No Guns Involved...This Is Just Too Cool To Not Post It!
White Goodman replied to RobertNashville's topic in General Chat
Great video. The cost of those gifts are a drop in the bucket after the great publicity it will generate for them. -
The LCR is a fantastic firearm. I don't carry mine much but I do enjoy shooting it. I had a chance to shoot the .357 version owned by one of the members here and it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I wish I would have purchased the .357 version since it's slightly heavier and gives you more caliber options.

Glock trigger was hard to pull
White Goodman replied to Howler's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
That's strange, never heard of that. Is that the G26 I sold you a few years ago? I'll keep this in mind if I ever run into the same issue. I've heard of guys who have thousands of rounds through their glocks and have never done more than a field strip. -
Apparently they are going to announce at shot show. I have a feeling the results are going to be a let down.

It does exist. One of my coworkers brags about using it frequently.

so statistically Memphis isn't one of the most dangerous cities in the nation....every year? I agree they it's constantly beaten up but the numbers don't lie. If you remove Memphis from the list TN would fall down the list. Just like Michigan if you remove Detroit.

Marcus Luttrell on operation "Red Wing" must watch.
White Goodman replied to Dustbuster's topic in General Chat
I read his book about his experience that day it and was truely incredible. Credics claimed much of his story was exaggerated but I never heard if that was true or not. Either way, he has a lot of respect in my book as do all those guys who fought that day. :usa: -
I like lights. Fenix and Streamlight are mainly what I purchase. I have a Jet Beam as well but it tends to eat batteries too quickly. I like AA because of cost and availability. If TSHTF those CR123A's are going to be hard to find. Hell, they are not even that available now. I always have to order online.

People here crack me up. I'm sure that those of you who are so cold about this have never sped or done anything wreckless in a car before right? Also, I'm sure you've never been the passenger when the driver did something dangerous and you had little control. I'm usually the first person to get pissed about Americans who obsess over celebrities. In fact, half the time I hear one named I don't even know who they are because I don't care. That being said, from all accounts Paul seemed to be of a better caliber than the majority of celibrities and I don't understand why some of you feel the need to put down the situation with such negativity. I heard a story where Paul was in a jewelry store and struck up a conversation with a solider that was returning from the middle east. Long story short, Paul ended up paying for the engagement ring the solider couldn't afford. So yes, the guy driving was probably speeding, but we've all done the same damn thing. That doesn't mean we deserve to die.

Greg, as Mike said they are one of the best. I find myself on their website quite often. For Cyber Monday they had the newest generation of Magpul Pmags for $8.99.

Night stand guns caliber and capacity
White Goodman replied to Duck's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I'm an incredibly deep sleeper. My GF doesn't get home from work until 02-0300 on many nights and I rarely even hear her. My hope is that our home alarm going off will deter said criminal. If that doesn't work I have a Gen4 Glock 23 with a Streamlight TLR3. I'm debating on switching this to a Glock 21 I just purchased because I really don't care for the .40 caliber any more. The GF has a Sig as well and we have discussed how we would react to different scenarios. I feel we are fairly prepared for most events. -
I was sick 2 weeks ago for 8 days. I never get sick.

Man what a scare. Glad it ended well. -

I reposted this to Facebook as well asking my friends back in TN to share. You'll be in my prayers TDR. Keep us posted. -
What will I need for reloading?
White Goodman replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I'm a visual learner so this thread has only confused me further. I need to find someone down here that will let me come over and watch the process. Amazon has a book on Reloading for Beginners that I may pick up. -
My dog doesn't seem to like them. We bought her one and she loved it. After that one was gone we bought her another and she wouldn't touch it. Very odd.

Tn man shoots Ga man with Alzheimer's
White Goodman replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
You guys assume way too much sometimes. Perhaps he couldn't afford a light for his pistol, maybe his house doesn't have exterior lights or even if it does, we don't know if the guy was standing in the shadows. I also highly doubt he knew it was an elderly unarmed man. He went outside to investigate and found himself facing a man in the dark who wouldn't follow commands and then began coming towards him. I'm sure he was in fear for his life. The bottom line is that you really shouldn't go outside in this scenario. Stay in your house! -
News are reporting that he was a passenger. That's a beautiful ride.
-
Ya, he apparently did a lot of charity work and I imagine he's a guy I'd enjoy having a beer with. Sad to hear him go so young. I hope the impact took him, burning to death has to be one of the worst ways to go.

That's a cute cat...

It's not a hoax, he's dead. He was a pretty bad actor but he seemed like a decent guy and I liked his movies.

We got a new puppy recently. We've almost had him a month now. I suppose he's 12 weeks old, we got him at 6 weeks because the mother stopped nursing. We're 99% sure he's a Belgian Malinois mix. Google it if you're not familiar with the breed. He seems very intelligent. He hasn't had an accident in the house in over a week. I think having an older dog in the house is helping him learn. He's already learned "sit" too. Having a 2nd dog has helped the Husky. They entertain each other all day. Here's Gunner,

Ya that seems unnecessary. Get a big ass safe, security system and a couple mean ass dogs if necessary.
