Now that's a knife.....March 15th
maroonandwhite replied to Grand Torino's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
So do you by chance have any Valyrian steel stock? And have you ever made a broadsword? :pleased: Awesome knife too! -
I've seen you guys talking about these before. Is that play dough or wax or what? Now that I have a press I may load some of them. I have the bees as well now.

Not recieving notification emails
maroonandwhite replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Feedback and Support
I have a .me account. Icloud. -
Over the past few weeks I have not been receiving any notification emails. I checked my spam filter and don't see them there. I have also not changed email or anything. Anyone else experiencing this? All of the settings for notifications seem to be set correctly. Thanks.

Just left lebanon Walmart. Plenty of 9mm at 6.94. Few boxes of .308 at that price. I got the last box of .223 and a couple of boxes of 9mm just for the brass. There were at least 30 boxes of 9mm left or more. Things are looking up. I think I saw some green tip too haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Testing the Vortex VIP Warranty - Full Story
maroonandwhite replied to leftyk82's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Not sure exactly what your's looks like but I have seen "scope flare" at high magnification when the sun was going down. Turning it back a little makes it go away. My Vortex does it but my cousin's Nightforce also does it. I think it's just a thing. -

Sadly I will miss out this year. I had a great time last time but sold my bike. I will be getting another one but won't be this year probably. Have fun! -
ATF raises new concerns about AR-15 ammo
maroonandwhite replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Dang. Well my only rebuttal is how fast is his draw? -
I hope you got that metal mag with it! I have heard the edges can be sharpened and used as a close range weapon if the gun runs dry. Probably be banned soon.

ATF raises new concerns about AR-15 ammo
maroonandwhite replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The ATF should know more than anyone about an AR pistol with all of the letters they have been getting on the Sig brace. I'd love for them to do a study to see how many AR pistols have been used against the police. I'd be willing to bet the good ole bolt action would come up more often. Heck I'd bet rocks were used more often. The fact is an AR pistol isn't THAT much smaller and easier for some thug to conceal and carry around. I just don't see what the AR pistol has to do with it. They are reaching for sure. I don't know a way to type this that doesn't sound terrible but I feel like they should worry less about the cops safety (who have training) and more about civilians rights. Maybe they need a little more training in their line of work. As for the round itself. Just from shooting at fruit I'd much rather get hit by a green tip than any type of hollow point. -
Well that's handy.

M855/SS109 5.56 Ban!!! AKA Green Tip
maroonandwhite replied to mcordell's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Didn't really have a need for it before. Don't need it know. :pleased: It does suck though for those that want it. It was actually the first ammo I bought for my AR but only because it was 62 grain. -
M855/SS109 5.56 Ban!!! AKA Green Tip
maroonandwhite replied to mcordell's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Looks to me like they are tabling it in hope that the outcry will die down then they can start back up on it. -
I am getting ready to put in my trellis for growing these and am curious if anyone else grows them. I have alot of 4x4 posts left over from pulling a fence up so I should be able to make a pretty nice trellis with them. Any desgin tips or do I basically just need something/anything for the vine to run across. Also how many vines would you recommend? I plan on getting scuppernongs and muscadines and plan on making wine and jam but will mostly just eat them. I am thinking 4 vines total.

Any ATV drag racing around Lebanon or Nashville?
maroonandwhite replied to maroonandwhite's topic in General Chat
Worked that time for me. I'll be attending this regardless. I have been hoping there was a car track close to my house. I can't afford to race anything bigger than an ATV but I like to watch haha. -
Any ATV drag racing around Lebanon or Nashville?
maroonandwhite replied to maroonandwhite's topic in General Chat
That's cool. I get a dead link though. I'm really looking for a dirt track and I assume this was asphalt??? -
I really don't think it's bermuda though. I am leaning towards just tilling it in and keeping at it with a hoe. Heck half the fun of a garden is working in it!
-
This area was originally grown up waist high so I would call it pasture grass but who knows. I'll get a picture if it's not flooded tonight.
-
I am longing for a good ATV drag racetrack somewhere in the Nashville area. Preferably on the east side. Anyone know of anything?
-
I will admit I know nothing about grass. Maybe I'll take a pic and see if you guys can identify it. This may not be something I should even worry about. I'm sure I'll be fighting it back regardless so I may just be better of tilling it up and going with it.
-
So I have narrowed it down to tilling lightly over it to break up the grass and them raking it up or just renting a sod cutter to get it off. The ground is not perfectly flat in some spots so I don't know how the cutter will do? What would you do? I really just don't want to spray this close to planting and not sure how much good it will do right now anyways. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So anyone in the Lebanon area want to make a few bucks?
-
Yeah I'm gonna miss some of them. I don't think I'm gonna do any root crops this year though. I read something about the ground still having alot of grass in it the first year that parasites like so to stay with fruiting plants. I do want to do greens though. Maybe I can get them in time. Tomatoes, okra, squash and peppers are where it's at though. I may do some sweet corn as well. The grapes will be a new adventure entirely but honestly I'm not too worried with those if it doesn't take this year. I had plans for fruit trees as well but that ship has sailed on me until next year.
