Some things I've enjoyed as of late. Share your own.

1. Glenfiddich 18 year old single malt scotch. 'Nuff said

2. Kilo Kai Spiced Rum. It'd be an insult to mix this with anything. It needs to be savored all on its own.

3. Tito's Handmade Vodka. Absolutely amazing. Barely a smell, and absolutely the cleanest taste with only a hint of wood at the tale end. Again, this needs to be savored all on its own.

Asbach (German cognac) On the rocks! Although you could mix it with Coke/Pepsi, but is excellent straight up. (And perfect for a sore throat :D) Hard to find but can be special ordered.

Red Stag (Jim Beam Black Cherry whiskey) Nuff said :)

And if you like wine:

Tarquino A malbec wine from Argentina. Have only found this at HEB stores in TX. I'm out so it may be time for a road trip.

Patron Anejo - Sip shots straight, no salt, just a little lime. Mmmmmm.

Cruzan Light Rum - Mix with Diet Coke and a squeeze of lime.

Booker's Bourbon - Just got a bottle of this, but haven't tried it yet. Going to drink it on the rocks with just a little water.

Flor de Cana 12 rum. I don't mix it with anything. The best rum I've ever had.

I've never heard of Kilo Kai. Where is it made? What would you compare it to?

+1 on the Bookers. Good quality stuff. I used to treat myself to a bottle of this 1 to 2 times per year...definitely a higher caliber bourbon than most. Also the other three Jim Beam small batch bourbons are nice as well for a bit less. (Baker's, Basil Hayden, and of course Knob Creek).

But Bourbon is always best when shared with good friends. If you run short of friends before you run out of Booker's, look me up

Forget the water. I carry it in a flask. It has some warming qualities because of the high alcohol content, but it's awesome neat or on the rocks.

The real beauty of Bookers is that it's barrel strength (tasty), and hasn't been watered down. When you bust the cork, take a small sip right out of the bottle and you'll see what I mean. Ice is all you need, and you can do without that

Have a bottle of Stranahans's Colorado Whiskey, but have not opened it yet. Saw a program about this on tv and decided to get one.

Everything done by hand even the labels.

Yea the 120+ proof made me think about adding the water. But I will take your advice and try it straight and see how it is.

Fan of Kilo Kai and Tito's. I love using Tito's to make White Russians (excellent alcoholic drink to counter nightime heartburn due to the presence of milk). An excellent straight vodka if you've got $50 and nothing to due with it is Skull Vodka that comes in a glass skull. I've been interested in Pyrat rum but haven't tried any, does anybody have any experience with it?

Went to Outback with the little lady last night (No parking spot problems this time :)) and had their Wallabydarned on Happy Hour 2 for 1. Honestly, for 2.60 a piece, they weren't too bad. Took a couple of them to feel better, she drove home, so it was all good.

Recently switched from drinking Woodford Reserve to Knob Creek. Even being 100 proof the Knob Creek still goes down smooth, especially over a little ice.

Woodford isn't that smooth of a bourbon, but it is very good.
