The Supreme Court and You -- Ongoing Battle

Recommended Posts

The Tea party Has been Largly highjacked By Neocons

Romney is No different than Obama

Santorum and Gingrich Cannot win because they arnt even on the Ballots in Numerous states which total more than 500 delegates so

Inorder for either one of them to win they would have to win nearly every Primary and caucus Left "Because they arent on enough ballots to just win a few of the ones they are on"

They are only in the Race to siphon the Anti Romney Vote from Paul

This election Primary will be Liberty Freedom and restoration of our Country "Ron Paul"

Or Gun Grabbing , Big corperate Backed , Huge welfare Stateist "Mitt Romney"

So if Romney wins the Primary The in the General it will be

Gun Grabbing , Big corperate Backed , Huge welfare Stateist "Mitt Romney"

or ..Gun Grabbing , Big corperate Backed , Huge welfare Stateist "Obama"

Wake up Already!!

and remember if SHTF or zombies took over the country we would all be the same team anyway :)

Some of you give the President's office too much weight. Some of you don't give it

enough. If you consider what OS is saying about SCOTUS, that should be enough

to allow a Romney to run and please win., if he's the nominee. The House needs

to be maintaining a Republican majority and the Senate needs to be won by the

Republicans to make a real difference.

It may not make much difference if the Democrats maintain the Senate and Obama

wins and it looks like some conscientious voters will allow it to happen if things are

like this board thinks on a national scale.

If things remain the same as now, SCOTUS will go the wrong way and you will get your

revolution. It will be another October revolution, and not very American.

One of you said "short-sided". Tell me how short-sided it is to vote for a Romney or

Santorum when the alternative is communism. What turns my vote into a "long-sided"

one? If you say Ron Paul, please explain it. I know what he stands for, but I also

understand how splitting a vote happens, also.

Some say the Tea Party is/has been minimalized. Please explain that, also. It is made

up of you and I, and if you think the GOP has co-opted them, tell me how Allen West

and Rand Paul is still running their mouth and getting away with it. Sometimes, one has

to pick their battles to win while they are trying to change others from complacency. I

think that's exactly what they are doing. If you want to give up, fine. You made your bed.

I won't waste my time trying to explain anything to you.

Romney can't grab guns without a willing House and Senate. He has promised to kill

Obamacare. He won't sign any treaties or get them ratified. He may be a puppet to the

GOP elite, but he can't do anything other than trim the executive branch. I doubt he

would sign any executive orders like this Communist has.

If he is going to be the nominee, I want him to win and have a Republican majority in

both house and Senate.

It's funny how Paul supporters think that by voting their conscience their inciting change when in reality you're ensuring the opposite.

If Paul had a snowballs chance o even coming close to winning, I'd vote for him. But that's not reality

And I don't consider it compromising my beliefs it's prioritizing them.

1) I believe Obama is the worst thing for this country

2) I believe Paul is not electable

That leaves me with only one option

I am getting really tired of having to hold my nose when I vote! The pres is the end goal. We have to get a truly conservative senate and congress in place. keep up the grass roots movement. lets get conservative governors and congress men and senators in place. that is the way you swing the conversation to our side. until we have a more conservative and broader base ,we are stuck with NE liberal rinos.

Well, the difference is everyone needs to vote for who they think would be the best president, not for who they think will win strategically. Strategic voting is one of the many things that got us in this mess. I think most people are for less Gov if they voted from their hearts we would get a good one.

Your Right this is where it counts most Im really hoping This Freedom movement aka"Ron Paul movement" will intern create a huge outporing of people willing to step into the limelight and run for Office locally to nationally It would be nice to see !

If that's the case then gut the primary system and let someone else pick your

candidate. the primary system is there for the people who get involved to choose

a candidate. If you aren't involved in that process, you get their choice. Get involved!

It's easy to criticize other people's decisions. It gets more difficult when you get

involved when one gets involved in the process. CPAC decided to hold their collective

noses this time. No one was conservative enough for them and they have been for

Ron Paul in the past. They are looking for someone who isn't running, but out of

the choices, they made one. They aren't part of the elite, either. Of all the speeches

at CPAC, Sarah Palin was the most popular, but she isn't in the running. I suspect

she is more conservative than the rest of the crowd and most around here wouldn't

have anything to do with her. Sad, but she figured it out.

When people get their collective asses away from the MSM and tally up their reasons

by using other sources to make their decisions, we can get a real conservative into

office. This country is still conservative enough to do it.

And Rand will have a better chance of winning than his dad ever had or will. I agree with OS, vote in the primary for who you think is best and then vote for whoever the Republican winner is. SCOTUS is too important to give up to Obama in November.

For those that think there will be a Revolution in this country, ya'll better break out the Reynold's Wrap and make your hats. I heard all this crap when Clinton was elected the first time. Saw all the militias formed all across this land and then saw the aftermath of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City. I saw people realize what could happen and then back away from the "brink". There will never be another Revolution in this country.

There will never be another Revolution in this country.

Obama and his Marxist cronies efforts to destroy capitalism in exchange for socialism/communism is a form of revolution weather a bullet is fired or not. Give him four more years and everyone will see what a true Marxist revolution is all about. This is why everyone has to ABO in the general election.

So in the 2004 case of United States v. Sanchez-Villar when Sotomayor said "the right to possess a gun is clearly not a fundamental right.", she actually meant that the right to possess a gun really is a fundemental right?

Also, lest we not forget, she dissented on the McDonald v. Chicago case.

Dare I say she is not our friend.

