be concerned. But you sell yourself as having the inside scoop on everything with your "I talked to so and so..." and "I'll make a call and find out..." and people respect you as a "subject matter expert." So you saying that this looks like it's going to happen makes people think it's a done deal. It's not. You put this out there without also adding in all the other available info. As a "SME," you have to remember that people will blindly follow your every command and take your word as fact. But these types of posts and scare tactics have driven ammo prices to double in the last 6 years and in some cases, ammo is still hard to find. At least the AR market self corrected but ammo probably never will.

First Class 3 about to happen
Capbyrd replied to jacob's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
John recommended it and he's our attorney. I'll take his word. Whether its necessary or not, doesn't matter. As of right now, there is still no date that the official ruling on 41P is going to be announced on. Some have said February and some have said first quarter. But its possible that it gets pushed to Q2 or Q3 next year. They have a ton of comments to go through in addition to the regular work that they have to get done. I WOULD NOT worry about 41P for now. -
FEAR MONGERING! Do not buy into this 100 percent. Chip is right. The draft has been around for a while and it was one of many proposed forms. This is NOT to be taken as evidence that 41P will be adopted. I'm not saying that it can't or won't be but this form is proof of nothing. Its a government agency. You don't think they would produce dozens of different drafts for something that they are thinking about doing before implementing anything? This is a much ado about nothing deal and should not be taken seriously yet.

Thanks for the headsup Todd. Looking forward to seeing what happens next!

This was revealed last weekend at the Bullpup Convention. I'm not really into the 9mm Tavor but I love the thought that went into this. Lots of credit to them for this product. So its a combination fore end and suppressor setup. It comes with a brake that fits into the baffle stack and acts as a blast baffle. It can be swapped back to unsuppressed with just the screw that holds on the fore end or by removing the stack from the fore end. Need help with a full auto HK sp89 clone

I saw that. It excites me. Especially in combo with the integral can setup.
-
Did anyone see the 300 blk Tavor or the "integral" 9mm suppressed Tavor?
-
I just don't want to keep adding calibers. It makes it much more difficult to buy ammo when you have to buy ammo for each gun and not for a group of guns. However, I might get mine and leave it alone. Or I might rebarrel to match other guns. I dunno. But I gotta have one. And I love the gas block. At least in photos.

I have no desire for a 223 or 5.56 rifle. I've moved on. But I will be getting one of these.

Here are some handy links to keep around. I've ordered all of my forms directly from the ATF in the past. I will continue to do so until e-forms is the only way. List of common forms and links to their PDF versions. https://www.atf.gov/content/library/firearms-forms This is where you can order forms. Notice the drop down for step 2 "Please choose a document." Here is where you will select what forms you need. If you need Fingerprint cards, you will select the FBI FD-258LE. https://www.atf.gov/forms/dcof PDF version of 5320.1. Application to Make and Register a Firearm. Also known as Form 1. https://www.atf.gov/files/forms/download/atf-f-5320-1.pdf PDF version of 5320.4. Application for Tax Paid Transfer and Registration of Firearm. Also known as Form 4. https://www.atf.gov/files/forms/download/atf-f-5320-4.pdf PDF version of 5320.5. Application for Tax Exempt Transfer and Registration of Firearm. Also known as Form 5. This is what your kids will use to inherit your items if you are not using a trust. https://www.atf.gov/sites/default/files/assets/Library/Forms/Firearms/f_5320_5_application_for_tax_exempt_transfer_and_registration_of_firearm.pdf PDF version of 5320.20. Application to Transport Interstate or to Temporarily Export Certain NFA Firearms. This is the form you submit when traveling. https://www.atf.gov/sites/default/files/assets/pdf-files/atf-f-5320-20.pdf PDF version of 5330.20. Certificate of Compliance. This certifies that you are a citizen. It must be submitted with your Form 1 or Form 4. https://www.atf.gov/sites/default/files/assets/Firearms/FirearmsIndustry/f_5330._20_certification_of_compliance_with_18_u.s.c._922g5b.pdf I hope that you all find this a handy resource. Maybe someday, I will go back through and add in help or hints on how to complete each one and the processes you can use to get your stuff back error free. Thanks

Mine came back pretty much the exact same as I remember it
-
I had mine done at the county jail/courthouse when I was getting CLEO signature. Can you not do that up there?

Kickstarter doesn't charge the supporter until the end of the campaign. And then only if the goal is reached.

Dang. I must have been asleep last night cause I read LCP and not LC380. Oops.
-
You sure about that? Pretty sure it was LCP, LCR, LC9.
-
Yup. The 357 magnum and 9mm versions of the LCR have a steel frame where the other LCRs (38 and 22) use aluminum.
-
Following up on their recent announcements of "new models," Ruger announced today an LCR chambered in 9mm. This pleases me. However, its driving me nuts that they are calling these new. New chamberings yes, but not new.

Thats awesome. I love the beretta 22s.
