Just don't handle any firearms while you conduct this experiment or I'll have to kick you into that other thread.;)

Send 'em on... The more the merrier.

We can all get :poop:-faced and throw bourbon balls at Archie. :D

By the way... Am I the only one who keeps a bottle of bourbon in the freezer, so it doesn't need any ice? The stuff won't freeze, y'know... at least not 'til you get it way down past a normal freezer's temps.

I like my bourbon warm enough to melt the ice a little. I quit putting alcohol in the freezer years ago.

This!

Never could understand why someone would want to water down perfectly good booze. That's kinda like fruiting a beer :P

At the risk of being laughed at, what are they for? Just to make round ice balls or what?

I like Bourbon, Old Charter for me. Just started drinking it more, that and Jack Daniels.

I'm glad you asked because I had no idea either.

Drinking freezer bourbon just makes me want to shoot my guns. Since I can't drive anywhere, I wind up doing it in the front yard. :D

A splash of water or a little ice melting opens up certain spirits a bit and lets you taste aspects of them that you otherwise would miss. The value of adding a splash depends greatly on the bourbon / whisky and of course personal preference. There are some that I like a little water in, there are others I wouldn't dream of it.

On another note...

Picked up another bottle of Maker's 46 tonight to have on hand after our current fifth is done. We're in no hurry on either; it's just nice to have more. :P

So what's the opinion on the Makers 46?

As for the ice balls, just finished my third drink on 1 ice ball in a 2 hour period. I'd say they're cost effective.
