The Dan Wesson CZ Heritage Bottom gun in the pic.

Guns & Leather had a new 2010 Heritage

.Slide to frame fit had no play

I like the sight set up and the trigger was very good .

I had 120 of my reloads with me and picked up a box of

Aguila Ammunition - 50 rds. 230 grain FMJ

120 Rounds Nosler 185 grain 4.2 Clays... My Reloads

50 rds.Aguila Ammunition 230 grain FMJ

No malfunctions

Don't like the Grips so I put a set of G 10's on it.

I may add a Ed Brown Maxi / Well.

After another 330 rounds with no problems I will

use it for carry.

The Valor & Heritage are well made 1911's.

Guns & Leather is a great place to shop and the indoor range

is one of the best around.... and the owners and staff are good

Outstanding firearm - I feel like a real f--king idiot for selling my DW a couple of months ago. They're just awesome, and the attention to detail is wonderful. That's a really good-looking gun, and I'm sure that it's a shooter, too.

I am not allowed to go into G&L anymore - I end up buying a gun every time that I set foot in there. I'm going to have to make it a point to leave my wallet at home, that way I'm not tempted. Great folks, knowledgeable, courteous, and a fine shop.

Have always heard great reports on the DW 1911s... I believe their prices went up to reflect their migration up to the next quality level. Bet before long they'll be putting cloverleafed 50 yard test targets in the box like Les Baer does.

Congrats on the acquisition, Kano. You done good!!

Valor

Heinie Ledge tritium sights

FINISH: Matte Stainless

25 LPI checkering Front Strap

Better Back Strap

More hand fitting

The Heritage has a smooth front strap

Clark style target rib machined on the top of the slide.

It is a very well made 1911 and one of the best bang for your buck guns around.

But the Valor is just like a semi custom pistol you have to hold them to see and feel the difference.

That said the Heritage is also a keeper.:)

I like the grips. How much difference is there in the fit/finish between the two models. I have a Herritage and love it.
