  1. i am glad you finally pulled the trigger and upgraded. Just kidding on the upgrade part (even though it is in my opinion). i believe you will be very pleased with it.
  2. That is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen.
  3. Sounds like it does and most of them are broken.
  4. I will be there. It always a blast to get together with you guys and gals. I am hoping to have my mits on a XDM by then, but I have to see if I can sell my xd tactical first.
  5. I have 2 kids and another on the way that suggests otherwise. I carry a Springfield XD 40 SubCompact in a M-TAC holster. Conceals well and comfortably in business as well as casual clothes. Gives me 10 rounds of stopping power and then I carry an extended mag on me that gives me another 12 rounds. And then is I have more problems I have a 9mm with 34 rounds in the glove box of my car. I also have a Keltec .380 for when my clothes do not fit the IWB well, like shorts or if I am wearing a blazer or jacket I carry it in addition to the XD. I love the XD because it rocks and it is not a glock (which are usually for guys and gangstas that are trying to compensate for something..j/k..kind of).

    first 9mm

I would vote for Beretta 92fs or XD Tactical for home and range. If you are looking for a carry gun, i love the XD subCompact, I have one in 40.
  7. I went by Franklin Gun Shop earlier and was able to fondle the new XD-M. I am completely and totally in love with it. I am thinking about selling my xd 40 Tactical and buy this thing. It felt so beautiful in my hand and loved the way it felt and the sites on it were much nicer. Franklin is selling it for 680, does anyone know of a better place to get one.
  8. I like the swiss cheese approach as well as new technologies. The new Tulsa is a fully electric car that outperforms a Ferrari and has a 220 mile range. We need more of that quickly.
  9. the Elegant Pathetic A$$holes are the root of a lot of evils here in America. I love how twice in the past the Feds offered to pay for the proper structure that would have avoided the New Orleans disaster after Katrina, which the EPA blocked both times, then they turn and blame Bush for the disaster. I do not disagree the OPEC is a problem, but they are a problem we can not really do anything about short of another war, but the others, we can do something about if we really wanted to.

    Homosexuality

The Bible, tradition, and conscience (God did give us oneof those for a reason). Everything Nate said is very true and I do believe. I guess my main point is that Christians are not called to condemn, but love. That has been lost by many and I believe that is why you see alot of negativity as posted earlier in the thread towards religion.
  11. The biggest problem is not the Arabs. It is actually Exxon, BP, and Shell. If the problem was only the Arabs, then why are these three companies shattering profitability records every quarter.

    Homosexuality

I do not know, neither does any other person on this Earth. But I do believe that I should not say they are. If someone does live a life of sin, I do believe they are going to have a really rough time when facing the Lord on judgement, but it is not my place to say what he will do, but I pray for his mercy when I get there, I sure as hell am going to need it.

    Homosexuality

Wow, it actually took a lot to get through all 9 pages of this post and there are very interesting points and I had pretty well decided to keep my mouth shut, but that is hard for me so I guess i will put in my short rave. It is sad that Christians have gotten so judgemental on a lot of issues. I grew up believing that homosexuals, alcoholics, smokers and even Catholics were all going HELL. Which is why I ended up leaving the church after attending 2 years at their University. I know my mom is in a constant fit since I now drink, smoke, and I am Catholic. One thing I have learned over the years and that the Catholic church teaches is that we have no place to judge anyone or condemn anyone. We do not know what God's "criteria" is for who he allows into heaven, that is one of the wonderful "mysteries of God". I do believe we have to answer for our sins, but as far as what keeps one from the gates of Heaven, I leave that to the "big man". Now, I do believe homosexuality is a sin and a choice. I know 2 people who were gay for over 10 years each (one is a woman and the other is a man) and they are both straight now. I am not going to condemn or judge anyone for their choices, I am going to love them and pray for them. Homosexuality is a sin, but it is no worse then someone constantly living under the influence of pornography or premarital sex. Sin is sin and everyone will have to answer for their sins. Jesus did say "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." There is no limit to God's mercy and I believe it is wrong to try and put God in a box and say that we as humans know what God thinks and will do.
  14. Just to remind to everyone, there is not anywhere in Spring Hill to buy ammo. If you are coming from the Nashville area there is a Wal Mart right next to the interstate in Cool Springs. You take the first Cool Springs Blvd Exit and then when you come to the light take a left onto Mallory and Wal-Mart is about a mile on your left. Or you can hit Franklin Gun Shop off of 96 if you want to pay too much for it.
  15. I just found out today I am going to be able to make it this Saturday. I thought I was going to have to be somewhere on that day, but i was able to rearrange my schedule. Yipee....

    Vonage

I had Vonage for 5 years. They were good at first and then went downhill on quality of service. I have the Charter cable phone now and like it a lot.
  17. Cracker Barrel is actually only 2 minutes farther away then Snappy Tomato from the range. Whenever it has been raining I always bring my hunting boots and change into them when i get to the range.
  18. Wargames
  19. I am going to load mags, drink some coffee, and then be on my way
  20. Weather: According to the weather channel there is a 60% chance or rain right now, which there is not a cloud in the sky. That is supposed to be a 30% by 9am and 0% by noon.
  21. You do have to bring your own targets. If you are going to sgoot on the rifle range you will need a staples or pins. In the pistol pit you can either layout skeet or hang targets from a wire that runs across the back of the pit.
  22. That is awesome. He had a lot better luck then me. We have an over infestation of hens so the Jakes will hardly respond to calls.
  23. I would buy it.
  24. For some reason, I am not surprised. It is very interesting that the Democratic bid has come down to a Socialist and Muslim who are both in the closet but will come out as soon as they are elected. I think that it is interesting that there is not more talk about the fact that the reason for the second amendment was so that the people had the ability to protect themselves against their government if the need ever arose, which is the main reason the socialistic Dems want to take our guns away.
  25. All of the positions you are firing from are covered. If it is raining things can get a little wet when you are mounting your targets. Right now looks like we have a 30% chance of rain on Friday and 50% on Saturday, but over the past month forecasts have changed daily, so tomorrow it could freakin say snow on Saturday.
