I have had an Olympic Arms and DPMS, but have upgraded both to what I have thought was the best. 223 = Bushmaster XM-15 308 = FNAR Heavy Barrel

Here are some pics of my kids partying like it was 1773 Steven Vertrees's Photos - Party like its 1773 | Facebook

I was there with my family and it was great. I will upload a couple pics later of my kids participating.

They are a great gun. When i saw your post, I thought about offering to sell you mine to help feed my current Sig addiction. But, after further thought, I decided that I could not part with it. It is the most accurate poly gun I have ever shot and I love having 17 rounds of 40 at my disposal at one time.
-
I own one for every pistol that I have and love them. I carry my 226 and 1911, including the Sig I bought from you, in them. They are a quick draw and if someone were to shoot themselves while drawing it is user error. If you can not operate one of these without putting a hole in yourself, you should move somewhere like New York where they have laws to protect you from yourself.

I agree with JHatMaker. When I was selecting my primary carry weapon I considered both. But because of the availability and price of ammo as well as in a real world defense scenario I do not believe there will be much of a different, I went with the 40. I bought a XD sub 40 and it has been my primary carry weapon. Other than in winter when clothing allows me to strap my P226 or 1911 to my side, I carry the XD in a M-Tac holster and have for 2 years. I am very tempted to upgrade and change firearms all of the time, but changing this as my carry weapon has not been one of those temptations.

I will be in Franklin.

I was at the range the other day and an older gentleman had a new Kahr 40. He was firing his second mag through it and the ejector blew right out of the gun. After 45 minutes of finding all of the parts, some of us range rats put the thing back together and put another 100 rounds through it with no problem, but I would not trust my life on it. About the Taurus bashes. I have PT1911 which had the safety blown out by some bad reloads. I called Taurus and sent them the gun, they repaired and sent it right back. So within 3 weeks, I had the gun back and functioning perfectly. I was super impressed with their customer service.

Personally, the only gun I can comfortably wear small of back is my smith air weight 38 SP. I can carry and sit, but I can not sit with any of my semi's. I have not found it feasible to try and carry my PT1911 IWB. I actually have a Blackhawk Serpa for it and carry it OWB with a shirt over it. But if I am going to the office I carry my XD Subcompact with a M-TAC, but I have had to start buying my pants with an extra 1-2 inches in the waist.

If there is someone here wanting to pay 450 for one, I will sell you mine. And I even have the pinky extension on all of my mags

That is Obama's strategy. Spend us into Socialism.

I still love my XD and XDM....

I just saw this myself. Let me know when you are doing this again and I will be there, I work in the Brentwood area.
-
This really irritated me since I just bought one from someone here on the forum a few weeks ago. I had not even gotten it out to the range.
-
I would look at the FNAR. I bought one a few months ago with the heavy barrel and love it. FNH is a proven company that makes a very sweet gun.
-
You will love this baby. I have had the XDM 40 since June and love it. It is amazingly accurate. I have been carrying it a lot this winter and it actually tucks SOB nicely. Not much that 17 rounds of 40 with another 16 in reserve can not take care of.

There is a great book called "Atlas Shrugged" written in the 50's, which is ficitonal about America becoming Socialist. Almost everything in that book is happening today. At one point in the book, the hero is talking about socialism and he says that it leaves every man only 1 of 2 choices: "Slavery or the gun" But hey, who is John Galt?

I have had my xd40 Sub for about years and love it. It is my EDC I have put about 1200 rounds through it. I believe the XD subs are the best concealed carry weapon on the market.

I am on there, along with my wife and I am pissed. With a 7 and 2 year old at home, as well as a 3 weeks old, I feel this endangers my family. At least that is what my lawyer is going to say.
-
Sad to hear about it. I have run about a 1000 rounds through my XDm 40 and have never had a problem and love it. I still believe that the XDm is the best poly gun on the market.

Luckily I have invested in enough amuunition (more than I will mention), but not quite where I would like to be financially in the case of total economic fallout, which I do not believe will happen either way immediately. I believe it will take the Obamanation at least 2-3 years to completely destroy what is left of our economy (which could prove to be optimistic).

I used to own an XD 40 tactical and currently own a XD 40sc and an XDM-40 and love them all. I generally shoot Remington Green Box, but also love georgia arms canned heat. I found it not to be too dirty and it shot well. You can buy it at www.georgia-arms.com Also, all of mine are stock. I thought about upgrading parts, but I really love them the way they are. The only upgrading I decided on was the XD to the XDM, which I do not regret at all.

I am really digging SOA. I am sad to see the shield to go, but it is time to wrap it up.

Owl Hollow is a great out door range. There is actually a meet n shoot for this forum there on the 13th. If you are interested, you should come and check out the range then. The guest fee is $5.

Hunter, If you want to try the Kel-Tec P-3AT, you can shoot mine. It is hard to beat it as a pocket gun for size and reliability. Steve
