Thats funny. But a good deal, when my mother died @10yrs ago we went to the funeral home and made arrangements. I couldn't believe the prices of the caskets, outrageous. They defiantly take advantage of you at the funeral home.

Oh I forgot they offered a 25 year warranty on some caskets. Why?

There was a place in Knoxville called the Casket Store that sold them for way less than a Funeral Home, like $1000 when a FH sold it for $4000.

The FH's had a coniption and said they were not licensed to sell them. Actually got an injunction for a while, but I think a judge ruled on the side of the store. Not sure if they are still in business or not now that the furor has died down.

I think is is awesome. From cradle to grave and never go anywhere until the dirt nap but to Walmart. Isn't America great? :)

All they need now is a delivery room and an OBGYN.

WalMart is just trying to bring the BASIC "one size fits all" PINE BOX back into fashion....besides its probably chinese "lead free" pine too.

The Costco ones are nice. . .and there is a nice little law that says a Funeral Home has to accept coffins they don't carry and sell themselves.

Grandma would be happy that you saved $3,000 and got the same thing.:)
