  1. I have a few very old ones that belonged to my dad. They are not very collectible to anyone else because he used them everyday to cut off a chew of tobacco, clean his fingernails, shorten a gas line on the old car or boat or even cut a tomato for his sandwich. They are priceless to me however.
  2. Amen....that's exactly what the Hildebeast would have done. “We’ve got to go after this,” Clinton continued. “And here again, the Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment. And I am going to make that case every chance I get.”
  3. Our furry friends are so special. I've had to say goodbye to many, but I always give them the best life I can. I also always move to the next one and do the same. I'm sorry for your pain and loss. There is no love like a pet's love.
  4. I'm wondering if they really want to be pro carry, why not national constitutional carry?
  5. Well, they didn't waste any time on this one. Thoughts? Comments? National Reciprocity Introduced today.
  6. Where's the best (cheapest) place to buy desiccant ? Like maybe 2 lbs or so?
  7. Your efforts are very much appreciated David. You have the most unique site on the WWW in my opinion which is why I spend about 90% of my web-time here. Well that and the awesome people that hang out here. It's almost like sitting around a campfire swapping stories. I've learned a lot from this site and not just about firearms. I have no problems with the upgrades and changes you make and it doesn't take much time for them to become just as cozy as the last campfire session. Keep up the good work and know that it is much appreciated!!
  8. Welcome! That's a really nice area of Tennessee to live in. I used to go up that way quite a bit, but it's been a few years.
  9. Welcome to TGO Mark. You're comments are spot on in my opinion. It's great that people like you are leaving the communist leaning states behind. Just remember that even Tennessee has room to improve in the area of the rights of gun owners and as Raoel stated, we must be vigilant. Watch our leaders carefully....some would rather ride the fence than commit on certain issues. In my opinion of course.
  10. Here's some info https://trademarks.justia.com/741/43/l-v-knife-ass-n-little-valley-ny-74143621.html This may be what you're looking for: See page 152 and 153 It appears a Bob Crandell was the owner.... https://books.google.com/books?id=LL_7wQN8U9gC&pg=PA153&lpg=PA153&dq=L.V.+Knife+Ass'n+Little+Valley+NY&source=bl&ots=6GvBYGN3a8&sig=UGvSydiB2sumC9UpIqFXMoeuCgc&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwibjKeTqKHRAhWBKCYKHZndASUQ6AEIKzAE#v=onepage&q=L.V. 11. I use Hoppes products for the bore, CLP products for general internal cleaning and then apply a thin, quick spray coat of Eezox to the entire outside of the firearm and bore for anti rust properties, then after a 30 minute soak, wipe down with a clean rag and swab the bore again. Any friction area of a firearm gets a light touch of molykote grease.
  12. Thanks MacGyver, I do too. I'd really like one more for the freezer. I've been the past 3 days and only saw one deer but too long a shot for my comfort. I don't want to lose one because I was impatient. I like clean kills and don't want to wound one.
  13. Thank you. I've thought about doing this and may now actually do it!!
  14. Nor bullet proof, I would imagine, depending on what's being shot at it.
  15. What it all boils down to is that all the laws are in favor of the business and the rights of the lawful citizen be damned.
  16. Cabela's is my choice over BPS by far, but even Cabela's takes second place behind Academy Sports on my list.
  17. Congrats on the hunt! I just read some info on them and they seem to be the best eating bird there is! I had no idea. These things are apparently running all over the lease I'm hunting on. I've heard them the past 3 days I've hunted with todays adventure scaring the crap outta me they were so close and sudden and LOUD!! The first day I heard them, I had no idea what I was hearing. I suspected a bird of some sort and had heard the cranes on the lake while fishing and found them on the internet. I've heard them, but have yet to see the critters!
  18. I hadn't decided at bedtime what I wanted to do, sleep in or hunt. I've hunted the past 3 days without even seeing a fresh track. I decided to sleep in so I didn't set an alarm. I woke up at about 7 or so and got up to drink some coffee. I looked out the window at the 4 wheeler on the trailer still hooked up to my truck and the frost on the ground. I went .......I couldn't stand it. I suited up, made a quick sammich for lunch and off I went. I was in my tree about 9 or so and it was a beautiful morning, but again not a sign of a deer. I could have filled a 5 gallon bucket with squirrels though!!! I got home about 3 and unloaded the 4-wheeler and trailer. I'm done until sometime middle of next week. I have no idea where these deer have gone unless they are laying low in the pine thickets. Just maybe I'll get lucky during the last 10 days or so. Woe to the one that gets into my shooting range!! LOL
  19. I've spent several hours out in the woods this week, but the deer are gone.....where I don't have a clue. No fresh sign anywhere. I know these rough country mountain leases were tough, but dang.
  20. I live in SE TN, so I'm not close at all, but being an old 'Letrician, I do have conduit and straps....but thanks anyway.
  21. The plywood i used for the deck is 4'x2'. I supported the outside edges and back with an 8' two by fours one 4' and 2 are 2'. I screwed the plywood down to those. It's supported with 4 large black tie wraps from harbor freight. I have extras in my atv bag in case one break, but I'm surprised how solid it is. I can stand on it with no problem. The rack takes the weight. The tie wraps just keeps it from sliding in any direction. I'm going to add the rails for sure. Thanks for the idea
