  1. Great idea, added that to my wishlist. Thanks
  2. Sure, technically, but even if he had a specialty cord like a PD cord, the power source dictates the current/power. His Wyze solar panels put out 5V at either 2.5 watts or 4 watts, so they can't even supply one amp of current, so he's safe. He just wants to be sure his solar panels can't fry his phone.

Are you returning the Essential bag? Selling it (PM me, if you do)?

Thanks! I really don't need another bag, but I keep chasing that perfect one, LOL.
  5. I wouldn't be concerned with giving it a try because there's no way it produces too much current. USB-C is designed for 5 volts at up to 3 amps. Worst case, it would charge your phone at 5 volts, but very slowly. Here's a brief description of what you're concerned about and a link with more details if you wanna read it all:
  6. I have that Anker solar panel too. I got it for my birthday one year and I love it.
  7. 56 hours sounds like a really long time, but 10K mAh is a LOT. I bet most folks would never drain it much more than a day in the sun won't make up. I'm ordering one too.

I just watched a great video about it. Looks like an excellent tactical EDC bag that doesn't look like one. I really like it. Would an 8.5" x 11" legal pad or a standard size spiral notebook fit in that main compartment?
  9. If it's almond or avocado colored then it will never die.
  10. -President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho agrees with this statement
  11. Looks like a gorgeous place.
  12. My grandson and I just got back from vacation w/out my wife. We took our little camper to Edgar Evins State Park for the week. It was good to get away and even better to be outside all week in God's splendor. She gave camping a try and both times I spent almost all my time trying to keep her comfy/happy and didn't get to enjoy it. Likewise, if she'd dragged me with her to Boston last month, I'd have been a miserable old grump and she would have had less fun. This separate vacation thing is working out great!
  13. I got quoted $2500 for a 3ft ash tree that size really close to my house, but they were also going to remove all the debris and clean up, so it's not a fair comparison.

I'd never make it because I'd never be able to decide which one to bring.
  15. How do you pull the clutch and change gears with the same hand?
  16. I'm too old for rigids and they might not make kidney belts in my size, but I like the clean lines
  17. It's like watching an episode of Orange County Choppers, but w/out the fake drama, inflated budget, and even more inflated egos.

@Handsome Rob, thanks for the Poshmark recommendation. I found this Keen bag on Poshmark for $20 w/ tax/shipping. It's really well built with lots of storage areas, comfy to carry, and not too big (I could stand for it to be just a little smaller, but it'll do).
  19. Best way I've seen yet to thwart the "my eyes are up here" remark
  20. I saw them for $40 - 55 quite often on ebay when I was on the fence, but I don't like to buy used electronics from strangers. Knowing @jeremiah has been on TGO for 16 years and has around 100 positive feedback posts calmed all those concerns and this radio works flawlessly.
  21. The biggest flaw to gov't assistance is the fact that they don't give people a chance to work their way out of poverty. They boot them off the dole before their first paycheck arrives. It's almost as if they want the poor to stay poor and dependent on them.
  22. I saw a YT video where an autobody tech buffed the finish. Kinda funny considering the price. BTW...this is one of my favorite YT channels.
  23. I've seen some 30 year old models that still work. Seems overall they are well-made. I'm glad to finally have one.
  24. How long has it lasted so far. I hear these things are like the energizer bunny.
  25. Just wanted to say I'm LOVING this radio. It sounds great!!!
