Basically he need a dump truck, but any class B. The trucks he'll be driving are built on a dump truck frame anyway. Crazy thing is I'm required to have an A. If I get handed keys everyone knows somethings going down that no one needs to find out about. LOL Not a single person in my classification is required to have one but me. Damndest thing.
-
The position he wants says "class A, B or the ability to obtain one within 6 months". However they are getting enough applications, that the are kicking out non-CDL guys just to thin the herd. I have a CDL and figured I'd have to ride with him to the dmv, but finding a truck is a B. After February it'll cost him around 10k to get one.

Got a buddy that needs to rent a class A or B so he can get his CDL. He has a permit and has to have the CDL to be considered for a new job. He has access to people that have a class A so that's not a problem. Any idea where he can go? If I need a big truck, I just go get one of 20. I have no idea how civilians do it. I also have a bunch of exemption letters. I have no idea how the average guy gets this done and I'm trying to help out a friend and feel a little inadequate.

Last bump before it goes on Facebook. Also consider a Baretta 1301 tactical gen 2 that takes chokes.

7mm PRC on the 6.5 PRC case would be the answer. Gain several hundred rounds each barrel and more energy on target.

$900

Honestly, we would just get 3 or 4 barrels and have them chambered for the gun we were running in a match. I keep backup ar 10 barrels now.

Strong opinion either way on the Savage Axis rifles?

I got one for my Daughter's boyfriend. I ordered a trigger kit for and the trigger is 100x better. It's in 6.5 creedmoor. It feels cheap compared to what I shoot. It is also a solid 1/2 moa gun if you shoot 3 shot hunting groups. His was $359 with the scope. I think it's worth the money. -
LOL I've got about 100 hours in one on the way back and forth to Texas. Biggest issue we've had was it's ability to break windshields. He did change the tires out almost immediately. What issues did you have? The 4,6,8 engine software is junk. (The sticking lifters) I don't think the 3.0l duramax has that.

I get it. I've owned two primary vehicles since I graduated high school in 1992. Both were almost free because they were undesirable, but reliable. I have a vehicle that work provides. Any nice vehicle I've gotten, has been for my Wife and it needed to be able to carry a wheelchair. My Wife and kids always came first. Yes I have a 700 hp Studebaker and that was always an excuse for me to drive "junkie" trucks. I just turned 49 and I can afford what I want without the family being put in a bind. Frankly I'm the one limiting the price and I've wanted a nice truck for 10 years now. I'm in a position of being able to afford it and I'm trying to justify it to myself. I hate having to use the Wife's vehicle if I need to drive over 2 hours.

I'm still looking. It sucks, but I may end up with a Chevy trail boss with the 3.0 duramax turbo-diesel. I know some guys with them and the worst fuel mileage was 29 mpg. 700 miles on a single tank. I will be doing my research.

looking for LPVO mounting options for Savage 110 PCS 300 B/O Bolt Pistol
Alleycat72 replied to Cevans's topic in Handguns
That letter is good for up to 1 year. You should let the gun tell you. Hold it like you're going to shoot it and see where your line of sight is. That will be the best spot for the center of the scope. Get rings that get you as close as possible to that alignment. -

It all depends on what you are doing with it. I'm form 1ing a Christensen arms mmp now. It'll be used as a rifle, so all rifle rules apply. It's also suppressed. It'll be running a thermal 50% of the time and it's got a 2x7 on it now. The stock I'll be getting has a removable cheek piece. Ordering different sizes allows ypu to set up different scope heights. You could 3d print them also. A good 1x 6 is cool. I kind of want a 1x8 Nightforce. On 7x, my little Leupold isn't quite enough power. On 5x my Nightforce is almost too much power. -

My kids killed their deer with a 16 inch 300 Whisper and a 5.56. I've put my kids on ARs from the start because the gun can grow with them. A 243 will kill any deer your kid will ever shoot at normal range and so will a 6.5 CM. I have a 6mm CM I shoot quite a bit and it's a very close to a 243.

Old post, but that works out bad if they empty their wepon in response to the sound.

I've used this for my side job for a while and recently upgraded to a N-vision xrf. Columbia

I've got a gun that has been by my side for years. No telling how many critters I've taken with this gun. At least 200 hogs. I'm really thinking of upgrading. I've never been sentimental about a gun. Studebaker yes......, but never a gun. It'll just sit in the safe until I die 80 ot 90 years from now. You guys ever get a little weird about letting stuff like that go?

LOL Same issue

So I got a chance to kill a hog with a knife this hunt. Is was not my intention, but it happened. Never ever go into a thickit looking for a wounded hog. LOL.
