AFIK, Woodford comes out of the barrel as hot. They just add water to bring it down to bottling proof. I usually toss some ice cubes in the glass to tone it down a little.

I tried them side by side, but didn't dilute to Bookers down to 80 proof. I'll give it another shot. Been wanting some Woodford anyway. I did a lot of sampling before I settled on those two.

A .223 will do 600 yards. It just doesn't have much energy left when it gets there. Can't argue with a bolt gun, but an AR can be REAL accurate if it's set up right. I have some good bolt guns, but the most accurate rifle I have right now is an AR15.

I can't believe there isn't a decent rifle range in the Memphis area. That's depressing.

A .308 has lots more recoil, and is going to be more expensive. As with all "what do I buy" questions, you need to decide what you are going to do with the rifle. The .308 is better for bigger game and longer range shooting.

Especially that cruchy dirt that's in most driveways. Yep, there's no telling what the hysterical sheeple said on the phone. That's why I'll try to make sure the gun isn't in my hand. I'm certain I wouldn't know the cops in my neighborhood.

Wow. I got mine as much for fire proofing as for security. Sure, my neighbors saw them deliver it, but it was on a special trailer. It's certainly not my only line of defense.

A mouth full of dirt is more likely than getting shot, unless you're just stupid enough to point your gun in their direction.
