This happened yesterday June 22. Mass shooter tried to attack a church in Michigan. He was stopped and killed by church security. One member was shot in the leg. . Nothing on MSM about this. Why am I not surprised?

More info here.

I doubt anyone is surprised that the media is refusing to cover this.

Praise to the members of the security team who responded with God's guiding hand to protect His flock.

What in hell is wrong with people today?

Loss of the nuclear family. I'm sure I'll catch hell over this, but damnIt, takes a father and a mother to raise a child properly.

Granted, there are a very few that turn out to be good raised by only one parent, but they are far and few between.

I agree that this has a lot to do with it, but several shooters have come from nuclear families right? I think there's also something else at play and I believe it's cultural as well.

Lack of affordable and adequate mental health treatment combined with easy access to firearms. We're a pretty sick society. I'm currently holding firearms for a friend because he recognized he didn't trust himself to have them in his home. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to recognize those signs and seek help.

At this moment, I cannot think of any, do you have any references to this?

And I commend you for this

The Crumbleys from the Oxford HS shooting came to mind first

Prosecutors argued that they purchased the gun used in the shooting for their son and failed to address his mental health concerns, even after being alerted to disturbing drawings he made.

I would not call this the typical nuclear family. If I had a son that exhibited mental problems be damned if I buy him a firearm.

I would not have considered the kid's mental state to be part of the definition of a nuclear family, just whether the parents and child live together in the same household.

As sad as it is to see these troubled people try to get famous thru the commission of murders, happy no innocent lives lost.

The media (and our govt) need to prevent these people’s identities being published and ensure there is no incentive to commit murders in hope of  becoming notorious. Granted it’s more of a factor for the 16 to 20 year old, but common to most.

Maybe a question as to what constitutes MSM for some. I did see this go by yesterday on my news aggregators that extrapolates a summary across several sites,  giving links to each source. It was on the majors I consider part of MSM, including non-friendly lefties, such as AP and NBC

It takes the mother, father, and the rest of the village.  There are many factors involved.

I've also seen this in the news. Maybe not the 6pm TV news, but I haven't watched that in a couple decades.