It only took the Supreme Court how many years to realize the rights guaranteed by the Constitution superceeded state rights? Our freedoms are worth so much more by voting for the "right" party than to vote for someone who cannot win even one state in the election. I agree with Dr. Paul on our economic policies, but strongly disagree with his foreign policy. If the western world leaves Iran alone, do you honestly think nuclear war isn't right around the corner? Are you going to be angry enough when Israel is nuked? New York? Washington DC?

A third party candidate has zero chance of winning, so it's really a moot point to grandstand and talk about principles. The problem is the SCOTUS. If it swings to the left, it could be years, if not decades before we can swing it back to the right. That's a lot of time to do irrepairable damage. That's a whole lotta hurt for these people who want to change the system. That's too great of a risk for me to vote for "the right candidate". Obama has got to go. I'm not saying Romney will do a whole heck of a lot better, but I'd rather have a fighting chance than toss away my vote on principle.

AND, even if it did turn around after years or decades, the SCOTUS Judges rarely if ever overturn a ruling by a previous court. So any rulings that a left leaning court ruled on would likely remain forever.

For the record I am fairly certain the Justice Sotomayor's views on weapons mirror Ron Paul. The difference being that she sees the issue as "settled law"

For my money I don't see the difference between Obama's appointees and whoever Romney might nominate. If Obama gets to nominate a few more I'd imagine police and corporate power would decrease. Which I think would be a good thing. If Romney gets to throw a few up there I imagine that things will stay the same for longer with the court. Conflicted about this.

At the end of the day I'm not voting for Obama not because of the court, or because of anything else he might do. I'll vote for someone else because after all the crap Obama told me he would do he didn't. Still got Gitmo? Yep. Raise taxes to pay down the deficit? Nope. Transparency? I can't see you from here.

Everything conservatives tell me about Obama eventually turns out to be untrue, sadly everything liberals tell me about Obama turns out to be untrue.

It's like you go to restaurant where they've been serving you Campbells chicken noodle soup for years. you decide that you've had enough of the salty swill so you ask for something different. BAM! You get a bowl of Campbells chicken and rice. You say this is just the same crap but with rice instead of noodles. The waiter says "I told you if you asked for something different they'd take your noodles away" than he hands you a big ass side dish of noodles.

Most people will say there is some kind of lib versus con war. I'd say the controversy is manufactured. What we have is center right guy versus a center right guy (no really obama is center right) trying to play to center right country. The best center right option that pretends he isn't center right wins.

Really? What have you been told about him that was untrue? Where do you see Romney's appointees

coming from. I doubt he would appoint a "wise latina". I haven't heard anything about his choices, but

I seriously doubt they would be liberal. Bkelm explained about her stance on guns.

And where did you get this notion of Obama being "center right"? Is center right the same as communist?

It would have to be because all of Obama's policies and practices are based on communism.

The rhetoric doesn't change facts no matter how many times it's played.

We have to get Obama out of office...NOTHING is more important than that..NOTHING.

Ron Paul will not be President...he will not be the nominee...most people figured that out before the primary season began; for those who didn't figure it out before the primary season; it ought to be pretty obvious now.

We MUST keep a conservative majority on the Supreme Court or EVERYTHING IT LOST. and we will lose the court if Obummer is re-elected.

ABO for this guy. I know some here want a revolution, but those are violent and deadly and not as glamorous as Hollywood might portray. I say one step at a time. Get Obama out, then work to get the next joker out.

I think you may be misunderstanding some folks that mention a revolution. I have said in the past that

I think we will have a civil war on our hands one day, but I don't think anyone on this board or on the

right side is desirous of a revolution any where or any time.

Since you brought it up, the "Occupy" fools are part of a movement by Van Jones and that woman from

Harvard(?) that is funded by George Soros, Tides or whoever that are the ones wanting to see a revolution

and Van Jones has been vocal about this. There have been too many of his speeches chronicled by Beck

and others as evidence. Whether it is an overthrow or just a plain old taking like Obama seems to be doing

I don't know, but I do believe it is others wanting to do this, not us. I fear that will happen, but it won't be

because "we" started it. Plan on seeing more of the "Occupy" stooges around the election.

The Democrats have morphed into full fledged communists nowadays and it's ashamed that the old party

seems to be gone. We wouldn't be in this mess if it weren't for the progressive movement doing its damage

to both parties.

With a dilemna like the one Oh Shoot opened with, it's amazing there are any folks left hanging on to Ron

Paul without considering the damage that could happen if he was to be a deciding factor that allows Obama

to inch out over the Republican nominee, whoever it is. If Congress won't get some balls and stand up to

the current threat, a Supreme Court is all that's left.

Right on! I am a conservative (little "c") and I see no conservative running for Prez that can be elected. We are stuck with Progressives any way we go. We need big changes and not just in the Supreme Court. We need to repeal the 17th Amendment (direct electionof Senators) and get state interests back in central government. We need to increase the size of the House as it is not fixed in stone. The law stating its size is declared null and void every 10 years. The USSC decision of Wood vs Broom stated that after each census the size of the house can be changed by Congress. Right now each House member represents 730,000 citizens. That is totally inane! With a larger House we could input new, younger and unsullied Reps who are truly Conservative. New people would also be out of the loop with the "Masters" ( Corporations and Unions) and could govern honestly. With the Senators tied more closely to their State Legislatures, national influence could be tempered by states' needs. Sound familiar? It is the way the Constitution of the U.S. set it up!

Decrease the bureaucracy and increase the representation!
