If you're woried about spent fuel reclaimation taking place in your backyard, you folks in the tri cities need look no further than a few miles south. A private company in Unicoi Co. processes fuel from spent powerplant waste.

I'm leaning more towards the FMJ camp. There was a recent link on here (sorry, can't find it now) that had a pretty compelling argument for penetration over expansion, especially in smaller calibers. This material along with slightly higher confidence in feeding has me carrying FMJ. Whatever you decide, shoot plenty of what you'll carry. I'll drop back in with a link if I can find the mentioned article.

Bill's Outpost and WD Sporting Goods.

I can't believe this thread is buried so deep. Don't know that I'm in the market for one, but it looks nice. Maybe it will result in a few more Kahr PM9s on the used market.

I think you may have fallen into the same boat as me. I was interested in scoring some stickers. I missed the boat waiting on the "Ok let's order decals" thread. The ordering took place through the original "What do you think about maybe ordering some decals" thread. I didn't keep up with that one. Hoping to catch the next round. I'll watch more closely.

Sorry. I knew I stunk the place up, so haven't checked the thread lately. Way to go RW!!!

Blount Co. largest employer Denso Manufacturing is closed for 1st shift operations. WBIR is reporting 3", but I measure a little over 4" on my patio. Just sitting here drinking coffee and watching it snow. It's been a while since I've had a snow day!

We do a name exchange with my wife's family. The mother-in-law drew my name. Sucks right? Nah, best MIL ever. I got every item on my Midway USA wishlist. Mostly reloading stuff.... powder thrower, loading trays, storage boxes, case reamer, primer pocket brushes, etc. I'm going with "Best Christmas ever". My little girl will be 2 in January. Watching her Christmas morning was the most fun I've had on Christmas morning since I was 8! She's the only grand-daughter and niece too, so Sunday with the wife's family was lots of fun. We still have a good 4-5 inches of snow here in south Blount Co. today, so we're going sledding! Merry Christmas everyone!

LCP. Great little pistol. Would probably like the Sig 238, but a little pricey.

I'm in. I'm pretty sure I wrapped up last year tied at last place.

I do, but mostly by phone. My laptop puked and I haven't gotten around to replacing it. I need to get back online soon ....or upgrade from my crappy blackberry.

How many pounds of lead in a 5 gallon bucket?

The train would arrive at 6:47 ....and Sally would have 8 apples. -
+1 for Bill's Outpost in Maryville. I've not used them, but I've heard nothing but good things about Austin's too.

I liked that. Some friendly jabs that rang with some truth.

Opposite side of knoxville, but Bill's Outpost in Maryville is a great place. Super guys to deal with.

I picked up a set of leupold scope mounts to fit a 1" tube to 3/8" mount. They are pretty tall, designed as see thru for your iron sights. Plenty of clearance for bolt handle. I think I paid 13 bucks for them at Bill's Outpost in Maryville. I'm not using them at the moment if you'd like to try them out for a while.

TGO...XD Talk...hmmmmmm. Maybe a tech head with an anti- agenda?

Not the full cake, but the cupcakery on Kingston Pk has awesome red velvet cup cakes.

Saw all the milsurp threads lately, and figured I'd show mine!

That's one big pile of fun! Nice collection. -
I don't think I've seen one of these. Maybe post a pic? Sounds like this was ordered. Care to share your source? I'd love to have a "real one" but would rather consider one of these and a used handgun ... and some .45 bullets ...... and some powder .....and, well you get the point.

I carry an XD45C in a small IWB. The double stacked mag is a little thick, in general, but not uncomfortable. Lots of folks go with a crossbreed supertuck or one of the MTAC models. I'm considering one of these soon. Some of the single stacked 1911s or polymer framed guns are easier to conceal and I would think more comfy but the XD works. It is an extremely easy, reliable platform with a large capacity of .45. I really like the flexibility of capacity change with just a magazine. When I'm not carrying with the compact mag it's my nightstand favorite with the full sized mag. If you're looking for a new one I'd watch Bud's Gunshop online. They are usually in stock in the very low 500 range. Seems like I've seen them run once or twice for 499.

I would suggest Crutchfield's web site. You can search for fit by vehicle and sort by price. I've picked up several higher end speakers that were on clearance for the price of Wally World cheapies.
