  1. "Everybody's miserable, miserable, miserable"
  2. Both are ideal. I don't currently have night sights on my home defense gun though, just a streamlight TLR-3
  3. Great looking pup you've got there! Having an older dog will really make training a breeze for the puppy.
  4. I Just paid $13.xx a box for some 124 gr. stuff from SportsmansGuide.com
  5. No one?    Tough crowd tonight...
  6.   Not sure I completely understand what they are doing but it sounds like they are making it legal to open carry without a permit.   http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/01/23/piers-morgan-constitutional-right-to-keep-and-bear-arms-without-infringement-act-filed-in-oklahoma/     Can't wait for the usuals to complain about open carry...
  7. I'm sure he will win the election once again.
  8. I agree with the others but I've had the exact opposite experience. My GF hated shooting my LCR and ended up picking out a Sig p238 for herself. She loves it. We just took a defensive pistol class last weekend and she did better than I did.   When we first met, she had no interest in getting a carry permit. 3.5 years later her permit just arrived in the mail.   Don't force anything on her, but give her time and try to find a semi auto that's more enjoyable than the LCP. I think the LCP is one of the least enjoyable pistols I've ever shot. the p238 is quite pleasant.
  9. Deltona can be a fairly rural area. I'd tell that school to kiss my a$$.

    Glock 42

You sure make it seem that way.   You do have GT Dist down there. Which reminds me, one of my coworkers down here is friends with the owner of GT Dist. Love that store.

    Glock 42

you keep claiming Chattanooga has all the ammunition in the world. Any idea why? Which stores are you going to?   How much is .380 there? When I can find it here I have paid anywhere from $15-20 a box at Wal-Mart.

    Glock 42

No, in fact I was surprised at how stiff the recoil spring was.

    Glock 42

I got to fondle the G41 and G42 today.    I'll start with the 41. It's a nice pistol but didn't feel any different than my Gen4 21. The slide is differently thinner but of course longer. I'm sure it will sell, but I still don't understand why Glock chose to introduce this one.   The G42 is small. Really freaking small. But unlike other guns that size it doesn't feel cheap. Glock impressed me on this one but I won't buy another .380 since I can't even find ammo now for my GF's p238.    If they come out with a single stack 9 the same size as the 42 I'd be really tempted to pick one up. I'd dare to say the 42 is even small enough to pocket carry. Hell it's lighter than the p238 and definitely smaller than the shield.
  14.   You sleep with a gun on your hip? That sounds extremely uncomfortable. I imagine you have to sleep in jeans with a belt then?
  15. That would be a really large back up gun. Not sure how that could be pulled off. It looks bigger than the Glock 26
  16. To me, it still looks pretty thick. I don't see any advantages with this that I can't get from a Glock 26, XD subcompact, or M&P Compact.   $1,100 MSRP? Not a chance.
  17. Thanks for the update guys. I was just watching one of his vidoes last night and I was wondering how he is doing.    I hope the message gets to him that we're all thinking of, and pulling for him.
  18. I also liked your page.
  19. If you know who did it have the police come dust for prints. Are you an NRA member? Don't forget their insurance should cover the loss if you are not able to recover them.
  20. Damn, really sorry to hear this. If you can afford $15 a month I would recommend getting an alarm system with Simply Safe. I have a wireless system from Life Shield but I pay twice as much.   Just curious, is it all they took? Was the gun hidden or in plan sight?
  21. I had a CZ 40P that was not reliable at all. Hence why I no longer have it. That model is known in the CZ world to be the worst design they ever created though.   I would not hesitate to own a CZ75 or P01 if I ever come across one at a great price. They are extremely accurate and ergonomic.
  22. I would just recommend that even with a decent backstop you don't shoot in a direction where your neighbors may be right behind the target.   On Christmas morning we had a man get killed while working in his yard. His neighbor was shooting at this private range and somhow managed to send a round into the chest of the man next door.   http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/deputies-man-dead-after-being-shot-possible-stray-/ncThz/   Just be very sure you won't put your neighbors in danger.
  23. This was posted on another forum. I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned here but perhaps it's because it's unlikely to pass.   http://freedomoutpost.com/2014/01/tennessee-nullification-obamacare-federal-gun-laws-legislation-introduced/
  24. I love my Talon grips. I have both but definitely prefer the granulate. As the person above mentioned, if you lightly sand it down there are no issues. I have found that the rubber texture actually causes blisters for me during extended shooting sessions.   After 4 years, the grip on my G19 is starting to peel off. I'll probably order another one soon. I liked Talon a lot more before they doubled the price though.
  25.   This is the setup I have as well. I just bought it 2 weeks ago. It's a great optic for the money. I'm happy.
