  1. I sent an email as well!
  2. It wasn't free...it cost you ammo to get that coupon. I'm just sayin...
  3. That comes from all the times I DIDN'T listen, and that's why my head has all these lumps on it.
  4. Guys, let it GO! we're all aware that some people feel adversely about David's decision. Well and good. Hell, I don't like the idea that you have to be a paying member to post adds in the trading post but you don't hear me bitching about it. the bottom line is that everyone has a slightly or often widely different world view. and LIFE IS NOT FAIR. If the policies of this board become too much then there is a great big internet out there waiting for you to find another forum to post your views. If you notice, I've posted NO NAMES. I'm not damning anyone specifically but simply saying that there are times to fight and times to maintain your composure and just get along with folks. This is one of those places and one of those times. The fact that I personally also disagree with this decision STILL holds no bearing on the reality of the situation. STOP it!
  5. hahahahaha....I don't think I'll take that bet. I will however keep an open mind...don't get me wrong. I am learning quite a bit from you guys!
  6. I totally agree!! for those of you who think you need the best and the brightest gear to perform, I would direct you to this event in order to dissuade you from handicapping yourself. http://www.bobrohrer.com/sea_stories/end_of_an_era.pdf This is the story of George Farr and his astounding actions at the 1921 camp perry competition.
  7. proof positive that liberalism is a mental disorder.
  8. I had a 2nd Gen. P3AT. Bought it for my wife originally, but she said it hurt her hand to shoot it, so I traded it for a bursa thunder380. The P3AT was awesome. right out of the box, with no malfunctions whatsoever. in the time that I had it I fired probably 200 rounds before I cleaned it, then fired another 100 rounds though it again to trade it. It worked flawlessly with zero malfunctions. Accurate too, for what it was made for. I guess my wife wanted something that would be easier on her hand when she emptied the magazine. (for a mouse gun this is the most effective way of stopping someone, imo) I wish I hadn't traded it.
  9. If you get tired of shooting into the side of the hill, you can always come out to an E. Tn shoot one day Chip!
  10. It actually IS worth a listen. I guess I was just struck by the examples of the anti gun advocates. Mr. Lott actually has a lot of quotable material! He's another weapon in the information war.
  11. a firearm is a tool, nothing more, nothing less. Your real weapon? it's sitting on your shoulders. Using it is up to you.
  12. If you don't have that movie, let me know..I'll burn a copy for ya and leave it at mark's with the other CD's
  13. meh. I once saw some guys doing that kind of fighting..they looked really surprised when we came out of the jungle, crossed the road about 20 yards from them..of course we were loaded down with all sorts of weapons, from an m249 to m16's with grenade launchers..we were the "green demons". Needless to say, they stopped what they were doing and just goggled at us until we got across the road. I'm not much of a fan of ANY sort of fighting..it hurts too much even when you win, unless you get into girly man fights. As for the Danzig vid... heh. he asked for it. I guess that's why he's a singer instead of a boxer.
  14. Oh man!! NOW I want pancakes! good thing I have some in the pantry!! thanks Bronk!
  15. Not a bad kilt, though I would have dressed my socks over my boot tops..that way I wouldn't look like the only dork on the range wearing a skirt and boots. Are those socks argyle??
  16. it's 5 pounds of awesome!! LOL! I love it!! Admiral ackbar was cool..Not only was he the best looking fish in the movie, he was smarter than..the ewoks.
  17. nope..not yet it hasn't. But it will.
  18. Actually it stays in the wooden box it came in, usually locked, down in the garage next to my reloading station.
  19. wow...I'm sorry to hear that Jaime! I got home, cleaned my pistol and then lubed it up with tetra grease and it's still as pretty as the day I bought it. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
  20. I miss him too Mike. As for locking his threads...I guess this is a way for him to be remembered, ya know?
  21. Back in my younger days, I used to run into women like this. I found that when I ignored their looks and did my job, they would get pretty bitchy themselves and eventually would throw a tantrum. They hate guys like me because we don't give them their way according to their looks but instead, according to their actions/performance. I'm guessing that she's self absorbed and as crazy as a Sh*thouse rat. From what I've read..I'd almost lay money on my assessment. And fellas? While you think it would be great to "hit it and quit it"..let me advise you...that kind of skank is special..it will follow you 1000 miles just to kick you in the huevos. Never do anything in the dark that you can't explain in the light.
  22. I am actually considering a .22 magnum as my next purchase. I want something to shoot with my wife when we go to the range. It was a toss up between a magnum rifle if I can find a good one, and a winchester wildcat .22 bolt, with a heavy barrel. I didn't even know about that rifle until one of the newer members on the board said something about it. for 249 bucks, it looks to be a pretty nice rifle! Winchester Wildcat 22 Lr Target/Varmint Hvy Barrel : Bolt Action at GunBroker.com I will be doing more research though.
  23. You're in luck! I very good friend just sent me about 65 pounds of brass...all .38 caliber. if you're in E. Tn, you're welcome to come pick some up at the next shoot. I'll be happy to give you an ammo can full.
