Well there should be more buns than dogs;). Never gonna be equal. Strickj My wife eats the peanut butter in this house and she has always found the correct sized implement she needs to empty the jar. Then blames it on me, or the dog. Real dog, not to be confused with hot dog and bun matrix:screwy:

I sometimes eat peanut butter directly out of the jar, so I know what you are talking about, strickj. I usually try to scrape out as much as possible, but there is always a little that you can never get out of the jar without using your imagination. You can prevent this waste in a few ways:

1. Get milk, pour it in the jar, shake it up, and drink it.

2. Use a special spoon that is long and narrow.

3. Cut the peanut butter jar in half cross-sectionally. This will give you a better angle with a normal spoon.

Years ago I saw something on tv about a kid who had came up with the brilliant idea of a standard peanut butter jar that had a lid on both the top and the bottom. Periodically I wonder WHY DIDN'T THE PEANUT BUTTER COMPANIES MAKE THIS HAPPEN!?

long handled spoon dude

I use plastic spoons so I don't have to spend an hour cleaning PB off of my silverware.(yeah, I'm a lazy bachelor! )

Furthermore, you still have the problem of the raised up center of the bottom of the jar

I wish they sold peanut butter like they do cheese in a can. That'd solve everything.

Winner!

makes as much sense as giving me 8 buns for 10 hot dogs

Should be the other way around. I frequently drop a hot dog on the ground, but never remember dropping a bun.

As far as the peanut butter, it should come in giant squirt tubes like toothpaste but bigger.

When the peanut butter jar becomes low, simply nuke it in the microwave for about 20 seconds and pour it over your favorite icecream ;)

Works for me.

The extra hotdogs are for the real dogs, or so mine told me.

They do sell peanut butter in squeeze tubes, but whatever they do to make it thinner to make it easier to squeeze makes it taste terrible in my opinion. I like a good thick PB that tears the bread when you try to spread it.

I've never seen it. Thanks for the heads up on the bad taste.
