I want one of these revolvers! They are of great quality and NAA is selling them as fast as they can make them. Yet every time I see one at a gun shop (which is rare now days) I think about what would happen if I ever got into a gun fight with one....and I walked away from the counter. Now that I have over a dozen concealed carry guns of all types, I think it's time to get one. For a back up weapon or deep concealment weapon. Although I would hate to have to use it.

I carry the Glock 19. I know a lot of people say "the Glock grip doesn't fit my special hands" and "The Glock trigger is too sloppy for my finely tuned fingers" and I understand what they are saying. I don't carry the Glock 19 to comfort my hands. I carry it to help me get out of danger. I do like the Beretta. It's a fine weapon. But this danged Barvarian Brick has proven itself time after time.

In all of the excitement of having to use a handgun to defend yourself, you may only get one chance. I do not want to screw it up by forgetting to rack the slide. I always keep one in the chamber. I would carry two in the chamber if I could.

Thank you for your service to our country.

Just go down to the local recruiting office and tell them you want to kill. Before you know it, you'll be at Paris Island or Ft. Bragg doing that stuff all day long...for free.

Dude. If you are not a liquor drinker, be careful. I've seen beer drinkers try liquor and get themselves all messed up. One shot of Jack Daniels is equal to one beer or one glass of wine. Pace yourself, just sip it slowly and enjoy. One cup of 80 proof liquor is all a man needs to drink in one night. Don't waste your money on high dollar bourbon or scotch. Get a bottle of Black Jack Daniels or George Dickel 12 year old. The taste of Tennessee.

Cavers don't use the term "Spelunking". They just call it caving. Tennessee is honeycombed with caves. It's great on a hot summer day or a cold winter day. A friend of mine is a caver and goes all over Applachia crawlin' through caves. I have been with him a few times. Beware of the "Black Damp".

I bought a Crossbreed Super Tuck that is molded for my Crimson Trace Lasergaurd, but I find myself using the Uncle Mikes $15 holster during the summer months.

They are moving to Rockingham County. It's near Mayberry and Mount Pilot. I have owned Rugers for many years and have never had any issues. I even have a LC9 which has never failed to go bang, even though the trigger is terrible. I think that Ruger's quality may have gone down because they are working so much overtime trying to meet demand. There is no excuse for sending out poor quality weapons.

It sounds weird but it tastes great! My wife made them for lunch. Go easy on the Mayo.

I will continue to carry my 9mm and even my 38 special. I know of a man who was shot 8 times with a 45acp and 11 times with OO buck shot and he still managed to kill two law enforcement officers, get in a car, and be driven away. He bled to death later. I love the ballistics debate! I have been studying it for many years. I enjoyed reading this article too, though I do not agree with everything he said.

What a great pistol! MIne is stock and shoots like a dream. I understand they can do a trigger job to make it mo betta but mine is good right out of the box.

You need to come over to the dark side and get a plastic pistol. Glock, XD, M&P.

Just for those who never knew: Al Sharpton

The District Attorney in the Duke LaCrosse case was disbarred from practicing law. His name was Mike Nifong. -

Al Sharton, Jesse Jackson and the Black Panthers all came to my home town to protest when those terrible Duke LaCrosse players raped that poor young exotic dancer. The only thing was.....they didn't do it. The woman was lying. These boys lives were nearly ruined by this "linch mob". Yet did any of these people ever say "I'm sorry. We jumped the gun. We judged you before we knew the facts?" NO THEY DIDN"T! They just went to Florida and did the same thing to George Zimmerman. I guess they never saw "To Kill a Mockingbird". -
My family is a mix of Auburn and Alabama fans but my sister graduated from UT. My new son-in-law in an LSU fan. I was educated in Tennessee but live in North Carolina, where ACC football is what we do to kill time before basketball season starts. Most of my family believes that the LSU fans are the rowdiest. I would like to know what "real" SEC fans think?

One thing you have to remember. The cops won't clean up the mess. I heard a story of a guy who confronted a man inside his home and shot him with a 12 gauge shotgun. The man talks about having to clean skull fragments and brains that splattered all over the living room. The memories were so bad that he ended up selling the house and moving elsewhere. The good point is that he was alive to sell his house and move, plus protecting you life and family is more important than worrying about the carpet. The bad point is that he could have stopped the guy with a lesser gun, but better to have too much gun than not enough I recon. I go with a handgun first and a long gun if a) I can get to it and b) if the the situation warrants it.

I love this question! I keep a Glock 19 on my bedside table witha Crimson Trace laser guard. Next to it I have a Smith and Wesson model 36 38sp. I my closet I keep a Hi-Point carbine with a laser dialed in a 25 yards and a single shot .410. In the Den I keep a .380 behind the clock and in the kitchen I keep a Ruger LC-9 and a Walther P-22. All my other guns are in the safe. I also have two good dogs in the house. They will bite and they will protect my wife to the death. It sounds strange being that I own bigger pistols, shotguns and rifles, but I feel well protected..

We've deemed you crazy for having a gun
Will Carry replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
A 500 caliber handgun? He's a police officer and he calls a .50 caliber handgun a 500 caliber. Five Hundred! That idiot is too stupid to carry a gun. -
I was raised in the South by two God fearing people and a God fearing community. My mother was a US Army nurse in WWII and my father was a rifleman with the infantry. They both saw action. They raised me to respect a person for who they were, not the color of their skin. That's how I roll...............I understand racism like only a southerner can. I respect anyone unless they deserve less, regardless of their color.

Riot! I'm working 60 hours a week to put food on the table and a roof over my families head. I ain't got time to riot.
-
That's why the media was on Trevon Martin's side. They get the black people all pumped up and then the verdict is Not Guilty and they get riots to cover. It's all about ratings. Without conflict, the media would go bankrupt, so they create their own conflict. There is no justification for assaulting a person and George was attacked. It should never have come to trial but the media has been spinning this like a top. Twisting the facts and squeezing the emotions out of people. It makes me sick.

Lessons learned from the Zimmerman/Martin tragedy
Will Carry replied to jgradyc's topic in General Chat
Good advice for all! Trevon was at that age where he had the body of a man and the mind of a child. The whole affair was a clusterflop. There is only one person alive who knows what really happened.
