    My new Baby!

I have the USG version. I am not able to use WWB as they jam in the magazine, but everything else runs fine. It is easily the most accurate pistol I have. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
  2. FNP 45 here. I think it is too big to carry, but it is a great shooting gun. I had a FNP 9 that I liked, but sold again because it was too big for me to carry. I am very happy with my FNP.
  3. If one of the three of you are set on the CW9, why not just get one first? Then all of you could try it and see if you like it. My wife has the CW40 (same size as CW9). It is not a range gun by any means, but it is very reliable. It also feeds anything we have put in there. A good IWB holster and you won't even notice it is there. As crashgordon said, there are lot of other options in the same size/ price range if the CW9 does not fit what you want.
  4. Look for a replacement from a junkyard. Find the same color and just swap them. I am a Jeep guy too, but mine are trail rigs. I wouldn't even notice that on mine.
  5. Welcome. I shoot at Unaka too. In fact, I was there today.
  6. I know you are not supposed to mount a safe directly on concrete. If I used a 3/4" plywwod base, would that be enough sepeartion?
  7. I carry the SR9c in a Kholster. Nice accuracy, decent trigger, 10 rounds for carry, 17 for the range. I have no experience with the others, but the Ruger doesn't make me want to look for anything else.

    Off-Road 4x4

If all you are looking for is the first pic, you should be fine. Get a small (2") lift, 33" tires, and stay easy on the gas. You should be able to handle easy trails. Once you gain more experience and decide you want to go more towards the second pic, get a Jeep.
  9. Not that it helps a huge amount, but you can get a $1 off coupon online.
  10. I went this morning. It got hot in the building by noon, so i took off. I didn't see too much. Most of the gun prices were high, as expected. Some of the ammo prices were even higher. Still, there was a lot of 380 availble. One guy also had a Thunder 5 from Piney Flats for $485.

    RUGER SR9C

My son just put 150 rounds through mine yesterday without one hiccup. They are really nice guns,
  12. Welcome from JC.
  13. Welcome. I like Rugers too. I have and SR9c and a P97. My wife has the LCR.
  14. Welcome from Johnson City.

    FNP-9

I agree. I have one and really like it. They are usually listed among the top whenever a question about the best gun for the price comes up. They do not get mentioned in casual conversation, however.
  17. I understand TN does not require stating you have an HCP if pulled over by an LEO, but I also understand they seem to like to know if you are carrying. Not to mention the anectdotal evidence that it seems to help minimize traffic tickets. My question is the prevailing opinion of two people in the same vehicle who are carrying when they get pulled over. I would mention my HCP to the LEO, but what about the passneger?

    FNP-9

I have one and really like it.
  19. Welcome. Where are you from in southern IL? I grew up just east of St. Louis.
  20. Welcome. My wife's family is from Ironton.
  21. Arrrgh! My son graduates high school this Saturday, so I will not be able to come. Hopefully there will be more of these over the summer?
  22. I bought one from a leather worker local. It is a nice thick belt, and made a huge difference from the wally world one I was using.
  23. A great thing you may not need, but will wonder why you didn't get one sooner.
  24. Welcome, from another Johnson Citian.
  25. So far, very much so. You can also trim the leather if you want, and it does not void the warranty. Mine is the cresent, so it will probably carry differently than the pancake. I don't plan to change anything on mine yet.
